Bridge CS4 web output

I am trying to do a web album in CS4 bridge ....I have done this before and all been ok ....but now when I go to preview my album it only does 10 photos instead of the 30 I have selected....the same photos keep coming up ....i have changed the photos to a new folder and still only 10 show up .
Any help will be good

To conserve space Bridge only displays 10 photos in the preview, but it will save the full amount chosen to the file.

Bridge CS4's Output update (for Mac) - 'can't install/quit' message. Can anyone help?

I am trying to download Bridge CS4's Output update, but get a 'can't install/quit' message when I open the dmg file. I have checked system requirements, space etc and everything should be OK. I have been using Bridge CS4 for some years, and for some reason didn't know about the Output add-on.
I have a late 2012 iMac, Processor 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Bridge CS4 Web Galleries - Adding New Web Gallery Presets

Hi. How can i import new web gallery presets into Bridge CS4, for example from lightroomgalleries co? Im on a French Win XP and Photoshop CS4. I know i have to create a folder within Common Files/Adobe/Bridge CS4 Extensions/Adobe output Module/mediagallery/resources/templates/. If i see it right, i have to create another styles folder within that? I manage Bridge CS4 to offer the imported preset in the presets menu, but the results look generic, not like what the preset should do according to the description on the web site. So what can i do?
Are there other sources for other gallery presets?
I would also like to know how to set the name that the Presets menu uses. Ive seen this .dat file which seems to control the names for the menu, but wasnt able to change the name appearing in the menu.
For that, I had copied a complete style like 03filmstrip, changed the xml files and renamed the folder to 09filmstripVariant. Thus it appeared with the original name, but at position 9 in the menu. I didnt find out how to make it appear with a new name.
In these names for Bridge gallery presets, are there certain characters i must avoid like underscore, minus or blank?

Hi all It is still possible to create webgalleries and contactsheets in CS4, but you have to copy some files and folders from a folder called Goodies which you can find on you install disk or download as extras from Adobe.com. In the "...Goodies\Optional plug-ins" folder there is a OptionalPluginsReadMe.pdf where they among other things write: "1. From the Photoshop CS4 install disc, drop the //<language>/Goodies/Optional plug- Ins/Automate/WebContactSheetII plug-in into the //Adobe Photoshop CS4/Plugins/ Automate folder 2. From the Photoshop CS4 install disc, drop the //<language>/Goodies/Presets/Web Photo Gallery folder into the //Adobe Photoshop CS4/Presets folder and then restart Photoshop."

Customizing Bridge CS4 Web Gallery to fit my website

Love the improved web gallery option in Bridge CS4...is there a way that I can make it work within my existing website? I'd like to have my top logo graphic and navigation bar appear above the gallery on the same page so that it integrates well.

Thanks...I figured out that if I open the Index.htm page in my web site editor (MSFT Expression Web) and add the images for the logo and nav bar at the top of the page, the code adjusts to move the gallery down. That's all I need to make it work...

Bridge CS4's Output update for Mac - can't download, Help anyone?

I am trying to download the Output Update for Bridge CS4, which I have been using for some years. When I try to open the dmg file I get a 'can't install/quit' message. I have checked system requirements, space etc and cannot figure out tghe problem. Can anyone advise?

Last resort is a complete uninstall/reinstall--remove preferences if asked.
Use the Cleaner Tool to be sure.

Bridge CS4 Web Gallery upload

I can make the web gallery ok and ask Bridge to upload to server. Bridge connects to server and goes through the process of uploading. Slow but finaly says 'upload complete'.
Problem is that no such file appears on the server. Where does it go? or does it even exist.
I tried naming a folder for the upload but that freezes up part way through the upload.
I can save to disk and upload via ftp but when attempting to access on the website I just get an error message.
Anyone make sense of this?

I have had this issue and have not been able to make a functioning website using bridge.
Adobe has been unable to help me with this problem. They told me it was from my server.
Has anyone ever been able to make a website using bridge?

i downloaded the whole thing locally to test and it wont work on my
system either. again there is an xml file that references the images

The web Gallery let's me customize, for example, the color of the gallery background and others things. Is there a way to store this settings, so
that I can use "my" gallery further on?

How can we increase the number of photos to display? 10 pictures is not much of a gallery?

that's only for preview purposes, you don't need 100 pictures in a gallery to preview how it will look. You can have as many pictures in it as you want when you actually save it

Using CS3 Web Photo Gallery Control Panel in Bridge CS4?

I found where the styles are located in the library, and it doesn't look like the old templates will work with the new Output feature of Bridge. I want to use my old templates from CS3 that I have customized, and would like to use them with Bridge. I have installed the extra Goodies, but they will only work through Photoshop, not Bridge.
Is there a way to have Bridge>Tools>Photoshop bring up the legacy version control panel for the Web Photo Gallery?

Hi Paul,
I'm not a Lightroom user, but the new Web Photo Galleries that come in CS4 are in Bridge. They are Lightroom templates, so there's probably not much difference. I just tried building a gallery in CS4 Bridge with 35 files, and I could not preview more than 10 either through Bridge or in a browser by pressing the preview button. The only way to preview the entire gallery before uploading was by saving the folder, then opening the index file in a browser.
Web Photo Galleries can be created in Photoshop and Bridge CS4 just like they were in previous versions of Photoshop and Bridge. You do need to configure it using the optional Goodies files since it is not part of the initial installation. It's real easy. The link I posted above has more information. Here it is again:

If you do that, you'll have the best of both worlds. You'll have the option of creating web photo galleries with html templates in Bridge or Photoshop CS4, previewing them easily (regardless of size), and have the option of using the new Lightroom flash templates in Bridge CS4.

Web Gallery in Bridge CS4 not working

I've just started using the Web Gallery function in Bridge CS4. The output previews just fine, and loads perfectly from local disk in my browser. When I upload to my webspace, I get just a blank page.
I have contacted my ISP, who say that the problem lies with the Index.html file. They have run it through a validator at W3.org, and it comes back with multiple errors. i have no idea how to fix these errors, and in any case can't understand why it loads just fine from my hard drive, but not from my webspace.

Yeah, and I don't see a 'show file names' box on the templates I've looked at.
What I did was go into the group.xml file and I could find the TITLE tags and changed those to what I wanted for my caption.
Still seems somethings not right, since I had to manually add them.

Bridge CS4 - Save/Print Photos from Web Gallery

I have only been using Bridge CS4 for the last couple months to put web galleries on a web page. I don't know how to change the settings to allow people to save/print the photos from the web gallery once it is posted on the website. I used to create the photo album in Macromedia with "create web photo album" but this was apparently replaced with Bridge, but the old method allowed for saving and printing. Any help is appreciated on allowing this to happen with Bridge web gallery.

Auto fill subject with an Email link in CS4 Bridge flash web gallery

Is there a way to autofill the subject line of the email link in the CS4 Bridge flab web galleries? I can do it if I use the html gallery, but I prefer the look of the flash galleries.
If I open the "group.xml" file I see code for me email link, exp.: <contactEmail>maillto:[email protected]</contactEmail>
I tried adding the "?subject=My Subject" like I would on an html file but that didn't work. I was hoping for some suggestions.

I want it to work on the click of a mouse: when I run or test the page the email comes up immediately. Here is what I have so far:

Output from Bridge cs4 not available.

Bridge output to pdf and web are gone.
Adobe Creative Suite CS4 Web Premium on Windows 7 64
I cannot output (photoshop) files to pdf and web.
Reinstall with the DVD doesnot help.

I was just concerned that Bridge was not seeing folders like it should . If it looks like the screen shot of mine I am almost out of ideas.
But before you do that also reset the prreferences in Photoshop just in case. For this start PS and hold down Ctrl + Alt + Shift and you will get a reset window. It is a little tricky and if you see the splash screen you are too late.
If if worked before and you have made no changes there might be a file that got corrupted somehow.
Just to be safe you might open the keywords pannel and in the dropdown box click on Export. You can export you keywords list to a safe location just in case.
If you have any special actions and stuff in PS you might save thoese also as Bridge is a part of Photoshop so you will have to reset everything.

Output panel Bridge CS4 is blank

In Bridge C4 the output panel is blank. No option to make contact sheets or a web galery.
I enabled the startup script for the output module, I have reset all the preferences (ctrl at startup fo Bridge) and I reset the standard workspace. I also reinstalled CS4. Updated etc. Nothing worked.
When I look in the folder startup scripts I see no file at all.
Can someone help me?

Try this. It's been reported as successfully solving this issue for a customer recently.
Manually reset preferences, purge the entire thumbnail cache and reset your default workspace:
Note: If you are unable to find the Application Data folder, enable Windows to show hidden files and folders. For instructions, see the documentation included with Windows.
Delete the entire contents of the Cache folder located at C:\Documents and Settings\ [user] \Application Data\Adobe\Bridge CS4.
Delete the "!!Last.workspace" file located at C:\Documents and Settings\ [user] \Application Data\Adobe\Bridge CS4\Workspaces.
Delete the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Bridge CS4\Preferences

Title information on contact sheets, output to JPG in Bridge CS4

Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't seem to find a place to add an overall Project Title and other general information in the contact sheet for Bridge CS4. There are the two overlays you can add for filename and extension, but that's it (and those aren't customizable). The watermark option puts text in the center of the page, and I'd prefer it in an upper corner instead, with the option for multiple lines.
Also, are the only 2 output options PDF and web gallery? I'd prefer JPG.

First, for jpeg you will have to use the old Contact sheet script for CS3.
If you want so you can copy this script to the CS4 (I even believe it is in
the goodie map that is on your installation disk for CS4.)
But to be honest, my first reaction in missing jpegs was the same but after
some experience with AOM contact sheets as PDF I really started to love them
It sounds you have not update Adobe Output Module, if using the latest
version you will have a Header and Footer section where you can add a title
and page number.
For the placement options of the watermark you should file a feature request
(main Bridge forum page at the right side column under section 'links'
