Bridge CS6:  Output to Web or PDF - insufficient disk space..

I have recently installed the CS6 cloud version of Bridge, but now get this error when trying to produce (or refresh) a contact sheet using Output to Web or PDF - There is insufficient disk space to complete this operation
The error occurs no matter what the file size is, or if multiple of single files are selected - and as the sole application open. I'm running the application in OS X 10.8, with 8GB of RAM and 512MB of VRAM, so disk space doesn't seem to be the issue?
I've just installed the lastest Bridge update, but this has made no difference. Thanks for your feedback in advance..

I've found an old post which highlights a USERS folder conflict?
Without any significant knowledge about working over a network I do know Bridge uses a Cache file on a user related base. So it might be possible it confuses the two folders if you have both company and private network based on the same user name.
But as said, just a wild guess. If you need to work over a network try the blog from the Image Archivist, he also used to hang around here in the past:

  • Bridge CS6 Output to HTML Gallery - images not showing up

Bridge CS6 Output to HTML Gallery issue - my images are not showing up. The files look the same on the local and remote files. The images populate on the local and not on the remote. Is this a JavaScript problem.
    Any help is appreciated.
I've done a work around solution by using Lightroom, creating a quick collection for a custom order HTML web gallery. I would much prefer to stay within Bridge CS6 and have its HTML gallery actually work...

    Hi AlbiDan,
Its possible that it might be a Javascript issue. I see that javascript is used in the HTML gallery. Did you upload through Bridge or from an FTP client? Do you have the URL for a broken gallery?

  • Adobe Bridge CS6, Output to HTML Gallery coding issue.

Adobe Bridge CS6, Output to HTML Gallery coding issue.
I have created the html, JavaScript, css file using the output function in Bridge CS6, which nicely generates the coding, pages, folders and files. I can edit the html files such as gallery title, name, etc., in Dreamweaver CS6 just fine and preview them in a selected browser (both chrome and IE) and everything works fine.
When I ftp upload the files and directories into my hosting account (Go Daddy), the images do not show up. The file table appears but the thumbs images does not appear and when selected to preview the larger image, it does not appear either. I have not altered the file structure at all. Go Daddy says it is a coding issue, but I cannot fine any errors.
Have you seen this issue before? All Adobe help research have failed. Any suggestions??

Have you asked on Go Daddy site for help in uploading Adobe Bridge script?  Just to say it is coding is not helpful.

  • CS6 Bridge Insufficient disk space error when on the domain

We have a windows domain enviroment, and we run iMacs for the design team.  Using the newest Mac OS X we get the "Insufficient disk space to complete this opperation " error after loading images in Bridge and then try to change or saved them.  When we are not connected to the domain, we can modify and save them locally fine.  But once we log onto the Windows Domain (we have mapped drives using SMB links for storage) you can not use Bridge.  Is this a cashing issue with the mapped drives or is this something else.  I've only seen one other post on this and there was never a real fix.
They could use Brige fne on CS5 using the previous version of MacOS(in facct they still have to right now).  So i'm not sure if it is a Mac os issue or a windows/mac issue.  From what I understand the two macs (older laptop and newer laptop) are set up the same way with the mapped drives using the same Domain log in so the preferences are the same.
The new mac is loaded with an i7, and 16gb ram, and plenty of drive space so I know its not that.
    Thanks for any help

    Anybody have any ideas?
Not many here now about network set ups. Bridge is not designed for use over a network and also officially not supported by Adobe.
Bridge also uses a user specific library for its cache data.

  • Adobe Bridge CS5, error when creating contact sheet "There is insufficient disk space..."

I am running Bridge CS5 for the first time and I receive this error when attempting to create a contact sheet. "There is insufficient disk space to complete this operation." The image files I am using are web optimized and very small. The error even occurs when attempting one small image. I have gone back to using Bridge CS4 and it works just fine. Any help?
    Thanks!

I think I narrowed this down to having a network volume mounted with a share name of "Users".  The strange thing is even you if unmount the volume you will still have problems.  However, if you avoid mounting the volume entirely (from boot) it will be OK.
The solution, it appears, is to rename the sharepoint to something other than "Users".  This worked for us.  I'm not sure if it matters whether the server is Windows or Mac OS.  In our case the sharepoint was an AFP volume on Mac OS.
We had other errors related to Bridge such as "unable to create folder" and the path in the message appeared to be /Users/currentUser/.....  which made no sense at all.  However, if Bridge was internally trying to use /Volumes/Users (the mounted sharepoint), it would not only not find "currentUser", but it would not have permissions to create that folder either.
So, another possible solution could be to grant file creation rights on the network volume "Users".  Another not-so-great idea.
    Hope that helps someone else!

  • Adobe Creative Suite 4 Error "Paused-Insufficient Disk Space!" Help!

    Hi guys,
I am downloading the Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection CS4 Trial Version and everything went well until the time I downloaded 4 GB out of 5.43 GB. The Akamai Download Manager said: "Paused - Insufficient Disk Space!" I don't know why this would happen. I restarted the Download Manager a couple of times, but they came up with the same error. I don't know what to do! I am installing it on an external hard drive, maybe thats the problem. On my Local Disk I have 9 GB left, so I turned to my external drive, which had 445 GB, but after downloading the 4 GB, has 440 GB left. Can anyone please help me? • Acrobat X Pro Error when Save As JPEG: Insufficient Disk Space to Perform Operation

Using Acrobat X Pro when trying to save a PDF as an Image - JPEG format, the Acrobat application fails with an error: "Acrobat could not save a page in this document because of the following error: Insufficient disk space to perform the operation (Page 1)". Please help with a solution to this problem. The problem is not because of insufficient disk space on my PC.

    Thank you for the reply.
Please can you help with the location of the TEMP folder and which temporary files to delete (file type/extension). Each of the these folders include an "Adobe" Folder. Each "Adobe" folder size is less than 1MB.
I am using Windows 8.1 Enterprise 64-bit. I have the following Adobe Acrobat applications installed: Distiller X, X Pro and Reader XI. Is this combination perhaps causing the problem?

  • CC apps install failed "insufficient disk space"

After a long battle I have finally got the Adobe Creative Cloud installer working on my Mac.
Now every time I try to install an application (doesn't matter which) it fails with this error message "Insufficient disk space. Clear space on untitled and try again. (-30)".
I don't need to read any more useless replies from people saying that the OS drive needs space and that 20GB isn't enough to install Photoshop. I have a 240GB Intel SSD installed and I have over 50GB free. This should be sufficient since I previously had CS6 installed.
The only somewhat useful log file I could find is ~/Library/Logs/AdobeDownload/DLM_Native.log, the error it gives out is: "startDownload: Failed to start the download. The DLE status is -1"
Can anyone lead me in the right direction to getting this working, otherwise it's pretty much a waste of money if I can't even use the products.
    -Andrew

So I found the solution, the developers of the Creative Cloud installer seem to store downloaded files in /private/tmp and mine was only 256MB in a RAM disk.
Since I have an SSD I followed some simple directions to move /tmp and /private/tmp to a RAM disk. After much more searching I found another post (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1235272) that had a solution for my problem.
So to fix the "insufficient disk space on untitled" issue I moved (or you can delete) /System/Library/StartupItems/RamFS to disable the RamFS script from running on startup (I had no luck with chmod 000).
The ultimate solution to fix this is to get the Adobe developers to change the program to store temporary software downloads in a proper location and not rely on /private/tmp (or on Windows probably c:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\temp). There should be an option in the preferences panel to select the temporary files location in case someone doesn't have space on the main disk (or c:\).
FYI this is the optimization page that recommened the RamFS: http://blog.alutam.com/2012/04/01/optimizing-macos-x-lion-for-ssd/
Hope this helps someone else out!

  • [INS-32021] Insufficient disk space on this volume for the selected Oracle

    Folks,
Hello. I am installing Oracle 11gR2 RAC Grid using Installer whose location is: /home/.../grid/runInstaller.
I am on step 4 of 8 in the Wizard whose contents are as follows:
    Oracle Base: /u01/11g_grid
    Software Location: /u01/app/grid
    Cluster Registry Type: ASM
    OSASM Group: dba
When click "next" button I got this error:
" [INS-32021] Insufficient disk space on this volume for the selected Oracle home
Cause - The selected Oracle home was on a volume without enough disk space.
Action - Choose a location for Oracle home that has enough space (minimum of 3,017MB) or free up space on the existing volume. "
I test my "home" directory using the command: [ora11g@rac1 home]$ df -k
    Its Ouput:
    Filesystem: /dev/sda1 and tmpfs
    1K-blocks: 20,308,020 and 848,184
    Used: 18,888,968 and 0
    Available: 370,816 and 848,184
    Use: 99% and 0%
    Mounted on : / and /dev/shm
I run another command: [ora11g@rac1 u01]$df -k and got the same output as above.
    My questions are:
First, is "Oracle home" the directory "/home/..." or the directory "/u01/..." ?
Second, how to increase the space for the correct directory to be over 3017MB (Minimum) ?
    Thanks.

    Folks,
Hello. Thanks a lot for replying.
I am installing Oracle 11gR2 RAC using 2 Virtual Machines (rac1 and rac2).The Virtual Disk for each VM is 20 GB whose raw device is /dev/sda (partition /dev/sda1 is the same size).
In order to install Grid Infrastructure, I add 5 Hard Disks into the first VM rac1 and 10GB for each Hard Disk. Then create 5 ASM disks respectively as a Disk Group. Let me describe them as follows:
    OS Phyysical file: C:\VM_RAC\sharerac\asmdisk1.vmdk (asmdisk2.vmdk asmdisk3.vmdk asmdisk4.vmdk asmdisk5.vmdk)
Corresponding raw devices: /dev/sdb (sdc sdd sde sdf)
    Corresponding partition: /dev/sdb1 (sdc1 sdd1 sde1 sdf1)
    Corresponding ASM disk: ASMDISK1 (ASMDISK2 ASMDISK3 ASMDISK4 ASMDISK5)
When I run Grid installer step 5 of 8, I select all of 5 ASMDISK as ASM disk group on step 5 of 8 in the Wizard.
The clusterware files are supposed to be stored in the ASM disk group.
But it seems that on step 4 of 8 in the Wizard, the installer install the Oracle Home /u01 into VM rac1 Hard Disk /dev/sda1 and get the above error message - not enough disk space.
    My questions are:
First, Why does the Installer store Oracle Home /u01 in /dev/sda1 because it should be in the Disk Group /dev/sdb1 (sdc1 sdd1 sde1 sdf1) ?
Second, Does the Installer go wrongly ?
Third, How to have the Installer store the clasterware files in ASM Disk Group ?
    Thanks.

  • Insufficient disk space for SunStudio 12

    Hello,
I am fairly new to Solaris (was on Linux before) but anyway I tried to install SunStudio 12. Prepare went well but when I ran install script:
    *./batch_installer -p all --accept-sla*
    or even GUI installation:
    *./installer &*
    there was following report displayed:
    Installation failed: insufficient disk space.
Then i did df -kh to check disk space and got output as follows:
Filesystem size used avail capacity Mounted on

    /dev/dsk/c0d1s7 33G 1,2G 31G 4% /export/home
Then I tried to redirect installation to /export/home just to test what report will
be now. There was same report again regardless of *31GB* of available space.
So, am I missing something here ?
Any idea would be welcome. Thank you.
    Josip

I think the problem is that there is not enough space in / filesystem:
    /dev/dsk/c0d1s0 4,6G 4,4G 98M 98% /
It has only 98 Mb free. By default Sun Studio is installed at /opt, which is a directory in / filesystem.
I'd suggest you to extract Sun Studio Express from the tar.gz file. You can download it from this page:
    http://developers.sun.com/sunstudio/downloads/express/index.jsp
Extract it somewhere (say /export/home/ss12), set PATH and run compilers and tools.
    Thanks,
    Nik

  • "Insufficient disk space for encoding" There is!!!!

    Hi,
I've got a problem that is really driving me crazy.
When ever I write an .img or even burn to disk, the following comes up:
"Insufficient disk space for encoding. Please free up disk space on your encoding target drive"
This is untrue. I have 6.95 GB left on my hard drive, plenty on my LaCie drives and enough on my DVD-R. I really don't know what the problem is. I've written DVDs with less than 6.95 GB before.
    Can anyone help?
    Many Thanks,
    Pete Cooke

That's not enough, when your hard drive gets about 80% full, then you may begin to see this issue. There is alot of files that are temporary, that also use disk space during the build process.
You really need alot more space than what you currently have left, (like 20GB) or more.
Look, I know that some here are on a shoe string budget, but the prices that ATA firewire drives are at now, there cheep. I just saw one on deal-mac.com, (250GB ATA, internal) for $80.00 and a 160GB for $40.00. You could replace your current firewire drive, for not much.
I know, you don't want to open the external firewire drive inclosure, that's ok, I also have a solution for that. It's a one time expense, but get a firewire bridge, like the one Wiebetech.com sells for $120.00 and from then on, you can just purchase raw internal HD's on sale as the need arises and plug those drives in via the 6pin firewire bridge from Wiebetech. This has saved me allot cash on purchasing the fire interface over and over, (as you have to do when purchasing an external firewire drive.)
I just move the Wiebetech drive dock firewire bridge from drive to drive as needed, I now have 4 of them. It also allows me to quickly archive off footage to an ATA drive quickly, as well as use that footage from that drive while authoring a DVD or FCP project.
I have looked at other solution like this, but this seems to be the lowest cost per GB & buck, ($.)

  • Insufficient disk space during index build?

    Hi All,
I have a library of pdf documents on a network share that I am indexing weekly from my laptop (overnight).  Recently, the index build has failed with the error message "insufficient disk space".  I have contacted the server admin and I have been assured that we have many hundreds of gb free.  In any case, the available space is much larger than the size of the document repository.  As a test, I copied the entire library to my local hard drive and the index build worked perfectly.  I'm concerned that there is another network issue at play here that isn't apparent from the error message.
I haven't found anything on Adobe's website on this error.  Can anyone help?

Try emptying the TEMP folder. A lot of applications, including Acrobat use the TEMP folder as a temporary work space and it is limited by Windows.

  • Error: Insufficient disk space & file write permissions

when my client edits a page and the click save i get the following error:
the permissions for the includes folder are 755.
I dont have this problem on other websites however and they are setup the same way.

I am having the identical problem this week with incontext editing of a website I could edit fine last week with incontext editing but this week I cannot save changes to any page I try to edit, even though I've not made any changes to the site in the week since.
If I Edit one page and try to save the changes, I get one of two errors:
"The operation could not be performed because a problem occured while attempting to connect to the server. Please check your connection and try again."
    or
"The operation could not be performed because there is insufficient disk space or the file write permission is not granted."
I then went to the Incontext editing control panel, Manage Users, Configure Site and there I can click Test Connection and it reports it can successfully connect to the site using FTP. But when I try to Save that Configure Site (even though I've made no changes except to click Test Connection) I get two different errors each time I try...
The first error reported was the unable to connect to the server error.
"The operation could not be performed because a problem occured while attempting to connect to the server. Please check your connection and try again."
    or
"Configure Site Error. An FTP error occurred. A test file could not be copied to the specified Host Directory. Your FTP user may not have sufficient permissions to access the folder and/or its content."
I am 100% certain there is no problem on the server with insufficient disk space or file permissions, so this is an incorrect error message being reported by InContext Editing. I can connect to the site and make and save changes with Dreamweaver with the identical FTP settings. This site is on a server at GoDaddy that has plenty of disk space and I can see that all the permissions on site folders are set correctly.
At this point I have a very frustrated client who is anxious to edit web pages but cannot.
