Bridge CS6 won't delete images.
Having a problem where Adobe CS6 Image Downloader isn't deleting images from the card. Once the download is complete the tool just shuts off, no verification, no asking for delete verification. I've tried mulitple cards and readers same results.
Help
usually when a file can not be deleted, it has to do with the file being used elsewhere, kind of a lock. This could happen if the same program that viewed the picture, then tries to delete, because that same program failed to unlock the file when it was done viewing it.
If all pictures are transfered to your computer and you don't want any images on the card anymore the best and the quickest way is to put the card back in the camera and select format card from its menu. Once you used the format a few times, its usually fairly fast to find it. But all camera are not the same, so I can't speak for all of them, if you know what I mean.

Can I use Bridge CS6 as a central image database for linking to multiple documents?
Can I use Bridge CS6 as a central image database for linking to multiple documents?
It's only really good for Adobe document formats, if you want to be able to view and/or tag documents.

Bridge CS6 can't open image with Photoshop CS6
I installed Bridge CS6 and Photoshop CS6 with my Mac Pro with drive 1, which was cloned with drive 2 as a backup.
Now every time I try to open my RAW file in Bridge, it opens the file with the Photoshop with drive 2 instead of 1.
I have tried to eject the drive 2, but Bridge (with drive 1) fails to find the Photoshop in drive 1.
I have to force to open the Photoshop CS6 before Bridge in order to open the image, is there a way to sovle this problem? This is a user to user Forum, so you are not really addressing Adobe here, even though some Adobe employees thankfully have been dropping by.

If you are actually interested in trouble-shooting please read this (in particular the section titled "Supply pertinent information for quicker answers"):
http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2325
What have you done for trouble-shooting so far anyway? (Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point.)

Bridge CS6 won't open in Windows 8 PC
First time trying to open Bridge from Photoshop it says "Waiting on Bridge CS6...If i try to launch Bridge alone nothing happens.
I had Photoshop 2 installed on my PC when I installed the new CS6 suite. I've heard this may be an issue. Most searches for a fix speak about Windows 7 and not Windows 8. Win 8 is different, so I am still dead in the water!
Help please! No nothing about Win8 as it is a step down from Win7, although newer. But it should have the same files if you can figure out how to access them.

I use Bridge CS6 on a Mac to create & upload web galleries directly to my website. My web server just changed and they no longer support FTP, only FTPS. When I try to upload a web gallery now, Bridge gives me the message that my username/password is incorrect. I have tested the server and can connect via Fetch so I know that it's possible to connect to the server. Is there anywhere in Bridge that allows you to change the FTP settings to allow it to recognize the FTPS? I cannot seem to find any information, I feel like there should be a simple fix and I'm probably overlooking it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I Have a Master collection license. Is there a possibility to install Bridge separately ? There is no option to install it separately during the install process :-/
Bridge is not a seperate program. It is part of Photoshop. That is why some users have to launch Bridge the first time from PS to make it work.
Not familliar with the Suite, but if there are other applications where you can launch Bridge from the program try it.
Also, make sure you have uninstalled any Adobe trials that may cause a conflict with permissions. -
I can't get images to open in CS6. Get the following message. "Adboe Photoshop CS6 stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working." Reistalled several times. This error also happens with Elments 10. Installed older verson of Elements 7 and this works fine. HP ENVY 64 bit, plenty of ram, gigs etc. Spent several hour with HP support, checking system, no virus's etc. Can open images in Bridges...Camera Raw
I'm just suggesting that I have to look at all here...that's all. I' m looking for help, trying to resolve an issue has not been changed on my part since I install CS6 7 month ago along with NIK, no updates, no nothing. You guys got plug - in on CS6 to run third party software, that's why it's there...Correct? Somewhere, other than yourself, someone at Adobe must have come across these issues with plug-ins and have some sort of guidance. I read all the issues with CS6 and they are not all related to third party software. So don't come like to me like Adobe doesn't have issues with a $675.00 program and you all "walks on water." It always the "others guys fault. I expect support. for Adobe, NIK, Epson and all the other folks That I buy from I'm a photographer, not a software expert. Expect Adobe to help resolve an issue, not blame others....Hope I', clear on this. One way or the other I'll get this resolved with or without Adobe's help.
And if I do run another plug in and it doesn't work then for sure I would expect Adobe to replace the CS6 -
Bridge CS6 won't launch in Mac
I just installed Photoshop CS6 on my Mac, 10.7, and when I try to launch Bridge the icon bounces for a few seconds, but then it just closes, no errors or anything at all. It opens fine on the same machine with my other ID. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling twice, got the updates etc. Any advice?
Thanks,
TomDid you try resetting preferences? Hold down the Option key and start Bridge. You should get a reset window with 3 options.

Bridge CS4 Won't Download Images
I just bought a new computer with Wndows 8.1. I've installed Adobe Creative Suite 4 and encountered a problem with Bridge CS4. When I select File > Get Photos From Camera the dialogue box comes up, but it gets stuck on "Loading Device List... Please Wait"
Bridge freezes at this point and the only way I can close the program is to use Task Manager.
I've searched both this forum and the rest of the net and I've seen a number of people with the same issue but no fix aside from reseting the operating system. Has anyone had the same issue and found a solution, or have some ideas?
I've already ruled out issues with the SD card and card reader - issue occurs with multiple cards and readers. I've gone through the Adobe" Bridge Help / Troubleshoot errors, freezes" and tried everything suggested there. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
MattYes, as soon as the card is plugged in the Bridge Downloader comes up and does the same thing -
gets stuck on "Loading Device List... Please Wait".
Thanks for the response. -

Bridge cs6 won't display .flv thumbnails??
any suggestions? It appears adobe doesn't offer any help...
How much homework have you done on this issue to narrow down the problem? Perhaps using one of the older formats? Perhaps the header is causing problems with generating a thumbnail?
Here are some excerpts from flv open source website http://osflash.org/flv. Hope they are relevant.
It is possible to place H.264 and AAC streams into the traditional FLV file, but Adobe strongly encourages everyone to embrace the new standard file format. There are functional limits with the FLV structure when streaming H.264 which couldn't be overcome without a redesign of the file format. This is one of the reasons Adobe is moving away from the traditional FLV file structure. Specifically dealing with sequence headers and enders is tricky with FLV streams. Adobe is still working out if it's possible to place On2 VP6 streams into the new file format.
Video needs to be in H.264 format only. MPEG-4 Part 2 (Xvid, DivX etc.) video is not supported, H.263 video is not supported, Sorenson Video is not supported. A lot of pod casts are still using MPEG-4 Part 2 so do not be surprised if you do not see any video.

Adobe Bridge CS6 "The operation could not be completed"
I cannot get Bridge CS6 to run under my Mac account. All other accounts on my MacBook Pro work fine with Bridge. I have re-installed CS6 several times and I have searched the internet for days to find a solution. I can see that this is a common problem but there is no workable solution, and Adobe still refuses to admit there is a problem and to offer a fix.
Only my account won't run this product all other accounts on the same machine seem to work okay.
Then the problem lies in your account. A fresh install would not help unless you also used the Adobe Clean tool to remove all other settings. But that is a bit harsh to try because then all other Suite info is also deleted and you have to reinstall the lot.
And when the app runs in other account it means the install on root level (where your default application folder is and where all other account also make use of) is correct.
The easiest thing would be to create a new account but I don't know if that is an option for you regarding other settings and stuff in this account.
First run Apple Disk utility on your problem account to check and repair disk permissions.
Then open your user library (by default hidden, use menu Go and press option to reveal this library)
Go to the folder called preferences and inhere is Bridge5 plist file, delete this to the trash.
In same user library go the folder called Caches and follow this path / Adobe/ Bridge CS6 and inhere delete both the folder called Cache and the plug in. All deleted files will refresh them selves after you managed to restart Bridge.
Then again use the option Curt provided, hold down option key while restarting Bridge and from the options choose preferences.
Then try again.
The other option would be to use the MacOs recovery disk on this user account to create a new user library while archiving the older one.
Disk drive 750Gb with 40Gb spare.
Usually at least 10 % free space is recommended for running smoothly. Bridge is very processor demanding and if you have other applications running 40 GB is simply to low to run your system and apps smoothly.
Also be aware that if you have multiple user accounts installed and on all accounts you use Bridge you should find a new location for the cache file. By default Cache is stored in the User library (see above). And depending on amount and size of files and preview settings (100% preview creates huge files) this cache folder can grow to very large proportions.
If you have different user accounts and all create their own library you need to recache every time you visit in the new account.
I have no personal experience with multiple accounts on my machine so don't know if Bridge can handle multiple accounts on one machine with one cache folder on root level.
Network usage is not supported and often difficult but having one machine with one root file for cache might work without problems. -
Bridge (cs6) on mac computer
Im running Bridge (cs6) on my mac computer and have been doing this for long time. Since last week Bridge is coming up with a message: "Bridge encountered a problem. Try to empty cache." After doing the application crashes. If I dont try to empty cache, application crashes anyway.
To recap ... Bridge opens OK ... but when you select a file or image ... it starts 'Building Criteria" and then CRASHES.

Adobe Bridge CS6 has stopped working - has issue been resolved?
Hello.
I am experiencing the above problem with a new install of CS6.
Has this issue been resolved?
CS6 Design and Web Premium installed on Win 7 pro 64 bit Dell Precision laptop. Error with Adobe Bridge cs6: "Adobe Bridge CS6 has stopped working", problem event name "APPCRASH". Error occurs when opening Bridge from Photoshop and other apps (Browse in Bridge) and directly from desktop or start menu. Also a cache directory is not being created under c:\user\<user>\appdata\roaming\adobe\bridge\. Holding ctrl key down and double clicking icon gets same message, cannot get at reset window.
Performed the following with no change: verified Bridge and full suite is on latest version (Bridge=5.0.2.4); created desktop icon directly from bridge.exe; verified application was installed and is starting with administrator privileges; verified latest display driver installed; performed complete uninstall of CS6, CC cleaner tool run, then full reinstall; Error under Event Viewer: faulting application: Bridge.exe and faulting module name: ntdll.dll; disabled UAC; tested memory for damage using MemTest86-good.
Thanks for any help you can provide.A follow up to the above.
There appears to be a number of possible causes for this type of error. In my case it was somewhat specific. I had a stand alone copy on this same machine previously of Adobe Photoshop CS2 (only) which was completely uninstalled prior to the installation of CS6. There is an issue with Bridge CS6 being installed on a machine that has Bridge CS2 on it. I wasn't aware of Bridge being present with my copy of Photoshop CS2 but apparently there were at least some components of Bridge CS2 left after the uninstall. The workaround that solved the issue for me was the creation of an empty folder:
C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge CS2
For those of you who may have this situation.
Here is where I found the solution (sixth thread down):

Bridge CS6 with Photoshop CC?
Due to problems I'm having with Bridge CC I'd like to use Bridge CS6, but when using Image Processor from Bridge CS6 it launches PS CS6 (even if PS CC is already open). Is there a way to direct Bridge to use PS CC 2014 instead?
I'm on a Mac running Mavericks.I think the problem is actually in Bridge>Prefrences>Startup Scripts.
There I have the option to allow applications to communicate with CS 6 (otherwise Image Processor wont work) but not CC.
Is it possible to insert a PS CC 2014 Startup Script in there? Where would I find it and where would I put it?

Is it OK to leave the power plugged in when the computer is fully charged?
I often have my MacBook Pro on my desk and it's a pain charging it up then running it down all the time. Would it be OK to just leave the power plugged in all the time? Is it bad for the battery or not? Cheers.
