Bridge cs6

Upgraded to PS cs6 extended. Everything is working as it should except, Bridge.
When I go to delete a file I get this error message.
"The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient permissions".
How do I fix this?

Now what is that telling me and how do I fix it in the other user account.
Bridge can be very critical on a system but I have absolutely no clue what would have caused this problem.
First I would try a check and repair permissions on your start up disk using the Apple Disk Utility.
But to be honest, in the past this did not work very often.
And second I would use the hard way to reset Bridge:
Quit Bridge and go to the user library (not root!!)
user (your username) / library / caches / Adobe / Bridge CS6 / and inhere grab both the plug in file and cache folder and drag them to the trash (you don't need to delete it directly so keep it there as a back up option)
Then in same library but preference folder find an delete the Bridge list file to the trash (com.adobe.bridge5.plist) (Bridge version 5 comes with CS6)
And for security also remove the same files for prior versions if they are still present.
Then restart Bridge holding down option key and choose reset preferences.
This should provide you an almost new and fresh Bridge with factory settings.
If this does not work an Archive and install from the OSX system disk would be an option. Start up from the system disk and from the options in the menu choose Archive and Install. This keeps all your files and applications but makes a copy of your old libraries and creates new and fresh libraries. After this you have to run software update and apply the OSX combo update and all other updates again. This gives you a fresh user account and usually takes you about less then an hour. But be sure to have made a proper back up of all your files and settings for security.

  • Adobe Bridge CS6 stalls in Photoshop...

I downloaded CS6 Design Standard from Adobe webpage and have tried several times to get mini bridge/bridge to run, but the message 'Waiting for Bridge CS6' runs for hours. I am using a 64-bit Dell desktop with Windows 7 Home Premium. I have tried option 4 on Error: Waiting for Bridge | Mini Bridge panel, but nothing changes on deleting the Switchboard from the registry. Some folks here have suggested looking up bridge.exe in the Task Manager, but my task manager doesn't even show it up.
I would appreciate help, and soon.

Well… that's your expectation.  Did you pay for the download? During the first 30 days you'd be entitled to your money back, but it's been a heck of a lot longer since Adobe demanded or accepted any mnoney for "CS6 Design Standard".  If you just recently acquired that obsolete suite, it was certainly not through a legal purchase from the Adobe store.

I haven't got a clue what you mean by that nonsensical grammatical construction, nor does that question seem to have anything to do with your original post.    ??? ?? ?

  • Adobe Bridge CS6, Camera Raw

    Hello,
    I need urgently help.
I'm working on a MacBook Pro with Adobe Bridge CS6 since more than 1 year, using Camera Raw, v 8.6.0.254 without any problems.
Last month I bought a Mac Book Air and installed Photoshop Elements 12, Adobe Bridge CS6 and Photoshop CS6. But I'm still missing the possibility to open my pictures in Camera Raw.
After downloading the actual version 7.01 of Camera Raw from the website of Adobe.com and trying to install it I got the following error report:
    UPDATE FEHLGESCHLAGEN;
Updates konnten nicht installiert werden. Dieser Path ist für Sie nicht geeignet.
Name of the downloaded program is: AdobeCameraRaw-7.1-mul-AdobeUpdate.
What shall I do to get Camera Raw running?
Thanks so much for your help

  • Adobe Bridge CS6 on Retina Display

I just installed Photoshop CS6 Extended on a Retina Macbook Pro and updated Bridge, Camera Raw, and Photoshop with the latest updates. In Photoshop, everything looks crisp (including Camera Raw when opening it from Photoshop), but Bridge is still blurry. In addition, when opening Camera Raw from Bridge, everything is blurry. There are no updates available for Bridge/Photoshop/Camera Raw when I check for updates...any ideas on fixing this?
    Adobe Bridge CS6 - 5.0.2.4
    Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended 13.0.6 x64
    Adobe Camera Raw 8.3.0.141

There is no such thing. In CS6 only PS itself is Retina compatible. You would have to use CC for full Retina support.

  • Adobe Bridge CS6 display question

I am a landscape photographer.  Many times I shoot multiple exposures of the same scene to combine them later in HDR.  These are generally 3 or 5 exposures taken at the same time.  It would be very useful to see each set of multiple exposures on a separate line in Adobe Bridge so I can quickly choose which set to use for processing in HDR.  Does anybody know how to do that?  I could not see it in the View options in the menu bar of Bridge.  I am using Adobe Bridge CS6 (5.0.1.21) on MAC OSX 10.6.8. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

You can't do so in Bridge when having different amounts of series. If you shot always 5 you could drag the content window to a new size in combination with changing the thumbnail size so 5 thumbs would show in a row. The same with 3 but there is no way to have a content window showing 1 line with 3 and 1 line with 5 files in the same panel.
In filmstrip mode you have 1 single line but that does not meet you wishes also.
There is the option to auto stack for HDR or Photomerge (Stacks / Auto stack Panorama-HDR) but frankly spoken this sucks because it either does not do the job properly or simply crashes Bridge to my experience.

  • Adobe Bridge (CS6) - bulk action - JPEG Options must be OKed for every image

    Hi all-
I created an action script for a watermark in Photoshop CS6. Then, I ran my script as a bulk action in Adobe Bridge (CS6) against my JPEGs. However, the JPEG Options dialog/window appears for every image in PS. Is there a way to have this automatically OK (and at the highest quality) so that I don't have to sit and click OK over and over?
I am on a Mac btw.
    Thanks!

  • File Associations in Bridge CS6

I upgraded CS5 Design Premium to CS6 Design & Web Premium. Most of my preferences (layout, etc) were imported correctly from CS5. When I right-click (PC, Windows 7) on the Bridge CS6 thumbnail, and click on 'Open with ...', there was a collection of Microsoft programs (COM Surrogate 6.1, Microsoft PowerPoint 12.0, Publisher 12.0, Windows Live Photo Gallery 15.4), and no Photoshop (Default). When I used  the WIndows fille-associations program, and Photoshop CS6 was associated with *.psd files, then it appeared in the 'Open with ...' menu as Photoshop (Default). However, the other Microsoft programs are still present. How do I get rid of these and add the relevant Adobe programs (Ai, Id, Dw, etc), please?

With Windows 7 unfortunately you're not really given the tools to completely manage what shows up in the context menu.  It seems to be part of Microsoft's strategy of oversimplifying things, even when there's loss of functionality, so that laypeople don't find Windows daunting.  I always figured better education and help facilities ought to do the trick, but they continually take the power to control one's own computer away.  You don't want to know what's coming in Windows 8.

  • White Balance Metadata not showing in Adobe Bridge CS6

Hi there, I am running Bridge CS6 on a Mac, and use Canon 5D and 5DMark 111 cameras. I have an issue with Bridge which I can not seem to figure out. Whether I shoot Raw or JPG and I am trying to do some testing for white balance, once I open the images in Bridge, in the little icon panel just below the folders/favourites panel etc I can see the f stop info, speed, metering , ISO etc, but the only icons I get for WB are if use auto - then I see AUTO.  But when I do a manual WB like 'cloudy', 'tungsten', or 'shade' etc all I get are the symbols for 'Custom" or "Manual".  How do I get the actual symbols for what type of WB i've chosen to show up?
I have purged the Cache - both in the individual folder and the overall Cache in preferences.  I have checked that all the boxes are ticked in the preferences panel for the Metadata.  So not sure what else to do.
    Cheers D

Ok thanks for that, at least I wont be chasing my tail.
I did install the DNG converter 8.3 but I still NEF files as a NEF icon. Any clues to what I may not be doing right there?

  • Camera Raw Preferences in Adobe Bridge CS6

I can click on Camera Raw Preferences from the Adobe CS6 Menu, but nothing happens. No error meesages come up, but nothing happens.
I recently installed ACR7.3. I did have some problems getting ACR7.3 installed. The updater from Photoshop and Bridge didn't seem to install it.  I had to download ACR7 and install it.
After the successful install of ACR7.3,  I can double click on an image in Adobe Bridge CS6 and it will open the raw image in ACR7.3 in Photoshop CS6.
The other annoyance is that the images for my RAW files for my Panasonci GH3 don't display in Adobe Bridge. They appear as a blank icon
    I am running on a Mac OS X 10.6.8 64 bit
    Adobe Bridge CS6 5.0.0.399
    Adobe Camera Raw 7.3.0.71
    Adobe PS C6 13.0.4  x64
I do have older versions of Adobe CS5 and CS4 that I have never removed. I've never had problems before. And didn't need the space so I just left them.
Any ideas of why Adobe Bridge CS6 and ACR7.3 aren't in sync? - Thanks Rod

Ok, everything was ok until I rebooted my machine. Now when I open Adobe Bridge CS6, The Raw images show up initially. But when Adobe Bridge finally gives me control, the images have become blank icons again. I've tried the CommandOptionShift and it does not help.  It was fine for two weeks and now I can't get the raw images to stay.
Here is what I see as Adobe Opens the older. The Raw images are viewable.
Now this is how they look after Adobe Bridge has finished opening and I can click on something:
Where do I go from here?

  • Adobe Bridge CS6 Not Opening

I recently installed the trial version for Photoshop CS6.  Prior to this, I have had Photoshop CS2 installed on my computer.  Before installing CS6, I uninstalled CS2.
Now, Bridge CS6 will not launch when I click on it.  The cursor will show that it's working, but then it will stop and nothing will happen.  I did some research and found that this error occurs whenever Bridge CS2 has been previously installed.  I tried what was suggested (create an empty folder in C:\Users\[user name]\App Data\Roaming\Adobe\), but that did not work for me from this topic:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4522770
Also, my OS is Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit).
    Can anyone please help?

Do you have CS5 installed? If so Bridge is probably running in the background.  Open Task Manager and look in Processes Tab for Bridge.exe and close.

  • Adobe Bridge CS6 crashing before starting 5.0.2.4

    Hi there,
Adobe bridge is crashing for me before even starting.
I'm running as an Administrator on Windows 7x64 and using the latest version of Bridge, 5.0.2.4
It came with Adobe inDesign 8.0.2 which works perfectly, the only problematic app on the workstation is Bridge.
I do have a version of Adobe Photoshop CS2 also installed. I understand this was an issue that was supposedly patched by Adobe a year ago reading up on the forums but this problem still obviously exists.
Even uninstalling all CS2 products and running CCleaner to wipe out all registry references to CS2 does not fix Bridge CS6.
Adobe, please advice on what to do next

  • Adobe Bridge CS6 will not open

Just started trial of Adobe Photoshop CC  ( CS6 and Bridge CS 6)
Photoshop  downloaded ok but Bridge CS6 will not open after installation.
I have used Adobe Bridge with CS2 before but since removing CS2 and installing CS6 and Adobe Bridge 6 64Bit Adobe Bridge will not open.
    Help
    watchet7

CS2 seems to conflict with CS6.  One user found this to work.  AppData is a hidden folder in case you try this.
I finally got it to launch via instructions from another web page. In my case, I am running Win 7 Professional 64-bit and previously loaded Photoshop and Bridge versions CS2 (along with Illustrator and InDesign CS2), which might have been part of the problem. The solution for me was to create an empty "Bridge CS2" folder in the C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\. Worked like a charm.
You might have to use the Adobe Script Cleaner to get rid of traces of the CR2 files.

  • Can't see CR2 files in Adobe Bridge CS6

I have recently purchased Canon 5D Mark iii and have taken a few shots in RAW mode. When I try to open the file in Adobe Bridge CS6, I can't view the file.
I also have a canon T2i and the raw file from that camera show perfectly fine.
What could be the problem? All my CS6 software is up to date.

Updated to ACR 8.4? There is an issue:
The fix is to download a 8.4 again via the link below and follow the instructions to replace the existing 8.4 plugin:

  • In Bridge CS6, my "Tools" tab is now missing the Image Processor option.

    Hello!
Two glaring changes were made in my system all by itself.  One is that in Bridge CS6, under the "Tools" tab, the "Image Processor" option is gone.  All that's left is Batch Rename and Cache options.  Does anyone know why this happened or how to restore this.  Also, whenever I double click an image, it now goes directly to Photoshop as opposed to opening in Camera Raw first like it used to.  All and any help is appeciated.  Thank you!!!
    Eric

Curt, thank you for your response.  I did try that.  I unchecked then
reselected all start up options and still nothing.  Any other
    suggestions?

  • Adobe Bridge CS6 on Mac problem

I cannot get Adobe Bridge CS6 to run on my Mac. Just bought Photoshop CS6 and downloaded from adobe.

Solved it. Somehow the app itself was in my trash even though the Adobe Bridge CS6 folder was in my Applications folder. Added the app to the folder and was good to go.
