Bridge freezes and gives cache error

Recently, I have been having an issue with Bridge CS6. Every time I start Bridge, I get a message that says "Bridge encountered a problem and is unable to read the cache. Please try purging the central cache in Cache Preferences to correct the situation".
After following all these instructions, still no change. I re-installed the entire application and still no results.
I am using OS 10.9.4
Any ideas....

Try this, it worked for me.
Hold option and command key together while opening Bridge. Reset settings window appears. click "Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache". See if this works. (OS 10.7.5)
