Bridge is not to be found and cannot be loaded on my iMac

I have an Imac and loaded the new software from Apple, mountain Lion 10.8. After Iloaded Photoshop CS6  from the Cloud but cameraRAW did not work good.
That is the begin and the end. Now Bridge is gone missing. I reloaded Photoshop several times and even as a new administrator. Nothing.
After been helped by a person from Adobe Helpcenter ( Netherlands) still no Bridge.
Yes, I found a problem on my hard-disk ( is gone and repaired now)
and even an other problem with Adobe Air is gone. ( The insatllation made a link but no sub-directory.) My thanks for pointing me in this direction.
Now I hope somebody can give me a clue where my bridge is gone too or why it is not installed.
Photoshop is there and works but no Bridge and no mini-Bridge ofcourse
Help please

loaded the new software from Apple, mountain Lion 10.8. After I re-loaded Photoshop CS6 because cameraRAW did not work.
If you reloaded CS6 and Camera Raw did not work it might be you have a brand new camera and not the latest updates that support your dSLR.
Don't have Mountain lion myself installed and there have been some problems with this killer animal but not such serious ones as not installing Bridge.
Be sure to have the latest update for OSX 10.8 (use software update under the Apple icon menu to check).
Also Back up your custom settings, action, presets etc. (quickest way is to copy them from your user library: user (your name) / library / Application support / Adobe / Adobe Photoshop CS6 and inhere copy the folder called Presets to a place outside the library)
if you can't find your User library (by default hidden in OSX 10.7 and 10.8 use the menu Go and press option key, this retrieves the library in the drop down menu.
Start PS and under the menu Help choose deactivate (be sure to have a copy of your serial number backed up)
Then quit PS and go to you application folder (should be on root level, not in your user account) and in the Photoshop CS 6 folder find and choose uninstall
Maybe also use the clean tool from Adobe:
see this side and read before carefully before proceeding:
http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
Now start Apple Disk Utility (in the utilities folder - Hulpprogramma's) and choose Apple Disk Utilty (Schijfhulpprogramma) Run a check and repair permissions.
then try again to install Photoshop from the install disk, download file or Cloud subscription.
Could you report back?

This was advertised as a new security feature in the nightly build . Is this true has this security been added to Firefox 5.0 or only certain Firefox builds ?

Yes, that about:permissions page has recently been added to the Nightly builds (7.0a1), but the Aurora builds (6.0a2) have it as well. I don't think that Firefox 5 will get it.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

  • Why do I keep getting an error message that reads "The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded."

Whenever I click on a link that opens a new tab using "about:tab", an error pops up. The error box is titled "Alert" and the message reads "The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded."
However, once I click OK, the page loads just fine. At first, I thought it might be one of my add-ons (Iuse a bunch), but it still occurs after restarting in Safe Mode. Any thoughts?
I can even create the problem without clicking on a link inside a page if I simply type about:tab in the address bar.
    I am using Firefox 12.0

Wow! I actually solved this on my own. I didn't find any thread that helped, but after reading a few, I figured poking around in about.config would help... and it did!
Here is how I solved the problem:
    # Typed '''about:config''' in address bar.
    # When I got to the warning about voiding the warranty, clicked '''I'll be careful, I promise!'''
    # I found the setting entitled '''browser.newtabl.url''' (use the '''Search:''' box).
    # I double-clicked on the entry entitled '''browser.newtabl.url''' and deleted the info in the value portion.
    # Clicked '''OK'''.
    # Closed the tab.
    # Restarted Firefox and problem was solved.

  • The file '/foo.aspx' has not been pre-compiled, and cannot be requested

    Hi All
I am using odp .net to access oracle data. I have also added oracle.dataaccess in my asp .net references. Everything works fine in my development and when I run the code through debugger. However, when I deploy the project in IIS, it gave me following error...
"The file '/foo.aspx' has not been pre-compiled, and cannot be requested
This is pretty generic error and I found out this is related to .Net assemblies.
By further investigation, I found that oracle.dataacess.dll is not present in the bin directory of a deployed web site. I am not sure why .net is dropping that dll in the deployment wizard.
Did anyone encounter this problem before?
I got a workaround for now that manually copting dll into the bin directory of deplyed web site. However, I am looking for more robust and technical answer..
The strange thing is I have been deploying the web site the same way for last 8 months and never encountered this problem.
    thanks a lot..

If you add a reference to Oracle.DataAccess at design time it will be added as an assembly definition to web.config. Then you don't need a copy in your bin dir and it will be found in the GAC.

  • The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded

seems like maybe firefox mishandles untrusted certificates?
It gives error: Alert The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded.
    example:
    https://notes.corp.cat.com/
other browsers can load this URL just fine. When I visit it in Firefox, I get the error in a simple little message box with a yellow triangle exclamation point, titled "Alert".
ALSO.... when I click the "Home" button in firefox, I get the error, and the home page does not load. Currently the home page is set to "Mozilla Firefox Start Page."
changing the home page to: http://www.google.com/ allows the home page button to work normally.
restoring the home page to default brings the error behavior back when clicking the home button.
changing the home page to: https://notes.corp.cat.com/ produces the same error, just like when I manually type in an https URL with a funky security certificate.
This problem only seems to happen on secure URLs with untrusted certificates, i.e. sites that are too cheap to pay to have their certificate registered with one of the certificate vendors or however the hell that works, so as a result every time you visit their web site, your browser starts to whine that it might be a forgery or whatever.
It used to be in Firefox that I could load these pages and just specify that I want to trust the site anyway. Now firefox gives this error that doesn't allow the user to know what is really going on or what the reason for the error is. It is as if the developers decided that users are too stupid to decide if they really want to visit the site or not, so as a result Firefox is just refusing to visit any web sites where the authenticity of the certificate can't be verified? Hey, it's not a bad idea, to be honest. :-) But it's kind of annoying, because here I am, sort of smart enough to know what I'm doing, but I don't have the choice in the matter...
I restarted with all add-ons disabled and that didn't help. I don't have much installled in the way of add-ons anyway. All I have is JAVA quick starter 1.0, and Adobe Acrobat, Java development toolkit, Java platform SE, Microsoft DRM, and Windows Media Player Plug-in Dynamic Link Library. Not even Flash. All the above is disabled now that I rebooted with add-ons disabled, and I still have the issue.
thanks for any help you can provide.

  • This application is not compatible with your device and cannot be loaded

    Hi,
I have been trying to load an application to my BB 9000 since a monday and getting this error "This application is not compatible with your device and cannot be loaded".
As evident, I am new to BlackBerry development and got to port an existing J2ME project on BB 9000.
To load application I am using
    - BB Dektop software 5 (latest)
    - BB Device Software 4.6 is installed (which is the version of BB 9000 as well)
I am able to load sample JDE 4.6 applications but I build my project through same JDE and through eclipse (JDE compoment 4.6.0.19) as well but couldn't load it,
I even signed my app since I am using net.rim.device.api.servicebook api which requries signing.
    Can someone please explain me
    1) why this error occurs in first place
    2) how to setup right envioroment to load an application on a given BB handset (BB 9000 vodafon India to be specific)
    3) How would manage this process on a single machine if I have 4-5 different BB handsets.
I shall be thanful for any logical pointer to solution to these problems.

    Hi,
The main problem with your genrated ALX file. I think in your ALX file contains <fileset Java="1.49" _blackberryVersion="[5.0.0)"> TAG  and remove the  _blackberryVersion attribute. Then it will work.
So your final ALX file contains
    <loader version="1.0">
        <application id="App">

Even thought it is not installed then make sure that your application may not delete from your device. Select the application and click on delete button in Desktop manager.

  • How do I enable Firefox 4 to do a search on more than one word (e.g. "yahoo mail") without receiving the error message "the URL is not valid and cannot be loaded"?

After loading Firefox 4.0, I changed the address bar search engine to Google Search by Name, so I'd be taken straight to the most relevant webpage when I type in a word.
It works fine when I type in one word, but if I use a search with more than one word (e.g. "yahoo mail" or "google maps") I get an alert saying "The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded". Is there any way I can fix the address bar to accept multiple word searches?
I've tried disabling all my add-ons, but it didn't make any difference.

Hi, this should sort out your problem:
    1. Type in "about:config" into the address bar, this will open the settings menu. Click on "I'll be careful, I promise!"
    2. Search for "keyword.URL" in the filter bar.
    3. Enter "http://www.google.com/search?btnI=I%27m+Feeling+Lucky&q=" into the value field.
I'm no expert, but I had the same problem which got on my nerves after being so used to being able to type anything in, and following these steps fixed it.
