Bridge is transferring the camera system files from my SD card!

When I use Bridge to transfer photos from my SD card to my computer (MacBook) it transfers some of the camera system files! How can I get it to trasfer only the jpegs and/or raw?
I am using PSE 8 for mac.

I may have deleted some system files from my computer due to my antivirus and now my imac won't start. Actually it does, and then there is a blank screeen with the apple logo and it shuts down right away. is tehre a possibility of recovering my files?

I was having some problems with my Imac, for a while it was slow and often disconneceted from my wifi, while this one worked perfectly (tested with other devices)
I thoug i might have a virus, so i downloaded an antivirus (mac keeper) and started checking.
I also did a scan of my computer using Console or something from the utilities, and then a folder popped witha file I had canceled a while ago. I canceled the file and then my Imac continued to be slow.
i then restarted my Imac, but when it started, the usual grey logo of Apple appeared, and then it shut down suddently.
I tried to reboot it holding the command key and R but nothing, and then i tried holding the shift key and a bar appeared, and at half of the bar it sut itself down again.
I think it is probably a preoblem because I may have cancelled some of the system files from a folder called "private" in the "documents" folder.
Is there any way I can recover some of my files? maybe all of them? I hope so because I have some important files there
Is this a thing I can do myself or do Ineed to go to a MacStore to repair it? Will I need to change HD or just to format it and reinstall? also if there is any way i can recover some of my files that would be great.

P.S. problems appeared when i installed the Mavericks version.

If MacKeeper corrupted the Recovery partition then even I underestimated its potential for damage. Garbage "cleaning" apps will cause misery but I have not found that the Recovery partition to have been affected by using MacKeeper or anything like it. I doubt that it did so, but I have learned not to underestimate the potential for such things to result in system corruption.
Before concluding your Mac has a hardware failure, try booting OS X Internet Recovery by holding command option r on startup (three fingers). That will force your iMac to bypass the Recovery partition altogether, and convey the ability to create a new one.
An Internet connection will be required (wired or wireless).
At the Mac OS X Utilities screen, select Disk Utility. Select your startup volume (usually named "Macintosh HD") and click the Repair Disk button. Describe any errors it reports in red. If Disk Utility reports "The volume Macintosh HD appears to be OK" in green then you can be reasonably (though not completely) assured your hard disk is in good working order.
Assuming the HD remains usable you can then use Disk Utility to erase it. Reinstall OS X, restore your essential software and other files, and don't reinstall the junk.

Mac OS 10.9.4 cannot open the NEF/RAW files from the new Nikon D810 Camera

If you will take the time to send Apple feedback, they will add RAW support - when I got my Canon, it wasn't supported either. I filed feedback and, two months, later, there was an update which included my camera model.

When you use Migration Assitant it creates another user account and puts your files there. Please log out of your normal account and log into the new account. Had you use Setup Assistant when it asked if you were migrating that would not have occured. You have a couple of options, combine the two accounts (not recommended) or start over, use Setup Assistant and have everything in one user account. Photoshop CC doesn't open my camera raw files from my new Nikon D800 (ACR v 8.3.0.141)

However, it opens camera raw files from my D300 without problems.
Same for Bridge: NEF files are displayed as generic thumbs.
Can anyone help me?

I don't use the Nikon software, but I believe that the latest version of Nikon Transfer works fine. I think it comes with ViewNX2, which is a free download, AFAIK.
I personally download my photos using a card reader and Adobe Bridge (which comes with Photoshop, and contains Adobe Photodownloader). Not sure, but I think it's included with Lightroom & Elements too (but I don't use those either). Using Photodownloader has the added advantage of being able to add metadata at the same time.

If this is MXF from a CANON camera...their new 305 camera...you not only need a plugin to get it to work (they either include it with the camera, or you have to go to the website... the Canon Log and Transfer plugin), it also might only work with FCP 7. I downloaded the new DNG converter, and I am still unable to open the camer raw files. Please help!

You need to use the DNG Converter 8.4 to create DNG files from the CR2 files, then PSE will open those DNG files.

When copying raw files from Extreme IV card to hardrive, finder copies a few files then exits task and wipes the card clean of all images.

Can edit files off the card, in CameraRaw, prior to 'copying' them, ie can 'save as' to the hard drive, so files seem okay on card, before I try to copy them using copy and paste.
Running OS 10.8.3 on a new macbook pro.

The process for determining what is causing the files to be corrupt can be a tedious one depending on the following:
1. Can you review the images on your camera's LCD screen without problems? If not then the problem is most probably either a corrupted/faulty memory card or a faulty camera. If this is the case then your best bet at recovery (of sorts) is to use a program such as BrezzeBrowser from BreezeSys to extract the embedded jpeg versions of the corrupted RAW files from within each RAW file. Chances are, you won't manage to actually repair the corrupted RAW file but the jpegs are better than nothing.
2. If the images review ok on your camera but are corrupted when viewing on your computer and there seems to be no other problem with other files on your computer then it may be either a faulty card reader or usb/firewire cable between the card reader and the computer that is the culprit. Try the card reader with a different cable and also try a different card reader to determine the cause of the corruption.
3. If your symptoms are that you get different files corrupting over time when viewing them on your computer then the problem may be any one of either failing RAM memory, hard disk, hard disk controller or IDE/SATA hard disk cables. This is where the troubleshooting can be pretty tedious testing then eliminating each item from the list of suspicious pieces of hardware. Try the card and card reader on an altogether different computer to see if the files transfer correctly to that computer. If so then the problem lies with your computer hardware. If you haven't already done so at this stage, backup all your important data immediately (hopefully you keep backs anyway).

I can not view my Camera raw file from EOS 650D on my laptop - which uses photoshop CS5 (as part of my creative suite)
I have now purchsed a new mac laptop and photoshop CS6 (part of the creative suite collection) and still can not view my camera raw files. Any help would be much apricated as i have not been able to view my file for 2 weeks now.

That camera model was supported for the first time by ACR 7.1 which only works with Photoshop 13.0.1 ("CS6").
When you first instal CS6, it installs ACR 7.0. You must now update the Adobe Camera Raw plug-in to 7.2, wich is the current version.
Just go to Photoshop > Help > Updates and apply all available updates. That will take you to Photoshop 13.0.1 and ACR 7.2.
