Bridge media adapter

Today while I was using my A505-S6960 the Bridge Media Adapter Light started flashing and making a very irritating beeping noise. I was not using anything related to the card reader at the time. I have done everything I can think of, including unplugging it and removing the battery for 2 hrs., but it continued when I restarted. It flashes about once every second and double-beeps each time. It's driving me so batty that I've had to mute the laptop. What is causing this and how can I stop it? I'm ready to shoot it. Thanks. 10/01/10--UPDATE-- I have now discovered that the card reader will not read my SD camera cards, and upon troubleshooting, I get the message that the "Ricoh PCIe xD-Picture Card Controller" cannot start (code 10); When I try Device Manager, every time the light blinks and the tone sounds, the Device Mgr. screen goes blank, then comes back on; it also flashes. I'm pretty sure the Bridge Media Adapter card reader is defective, but I haven't been able to locate a replacement. Please, someone must have some info on this; help me? Thanks.

When you insert a compatible card, it should appear in Windows Explorer as an additional drive. Try a different card type.
See the section Using the Bridge Media Adapter Slot starting on p. 132 of the User's Guide.

HELP Bridge media adapter slot

I have a Satellite a205-s6808 with a Bridge media adapter slot. I insert the card and I can feel it snap in. but nothing happens?? What and I doing wrong?? Is there a program that runs it??

Kodak what? We need to know if it's a Secure Digital (SD), Compact Flash (CF), Multimedia Card (MMC), xD Picture Card, Memory Stick, ... or what. In the meantime, I'm sticking with my suggestion that it is not compatible with the reader in the notebook. As far as I know, the Toshiba Media Bridge adapters don't work with Compact Flash cards, one of the common types from Kodak.

RFC -File Sync Async bridge RFC Adapter Exception

I am using sync async bridge to send a response back to rfc.
Although there is no error in sxmb_moni as well as the auditlog shows that the response was sent successfully to rfc.. still the RFC adapter gives the following error with no response sent to RFC..
Error in processing caused by: com.sap.aii.af.rfc.RfcAdapterException: failed to identify XML document:java.lang.Exception: javax.xml.parsers.FactoryConfigurationError: Provider com.sap.engine.lib.jaxp.SAXParserFactoryImpl not found
please help

Solved the problem..
The problem could be due to the following..
1. the response structure was just a single character..while i was sending a whole string..
2. I restarted the server...probably the problem

system property must have set mismatch for the SAXFactoryImpl.... by deploying modules before in which i was using SAX parser.. may be the i set the system property earlier to other provider dont remember...

Messaging Bridge/Resource adapter problem on Solaris?

          Has anyone successfully used the supplied resource adapter and messaging bridge
          on Solaris? We seem to have problems getting the resource adapter to be bound
          properly. After creating a connector through the admin console (using any of the
          weblogic supplied jms-*-adp.rar files) the element shows up in the JNDI tree but
          has no object information associated with it - which I assume means it is not

I finally got my Messaging Bridge (Tibco to a WLS Cluster) to work. See my post 3 messages before yours - to which no-one responded... :-(
          So here goes with my suggestion based on what I have done.
          1. Create a Distributed Destination for the WLS queue and "auto deploy" it your cluster. (Read the manual on how to do that, it is quite straightforward).
          2. In the Local Bridge Destination, put :
          Connection URL - nothing
          Initial Context Factory - weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory
          Connection Factory JNDI Name - <your JMS conection factory name>
          Destination JNDI Name - <the JNDI name given to the Distributed Destination>.
          I hope that works.

External Style Bay Adapter for T5200

I am now using a 2nd HDD in the internal Style Bay of my Satellite T5200-802, which I do not want to remove anymore.
I am looking for an external Style Bay Adapter (via USB/ Firewire) for the above to use my Toshiba Style Bay Bridge Media Adapter.
Can someone let me have the correct Toshiba Part No., the dealer (mailorder) - where I had bought the notebook - say they can only order once I have the correct Toshiba Part No., as they are only specialized on complete Notebooks etc.

Hi,
As far as I know there is no external adapter. My opinion is that you can use your second HDD as external device. I use external 60GB HDD integrated in USB 2.0 Slim Size Hi-Speed 2.5" Hard Drive aluminum Case.
It is easy to use and to connect if I need it.

L305d-s5904 media card reader

so i bought the machine from newegg on their site it says there is a;

so i go and try using my xd card and foolish me, it was too small and i still stuck in there because it says xd picture card. well its too small and it falls through the gap in the case to the mb and i have to pay 150 for a tech shop just open the case and take it out.
now i try putting in a memory stick pro in there and its the samething. it doesn't pick up the card and it sort of just hangs there. flip the machine up and it falls out because its not catching anything.
so, was this machine suppose to come with some sort of adapter? when i look inside the slot, it seems kind of deep before i can see the conectors that would match those of a memory card.

Where to find the "Config tool"

because my collegue, responsible for the maintenance of the portal is out of office, I do need to check if the Debugging switch is still set to "on".
Can you tell me where I can find this Tool, and how to start?

On your machine there is 1 x 6-in1 Bridge Media Adapter (supports SD Card, SmartMedia, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, MultiMedia Card, xD-Picture Card).
I think you must install Driver for this Adapter. Usually you can find all Drivers on your Tools und Utilities CD. If not you can find all supported Drivers on following link:

Okay so my processor's heat is now 85 Celcius and im running only 1 program. (a java program) My power option is now High performance.
When i start my computer its just a normal 45C but when i just run some applications its going to heat up pretty fast!
Somebody knows what to do abuot this? cuze i think im not far away from a fire:P
And my laptop is standing on a table so there is good airflow.
And i think my fan is on his maximum RPM. (cuze of the noise)

Try to use it with reduced performance.
Is the same situation there?
It is not easy to say what is wrong there but if you think something is wrong there please contact nearest service provider and let them check your notebook.
They can test it in idle state and running under pressure.
Here on the forum we can just discuss and speculate why this happen but it will not help you at all.
Contact service and show them how it works. I am pretty sure they will have final answer for you.

Picture card inserted upside down.Help Please.

An XD picture card was inserted upside down into bridge media adapter slot.It is entirely into the slot. Can anyone tell me how to safely remove it? Thanks in advance for any help?

Try renaming, or moving the pictures back.
Another thing to try, is connect the phone via the USB port on your computer. Set the phone to allow it to be used as a USB storage device. See if you can access the phone on your computer as if it is an external storage device. You should be able to explore the memory of the phone with your computer.
For access to a BB phone the drivers have to be first installed for the computer to be able to work with the phone. You can install the desktop manager software. Also if I remember properly, I believe the Desktop manager software can manage the media contents of the BB phone.

Problem with audio of Satellite P105-S6114

Hi!
I got a trouble with the Sound Card on my Satellite P105-S6114. I recently installed Windows XP SP1. Sound Card is not found by the system. In the device manager window I can see 2 unknown PCI devices, but the driver of sound card does not suit to any of them. I tried to install driver of Conexant sound card whichI downloaded from support web page, but installation failed with the message "Device is not found".
If someone can advise me what to do I would much appreciate it!

I doubt that satisfying Device Manager's hunger for those drivers would help with the sound. It's my guess that you need to start over and install the drivers in the proper order. In particular, first the chipset driver and second the display driver (see them below).
The first item you mention appears to be the 5-in-1 Bridge Media Adapter.
   Texas Instruments PCIxx21 FlashMedia Driver for Windows XP/2000
The second one might be satisfied with one (or both) of these.
   Intel Chipset Driver for Windows XP
   Intel Display Driver for Windows XP

Sd card in m45 s355 laptop freezes up computer

I finally figured out where the bridge media adapter was on the laptop. When I first inserted the card it showed up as drive E which I expected. However, when I did drag and drop of a movie on to the card it froze up after a few seconds of copying. Had to turn off computer manually. On reboot, it wouldn't reboot with the card in the slot. I removed it and did a reboot which worked. However, when I reinserted card computer froze up again and I can't even see the drive E show up on my computer. Have to manually turn off.
Any help here? Did I mess the card up by removing it when computer was off? Or any ideas?

Networking issues with bridged connection

So in my network I have a netgear C6300 with a Motorola surfboard(modem/router also with dhcp turned off) connected via Ethernet to provide a separate wifi network on the other side of the house. I've been having frequent connection drops that last for about
10 seconds. I figured out my wireless adapter(netgear a6210) is bridged to the Motorola(see screenshot) and I'm wondering how to disable this bridge because I think it might be causing the connection issues. But when I try to remove the bridge is says gives
an error. If I disable the Network bridge my adapter stops working. Any ideas?
Note: before it was saying Motorola... under the enabled, bridged.

This: I also noticed it switched from Motorola like the picture below to NETGEAR58-5G(like above)

If yo uare currently running Windows 10 build 10049, then you should take a look at the thread below:
No access to Internet Protocol (v4 or v6) in 10049
Which might cause some of the adapter function not working at the current build.

Smart media card reader

I cannot get my new imac to recognize my Olympus smart media card reader nor read the card
what could be the problem
I can read other cards in my other card reader, compact flash, SD etc

In System report under usb I show
USB Media Adapter........ highlight it and I get
0x07b4 (Olympus Optical Co., Ltd)
so it would seem the computer knows there is a reader out there but not seeing the card in the reader
I have reformated the card in the camera also

AEBS as Ethernet Bridge

This is what I want to do:
I have a Draytek 2600VGi ADSL router with the wireless enabled and a block of 16 static ip's.
I have a non-wireless but ethernet equipped machine (Sun E450) which I want to connect to the Draytek wirelessly with a static IP.
Can I set up the AEBS to act as a transparent bridge or adapter to the ethernet port of the E450 and make is 'pass' it's static IP to the AEBS which will appear to have that IP, and for the AEBS to join the wireless LAN created on the Draytek?

Not in coordination with the Draytek.
The only way to do this is if you are using Apple's WDS between AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) and AirPort Express devices. See KB 107454, AirPort Extreme and Express: Using WDS to create a network from multiple base stations.
