Bridge slideshow spread across 2 monitors

Recently Adobe Bridge (CS2, version 1.0.4.6, running on Windows XP) has been giving me problems when running the slide show (via cntl-l or view->slide show). I normally run with two monitors and recently Bridge has been spreading the slide show across both monitors - even if I remove the 2nd monitor with the Windows properties dialog. If I maximize the Bridge window it fully occupies one monitor only as expected; it's just the slide show that spans both monitors. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Bridge with no luck.
Does Bridge, or Photoshop CS2 keep it's own display properties in a file somewhere or registry entry? Should I uninstall and reinstall all of CS2? Are there any other suggestions?
Thanks.
/Mark

I'm not sure I follow which window you're referring to. The main Bridge window fits completely in one monitor or the other. "Maximize" and "Restore" mode behave just like any other app, on either monitor. (Sanity check: you're referring to right clicking on the title bar and selecting either Maximize or Restore, right?)
I can arbitrarily change the size of the Bridge frame and the slide show stays the same - across both monitors. It looks even more unusual given that the monitors are not the same size so the two halves of the image don't even line up.
The slide show has no frame edge that I can find so "Restore" mode doesn't seem to be an option. Is there a handle for the slide show frame hidden somewhere that would let me resize it? Nothing seems to jump out when the cursor is at the edges, and right clicking only advances to the next image.
Something else occurred to me today that might be related. Until recently I had the wallpaper on the two monitors set to two different images. This is done by manipulating Desktop items as described here: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows/dual-monitors-use-a-different-wallpaper-on-each-de sktop/
In about the same time frame that Bridge started acting up, my 2nd wallpaper image stopped appearing as it should. The frame it was in seemed to move or shrink unexpectedly. Today I removed the 2nd image/desktop item entirely so that both monitors have the same wall paper (the default case), but that didn't help Bridge.

  • Reader spreading across 2 monitors

    Hi
Recently when I open a document in Reader 10.1.9 it sometimes spreads across 2 monitors & sometimes goes off the edge of the screen, with large amounts of grey each side of the document. Sometimes documents open just fine. Mostly I have trouble when I open doc from, for instance Thunderbird attachment or by double clicking on file in Explorer.  It is driving me mad, to the point that I no longer have Adobe Reader as my default pdf viewer
    Thanks

oops, I just tried using setSize first then setPreferredSize and it worked. sorry for the wasted thread.

  • Play dvd or quicktime video spread over multiple monitors

Okay, I have a Mac Pro with a 512mb ati radeon with 2x 20" monitors hooked up to it via DVI. What I want to do is watch a DVD or quicktime video spread over both monitors. Not just full screen on one of them, but spread all the way over both so that the center of the video appears in cross of the two monitors. anyone know of anyway or software to do this?

I am not sure about software options...it might work with a hardware device like this, depending on your graphics card capability:

    from:

Now, if you strech the video across both monitors, how can you multi-task and get any work done???

  • Bridge auto expands from one monitor to two when accessing folders

When I try to rename a folder Bridge auto expands from one monitor to two monitors and doesn't let me change the name. If I try to delete a photo it auto expands, lets me delete the photo but remains expanded across two monitors. This is a new experience I have had Bridge CC for about a year and this activity started on Friday. How do I prevent Bridge from automatically expanding across the two monitors?

A lot more information about your hardware and software is needed.

  • Can Apple TV play wmv, ppt or view Photoshop Bridge slideshows?

I am considering purchasing Apple TV.  I am hoping that I can replace the HDMI cable from my MacBook Pro to my HD TV with the Apple TV setup.  Now I view wmv and ppt files playing on my MacBook on my HD TV and Adobe Bridge slideshows.  That is in addition to NetFlix and movies.
My  motivation to purchase Apple TV is to view MLB.com games on my HD TV which I can not reliably do when I choose the fill screen option in the MLB media player.  If I do so do I would like to not have to use my present HDMI cable any longer.

No, it plays none of those formats.

  • Material for a single project spread across different locations

    Dear Friends
my client is executinig trun key projects. One single project may be spread across different geographical locations. Say Project name is "PRJ001".
PRJ001 will be executed in Bombay, Hyderabad, Chennai.
There are 2 scenarios for procuring materail:
    1. Since my these places are quite far away, I might procure material from a venodr near to these locations.
    2. I might give PO to one single vendor to dispatch material to these different locations for project execution.
In the both the cases, how to handle material?
What will be best option? Should I create a storage location (my client stores material @ site as these projects run for years)?
I'm procurial material as Project Stock (Q).
Say Bomaby location needs 500 no. of material, Hyderabad location needs 700 no. of material, Chennai location needs 300 no. of material.
Now how do I ensure that the right material with right quantity is reaching respective project site?
In some cases, project runs in remote location. Where there won't be any connectivity/ access to system. In such cases, if the site engineer enters GR/ IR & activity confirmation in excel sheet & later on sends an e-mail with this excel sheet to the office. How can we upload it to the system so that it updates the required fields in the system?
    Please give your suggestions.
    I appreciate your support/suggestion .
    Thanks

    Hi Amaresh,
I think your Option no. 01 holds good for your requirement. You can define the corresponding Project sites in Chennai, Mumbai and other places as Storage locations. Better define Seperate storage locations for different site locations.
I think having a delivery schedule with the specific requirement quantities and the storage location should resolve your issue of handling different quantities for the same material. This you can discuss & sort it out with your MM consultant.
    Hope this gives some idea.

  • Spanning one image across two monitors?

If this has been asked before, I applogize. It is probably a simple solution, but, not sure if it is possible.
I am using an Imac 17" Display, 160 Gig HDD, 1 Gig RAM and an external 19" monitor (as an extended desktop)
I have downloaded some of the split screen backgrounds, and, they look fantastic, but, they can be hard to find.
I am wondering, if I get a widescreen background (Single. Not Dual Monitor), can it be set to Span the image across both monitors?
My resoloution for my 17" Imca is 1400 X 940 (Or, whatever the native resolution is for it)
My external monitor is set to 1280 by 1024
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Gary

I had the same problem.  U need to install ITAP RPD, it supports spanning very well.  U can test with their trial version.
I have a new IMac 27" with 27" Thunderbolt second display.  Working on remote desktop with 5120 x 1440 pixels is awesome, and ITap supports it very well
    Cheers

  • Kiosk help - max size across 2 monitors?

I'm working on a touch screen kiosk where I have about a 20"
touch screen monitor and a large LCD (don't know the size) monitor
as a second monitor. If I use:
    getURL("FSCommand:fullscreen","true");
    getURL("FSCommand:showmenu","false");
the Flash animation does not stretch across both monitors,
but only makes the wide (1600 pixels) Flash animation squash to fit
in the main monitor only. The only way I can display it is to not
use this code and manually stretch the animation to fit. Even still
I can still see the top and bottom borders of the Flash player. Is
there a way of getting it to scale automatically across 2 monitors?
Both are set to 800x600 resolution.
Forgot to mention that this will be playing on a Windows
computer via .exe file if that helps.

There is hardware that you can attach to both monitors that
will enable you to stretch the content from one to the other. Once
hooked up make the movie wider. It should stretch to the other
screen. BTW: I'm not sure if this will work.

  • Horizontal line across the monitor. It happened yesterday.

I have a HP ENVY 23-c1 10xt AiO (Lavaca3-SB)PCUS and there is a horizontal line across the monitor.  It happened yesterday.

    Hello again javajohn23,
I would like you to try the following steps:
Step 1. Turn off the computer, and then remove the power cord
Step 2. With the power cord disconnected, press and hold the power button for five seconds
Step 3. Reconnect the power cord, and then turn on the computer
If the above steps do not resolve it try the next set up steps:
    Step 1. Restart your computer
Step 2. Repeatedly press the F10 key about once every second for five seconds after turning the computer on
    Step 3. Wait five seconds
Step 4. Press the F5 key. This restores the default settings of the BIOS
Step 5. Press the Enter key. This accepts the changes
Step 6. Press the F10 key. This opens the Save and Exit window
Step 7. Press the Enter key. This saves the changes, exits the BIOS, and then the computer restarts
    Step 8. Restart the computer.
Another thing I can think to try is review the HP Support document: Changing Display Settings, Background Image, Icons, and Screen Saver (Windows 7) to see if you can identify anything out of place.
We can also try to reload the Intel Graphics Driver for your computer as it will wipe out the settings when the new driver  is reinstalled.
Please re-post with the results of these steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • WebLogic domain spread across two machines

    Hi All,
I have a weblogic domain that spreads across two machines. First machine hosts the Admin server, (BAM , SOA) managed servers and the second machine hosts the (APPs and FIN) managed servers. As you can see the managed servers hosts different applications and not related with clustering. I want to know in such a setup do we need to have separate weblogic installation on both first and second machines or just have WebLogic installation on the first machine and have the second machine reference the first's WL installation.
    What's the best practice.
    Regards

I mean for a domain spread over two machines, I need to have weblogic installation on both machines and not just the one running admin server. I read somewhere WebLogic installations have 1 to N relation with domains. Seems like for a domain spread across two machines, two WL installations and two licences. Am I right?

  • Bridge cc expand to dual monitor mode when copying or deleting photos?

why does bridge cc expand to dual monitor mode when copying or deleting photos?

You say your running 10.5.6?  Why haven't you updated to 10.5.8?
FWIW, I never had color issues under 10.5.X, however I have since upgrade to 10.6.

  • Transfer Bridge slideshow to a DVD

How do you transfer your Bridge slideshow to a DVD

    In a nutshell, you can't. It's a long-standing request.
Meanwhile, there is Fotomagico <http://boinx.com/fotomagico/>, not cheap, but more bells and whistles than you can shake a stick at. And yes, you can set a slideshow to music and put that on a CD or another computer (without the source images) and it works great.
I just found Apimac on the web, no clue about the quality or if this can do what you want.
    Good luck,

  • How to convert MIDI to mono OR limit the spread across the speakers

I recorded a MIDI Piano piece for a song I'm working on and it is spread across both speakers, the lows in the left and the higher frequencies in the right, the middles in the middle. This is quite annoying for mixing, is there anyway I can limit this to a mono track or control how much it spreads across the speakers (ideally only where I want it to)?

    Hi Glenn,
you are mixing apples with oranges!
The audio instrument track is MIDI not audio!
    cheers
    rob
    Hi, Rob,
Yes, I realized that, but I still can't account for the little track meter registering something when I moved the Audio Instrument track over.
Then go save up for Logic-Pro!
    Christian,
Are you saying that Pro lets you collapse stereo instrument tracks into mono instrument tracks?
    Cheers,
    Glenn
PS, think I've got it. Christian has the right idea. Go to 'Insert' choose Logic 'Helper,' choose 'Gain' and you will then be allowed to select 'mono.' I'm just playing around with a piano. In stereo, the bass is toward the left, the treble toward the right. Selecting 'mono' disables the stereo field of the instrument.
    Hope that helps,
    Cheers,
    Glenn

  • Can segment spread across tablespace?

    can segment spread across tablespace?
I guess not cuz segement derive from extent, right?
    please elaborate?
    thanks

A segment is created in a tablespace and can only remain (i.e. allocate extents) within the same tablespace. It cannot span to another tablespace. The extents allocated may be on different datafiles in the same tablespace.
A table with multiple partitions may have each partition in a different tablespace because each partition is a seperate segment. Partitioned indexes also can be managed likewise.
A LOBSEGMENT for a LOB column of a table can be created in a tablespace different from the table itself.

Not with flash itself, only with 3rd party tools like
