Bridge "supports" missing ;-)

The following file types should be a bridge natural fit, but strangely missing;
Fonts... Hello, Adobe had it's root in fonts. (hint render thumbnail in sample text Selected BY USER in preferences.
Photoshop Styles, Gradients, Custom Shapes, etc. Adobe should at least be able to browse it's own file types.
Smart Objects, If they are smart, I would like to be able to browse for them. I might want to use them as intended. Instead I am forced to track them when I create them in a text file, a dumb thing for such smart objects!
Sorting Options, Other than the reality that if would be simple and novel to allow sort priorities, it should be incredibly easy to allow selected (as in user) directories to have or remember custom sort options.
Sorting.. for a Graphic's work, I would often like to sort by dominant color, similar to what Adobe Stock Photo does, I'd be happy with just basic colors but since Adobe makes "Professional Standards" I'm sure many other options would be afforded.
Spacing BETWEEN the thumbnails PLEASE is so little to ask, yet would make mouse and or tablet selection so much easier.
Minimize after opening a selected thumbnail with it's preferred application. Unless Adobe can learn to write much more efficient code, not everyone has 4GB of RAM. (if I had sub wish it would be for all computers at Adobe to be reduced to 1GB of RAM and a single hard drive, as in reality for the majority of users)
Interface Space for Sale.. Why can't labels and other things like lock, etc. have a little icon space in the two great blank expanse areas of the Bridge interface. I use the mouse almost exclusively, making me reach for my keyboard or pull down a menu and sub command when a HUGH blank area is starring right at me is, well, just DUMB.
And Last since Adobe is a graphic's oriented driven company, and a picture is worth a thousand words, etc. A forum that would allow embedded images within a post would be just really so high tech.....
Is the only creativity at Adobe geared towards integrating features so as so lock customers into a "Suite" that in all reality is a collection of purchased and acquired applications that may not fit all (I will never use Flash, I don't need it, I don't want it) and as of CS3 have user interface similarities and program consistency that bring anything but the word Suite to mind. At 18 month release intervals I'll be dead by the time you trickle out "smeatures (smidgen of a feature)" and it will cost me thousands in upgrades.

I don't think that's the issue. From what I've seen, there is no longer an icon for Bridge Browser but I noticed Bridge Browser now appears to be automatic. Turn off WiFi and tethering on your Playbook and try loading a page. It should think for a second and then load running from your BlackBerry connection through the Bridge, but it won't tell you it's doing it. I tried it this morning because I was thinking the same, that I had lost Bridge Browser but sure enough it worked.

  • Where is Bridge support in Dreamweaver 2014?

Dreamweaver 2014 does not have Browse Bridge in File menu and you can't drag files from Bridge into Dreamweaver without being told the file is not in the root folder even though it is. Has Adobe removed Bridge support from Dreamweaver 2014? That is a core part of Adobe program interaction!.

Dreamweaver 2014 does not have Browse Bridge in File menu
Correct. In previous versions of Dreamweaver, this menu item only appeared when the complete Suite was installed; not in the standalone version.

You can drag files from Bridge into Dreamweaver Design View. You will not be told that the file is not in the root folder when you choose a file that is in the root folder. If the file is not in the root folder, it will be placed there if the answer to the alert message was in the affirmative.

  • Does Bridge support Nikon P7000 raw files in CS5?

I have Photoshop CS5 with the latest ACR installed. ACR opens the Nikon P7000 NWR raw files just fine, but Bridge doesn;'t seem to recognize them. I have the latest version of Bridge installed as well. I did an update in Bridge and it said it was the latest version, so I believe it. Does the latest Bridge support Nikon P7000 raw files?

If you tried to browse the P7000 files before updating Camera Raw you may need to purge the cache for that folder. In Bridge select Tool, Cache, Purge Cache for "xxxx" folder. (xxxx being the folder you are trying to browse).

Does Java Access Bridge support Java 6?
Also where can I find 2.0.4 (Beta), the following link does not work -

    thanks,
    sachin.

Our company develops an applet that supports Jaws via the Java Access Bridge v.2.01. We've had no problems with JRE 1.6. However, Jaws does not read the accessible names when I tried JRE 1.7. It behaves as if the access bridge is broken. I reverted back to JRE 1.6.0_20 and it works fine again. I reported this to Freedom Scientific but they just said, "you will need to contact the Sun support team to determine the latest version of the JRE recognized by the Accessibility Bridge." They don't seem too concerned that their product may not work for many people in the near future.

    The Cisco 1300's and 1400's support point-to-point and point-to-multipoint. The 1230G can only support point-to-point (i think)

  • Now that bridge support has been pulled, where are the updated docs for valid MXI tokens?

Since CS6 Bridge support has been inexplicably pulled from Extension Manager. So I need to find a way to install Bridge scripts. I'm after current documentation on the MXI format. Can someone point me to it? Thanks!
    ...Mike

You can find all the tokens and their corresponding directory on Windows and Mac from http://help.adobe.com/en_US/extensionmanager/cs/using/MXI_tech_note.pdf. Also the FAQ link in the Extension Manager user forum page (http://forums.adobe.com/community/creativesuites/extensionmanager/faq) describes how to install extensions for Bridge CS6 manually.
Another way is to copy configuration sub-directory from Bridge CS5/5.5 to Bridge CS6, and modify all the version-related values in XManConfig.xml accordingly. Then launch Extension Manager CS6. Bridge CS6 will be listed in Extension Manager CS6. You can install extensions for Bridge as usual. But we don't give you any guarantee for it.

Intel H67 chipset supports Ivy Bridge but requires a BIOS update.
Does HP plan to release a bios update?
Is there anything we can do to get them to offer an update?
I really wish HP would support it.

Has anyone tried installing a processor to see what happens?

    Hi,
Some third parties have released bios updates to support the Ivy Bridge product. A lot of regession testing needs to be done on the older motherboards.  I would suspect that HP will release new models of the TouchSmart with Ivy Bridge support.

  • Adobe Bridge is missing

    Hi there,
For some reason my Adobe Bridge CS6 has gone missing, I have searched the drive and checked the trash but it is nowhere to be found.
I am using Creative Cloud on OSX, I have tried removing Ps and Ai and re-installing through the Application Manager but this would still not install the Bridge. I also tried downloading the trial of Ai but that would still not install it.
I have downloaded the updater for Adobe Bridge but this oviously fails as the application is not available, does anyone know how I can get Adobe Bridge back.
    Many thanks
    Dave

In my case this was caused by me keeping my application folder clean and moving into a sub folder called 'Adobe'. What I never knew was that a mac will replace a folder when you paste over the top whereas windows always merges the folder (you learn something new everyday).
To solve I simply copied the folder from a working mac and pasted back to mac with bridge missing. If you are on windows then I am not sure if it will work the same, but this is certainly working for me now.
Hope this helps. And I would be useful if there was a seperate download for it, it is only a file browser so it shouldn't matter if they have to give it away free anyway

  • Output in Bridge CC missing. Attempt to install fix from Bridge Help. WinZip failed. Now what?

The Output function in Bridge CC is missing. I attempted to install the fix that was available via Bridge help. The WinZip download worked fine. I found the recommended file location. The fix did not install. What else can I use? When will an update be available? Thanks.

In CC, I am forced to leave Bridge, go into the application, and Open the file through the system dialog box.
That is not normal behavior (at least on my Mac I still have all installed applications as option under this menu). By default the open with menu under the righty mouse menu should show all installed applications on your system. It sometimes even shows them double in case of attached disks with back up etc.
This has not changed in Bridge CC. If you have those applications installed on your system at the same location as Bridge they should show.
First try a reset of preferences for Bridge with holding down control key while restarting Bridge and choose rest preferences from the provided menu.

  • Can one Root Bridge support multiple non-root bridges?

    Hey gang,
I have a pretty simple question here I think
I have a wireless bridge currently setup to support a separate office building on our property about 200 yards away from the main building.  The wireless bridge has been working great and was a much cheaper solution when compared to the cost of making a fiber drop to this building.  The needs of our business have changed (go figure), to include a warehouse building also on the backside of the property.  It's not feasible to run a cable between these two building either.  So I need to create another wireless bridge to this back warehouse as well.  My question is can I just use another non-root bridge to link to the root bridge already in place, or does each wireless bridge require one root bridge and one non-root bridge?
I have good LoS to both buildings from where the current root bridge is, so if two non-root bridges can talk to one root bridge I should be able to just an additional non-root bridge and be good to go.  But if wireless bridges are meant to be a one to one setup, then I'll need to setup an additional root bridge to link to the new non-root bridge?
It seems like you should be able to have one root bridge link to multiple non-root bridges but I haven't been able to find any clear examples of this being done.
Thanks in advance for the help!

    That was just too easy.
I copied the configuration from the working non-root bridge to my laptop.  I changed out the ip address of the BVI interface.  I uploaded the configuration to the new 1300 bridge.  I plugged it in and pointed the yagi antenna in the general direction of the original root bridge and started pinging the new 1300.  Success!
I'll use my spare 1300 to get service up and running in the warehouse by the end of the week and I'll just need to order one more 1300 to make sure I have spare on hand if needed.
    Thanks again!

  • Subfolders created in Bridge are missing in the OSX finder

To organize large folders of photos via Adobe Bridge, I created subfolders. In the OS X finder, these subfolders do not show up. I am, of course, worried about files going missing because I cannot burn a cd for backup because OS X doesn't see any of the subfolders. Besides the obvious (create all folders in the finder, not Bridge) is there anything I am doing wrong or is their a known issue?
    thanx

To organize large folders of photos via Adobe Bridge, I created subfolders. In
the OS X finder, these subfolders do not show up.
Not aware of such a problem, using CS5 and OSX 10.6.5. Just created a series
of nested subfolders via Bridge up to 9 levels using random the icon in the
path bar, the menu command under File and the shortcut (shift-cmd-N) and
they all show in the finder up to the last level I created.

  • Bridge support for MXF video files?

I use the Canon XF305 and have been using Bridge with other cameras (like the 7D) to log metadata and preview files before importing into Pr 5.5. However, I find that I can't view the MXF format files in the Mac version (I've not tried the Windows version). Is MXF not supported by Bridge? If not, it should be.
The ability to use Bridge to add metadata to MXF files would be a real boon. I typically shoot three camera shoots and need to go back and log the data.

There is a utility for logging metadata from Canon that comes with the camera, so I'm going to see if there is any transfer of their metadata to what Bridge uses.
In doing more reading, and watching more Adobe videos, it appears that Adobe wants video producers to use On Location, both before, during and after shooting to log metadata. It's a bit confusing why some of the trainers are recommending Bridge, which doesn't support all the various codecs, while others are recommending OL.  But it appears that OL will do what I am after.
It would be good to see an Adobe document that highlights the pros and cons of using both and where they fit in the Adobe landscape.
I'm off for a morning of video and testing of OL.
More info from Adobe staff from Bridge would be useful (both for me and future newbies).
