Bridge Update 5.0.2.4. What's in it?
I just installed this update but find no info on it.
It seems that most of the options for Web and Slideshow construction have been removed from the Output Panel in the latest Bridge CS6 5.0.2 Update.
There was nothing in the release notes to warn us that this had been done.
Perhaps Adobe might have the decency to post a Back-dater so that we can regress back to 5.0.1 without having to do a re-installation from the DVD.
I imagine that Cloud Subscribers are totally out of luck in this regard?

I downloaded the upgrade manually.
I double clicked on the dmg file after it downloaded and it failed. The error.log showed this message. I did some searches and did not get any hits.

I looked at the log in the log/installer file. It seems to think that some payload is already there. But when I open Adobe Bridge, is still says that it is at version 5.0.0.399 and not 5.0.1. So how do I get to 5.0.1 now? Thanks Rod

Bridge update freezes at 12% and fails to complete the update process why?
The new update release for Bridge fail to complete it stops at 12% and will not finish. Does anyone know why the update will not install?
What specific update are you installing? Do you receive any specific error messsages? If not then you can check your install log for the source of your difficulties. i have got my brothers ipod on my itunes account, he is wanting to down load apps but its not letting him as it is saying he needs to hav IOS 5 or above. so i have followed steps settings, general, update. but when i get to the update bit there isnt an option to update, now i dont know what to do
You can not update directly from your iPod Touch until iOS 5 or later.
What generation iPod Touch do you have?
Here are the most current iOS for each generation of iPod Touch:

I can not connect to the ITunes store. I have updated my apple ID and made sure that everything is set correctly. However, I can not purchase or update any apps no matter what I do. My partner has the same phone and hers works perfectly. I'm not sure how to sort this out. Please help

AndyI've been having this problem for weeks and have found no solution to it. There are lots of other people with this issue too if you look back on the boards. I even e-mailed AND called Apple and have had no luck. I tried all the suggestions they gave me and all the ones I found on here- nothing worked. I even uninstalled and re-installed iTunes (boy was that a pain!) and no difference.
The weird part is that I have an old laptop that works and if I buy music with the laptop I can download it with my regular computer buy buying does not work on my regular computer. That tells me it's not a connection issue. I can't get to my account either.
I can't figure out why an issue that has kept so many people from purchasing a product has been ignored! -

iOS 4.2.1 is the latest version available for the iPhone 3G, if apps require iOS higher than that then unfortunately you will not be able to install it.

My operating system is Mac OS X 10.6.8 and when I'm surfing the web, it tells me I need to update my browser however when I check for updates, nothing comes up. What do I need to do to get Mac OS X Lion v10.7?
Software update will only bring you up to the current level of the system you are using - you are at the maximum for Snow Leopard. To get Lion or higher you will have to go to the Mac App Store in Applications and purchase it there (Yosemite is free). You will need to check that your Mac meets the requirements and you should particularly note that PPC programs such as AppleWorks will not run in Lion or above.
The requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory
OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available space
Lion is available in the Online Apple Store ($19.99). Mountain Lion (10.8.x) is also available there at the same price (though it's reported to have been removed from sale in some countries so may well cease to be available generally) but there seems little point as the system requirements are the same for Yosemite (10.10.x) - which is free - unless you need to run specific software which will run on Mountain Lion only.
The requirements for Mountain Lion and Yosemite are:

You're saying you don't back up your phone regularly? You should ALWAYS back up before updating your phone. That said, try resetting first: hold down the home button and the power button for at least 10-20 seconds until you see the Apple. Hopefully you can then try to perform the update again. Start doing backups if your data is important to you.

If it now says "invalid" or "unsupported" SIM, your iPhone was almost certainly hacked to unlock it from the original cell carrier and updating has now removed that hack and the iPhone has relocked back to that original carrier. You will have to contact that carrier and ask if it would be possible to get your iPhone officially unlocked.

IMac freezes while Time Machine updates the back up. What to do?
Ever since I upgraded to Lion my iMac freezes or nearly freezes for 5 - 10 minutes every hour while Time Machine updates the back up. What to do?
I have tried everything I can think of but its only improved from total freeze while Time Machine backs up to freeze with an occasional few seconds of activity.
I am really fed up with this.When I first updated to Lion everything was a mess with freezes happenng constantly like every two or three minutes. Then when looking at the app store I noticed in purchased items that Lion was showing install instead of installed so I downloaded and installed again.
After this install every time Time Machine updated a backup my iMac froze for about 5 or 10 minutes while the backing up was in progress. I was getting really fed up and started this thread. Then one morning I got up and the iMac would not start up. It just sat there with the progress thingy spinning. I started in T mode to look at it from my MacBookPro and two copies of the HD appeared. Both showing zero files. I ran Disk utility on the MacBookPro to try to fix the disk. It showed 8 copies of the disk and all not reparable.
I then created a startup USB drive using my MacBookPro, used it to start up the iMac and restored everything from the previous day's backup. Since then it has been running smoothly with no freezes so maybe the answer is simply to restore a recent backup.
I am using Imation external drives and I don't believe the problem is drive specific. -

My local isp has 'upgraded' their service to utilize google gmail as a base. Unfortunately this means mail 2.1.3 on 10.4.11 does not now work, and they advise Apple mail 3 is now required. any way to work around this, any upgrade coming from apple?
