Bridge web gallery issues

Hi there,
This might seem like a silly question...But I have been trying to make a web gallery in bridge to put on my Dreamweaver cs6 website. Everything is working and bridge is even saying the gallery has uploaded. But when I go back to Dreamweaver the folder is know where to be found not even anywhere on my laptop.

Details are needed.

  • How do I get my bridge web gallery to actually work in my photoshop website

    Hi
    Can anyone explain to me in simple english (please - as I'm just a learner) how I get my web gallery (created in bridge) to work with my photoshop website.
    This is what I have done so far:-
    (1) I've created my root folder called 'test'. It has 3 subfolders called:-
    - 'page1' (which is my homepage created as said below)
    - 'page2-gallery' (where I want my bridge web gallery to be)
    - 'page3-other' (for another page link - not important here).
    (2) I have also created a simple website in photoshop (my homepage said above), using the slice tool and have saved it by saveforweb. So I now have my html website file and which works when tested online. One of the slice segments is for my 'gallery' icon on the homepage which, when clicked, should go directly to my bridge web gallery created.
    (3) I have also created a web gallery in bridge and I saved it applying the 'savelocation' as being in page2 of my root folder. But when I checked it online the 'gallery' icon on my homepage does nothing. I then tried saving the gallery to my root folder instead (i.e. not in the page2 of my root folder) but with zero results.
    (4) I've then dragged the root folder's html file (my website's homepage) into dreamweaver, clicked the 'gallery' icon and tried to apply the page2 of my root folder file to the properties inspector's link box (bottom of dreamweaver workspace) - but this wouldn't work either.
    I know that I must be close to solving this riddle and so can anyone help me please.

  • How can I reduce the width of an Adobe Bridge web gallery in Dreamweaver?

    Hi there,
    I've been created a website using Dreamweaver CS4, which is nearly finished except for the photo gallery.
    I have created the web gallery through Adobe bridge and exported. I then created an iframe within the dreamweaver page and specified that it fills 100% of the space (or column, which is approx 510px wide). I then inserted the index file of the gallery into the iframe though 'modify' > 'Edit tag'.
    I saved and tested the webpage in a browser - the functionality worked but the gallery seems to be cropped (See attached pic).
    I then tried to specify that the iframe was 510px wide, but the gallery remained at the same width and the right side of some images and the scroll bar are missing.
    Does anyone know how to reduce the width of an adobe bridge web gallery to 500px wide and insert succesfully into dreamweaver??
    Many thanks
    Helen

    The original photo gallery is:
    http://www.bethanyjanedavies.com/portfolio.html
    You can see that the right side is chopped off
    But I may have to compromise and use:
    http://www.bethanyjanedavies.com/portfolio2.html
    This is a much wider page than the rest of the website, but I suppose you have to find a compromise that works!!
    Cheers

  • Add Adobe Bridge Web Gallery to iweb

    I had made a Adobe Bridge Web Gallery.
    It woks perfectly fine when I preview the index.html file in the gallery folder.
    After I drop the gallery folder in my site folder,
    and making a photo link to the index.html file. The Web-Browser shows up Blank.
    Hope someone may teach me step-by step after exporting the Bridge Web Gallery in combining with iweb.
    Thanks

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Where are you publishing your site to? MobileMe or a 3rd party server?
    If it's MMe upload your Gallery folder to your iDisk/Web/Sites folder and use the following URL to link to it?
    http://web.me.com/YourMMe_Account_Namer/Gallery_FolderName/index.html
    You can embed the gallery into an iWeb page using iFrame code in an HTMl snippet. This is the code:
    <iframe height="XXXpx" allowTransparency="true" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" style="width:XXXpx;border:none" src="http://web.me.com/YourMMe_Account_Namer/Gallery_FolderName/index.html"></iframe>
    Set the height and width so that the gallery is totally embedded in the iWeb page. You may have to widen the iWeb page with the Inspector/Page/Layout pane.
    Don't put the gallery folder inside your iWeb site folder as it may be deleted when you publish site changes. Keep it outside the site's folder.
    Happy Holidays

  • Trying to incorporate bridge web gallery into GoLive page

    All thoughts are so welcome. I'm trying to update my GoLive site with a Bridge web gallery. I've seen a tutorial or two about doing this in DW, but not my beloved GoLive. Any wisdom would be so appreciated!

    The DW tutorials probably apply to GoLive as well. You're going to need to get your hands a little dirty with HTML to mix web pages.

  • CS6 Bridge web gallery - HTML Gallery template problem

    In CS6 Bridge, a web gallery created with the HTML Gallery template puts the images in a directory with a path of content\bin\images. This prevents the images from being served from IIS - the bin directory is by default a "Hidden segment". There is no need for the directory hierarchy generated to use the name "bin".
    I know how to work around the issue, but it would be better if the issue was not present in the first place. I tried to report it as a problem on photoshop.com, but was unable to login.
    How do I report this problem to Adobe?

    (Me again, my previous Adobe ID broke). We don't have Dreamweaver, and the users who create and upload web galleries would not be able to use such tools (or a text editor which works on several files at the same time). My workaround is to have a directory dedicated to their web galleries using a web.config file of
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <configuration>
        <system.webServer>
            <security>
                <requestFiltering>
                    <hiddenSegments>
                        <remove segment="bin" />
                    </hiddenSegments>
                </requestFiltering>
            </security>
        </system.webServer>
    </configuration>
    So that the HTML web galleries' "bin" sub-directories are accessible.

  • Does "Bridge Web Gallery" need Java on hosting server to run?

    I have uploaded a web gallery made with Bridge CS6, but all I see is a white screen. the gallery works fine locally. I just spoke with my host servers tech support and all he can think of is that they doen't run Java on their servers because it causes them way too much trouble. All I see is Javascript in the resource folder and they have no issue with that.
    I'm on a Mac and as far as I know I'm running the lastest Java on my Mac as I updated it a few weeks ago. This is why I was wondering if I needed Java? Also I'm using Dreamweaver to upload the files to the server.

    workflow functions are also exposed via java api's. so you can have your web application in say iAS, weblogic, ibm websphere,... and display pages using the java api.
    the default workflow pages are generated using pl/sql api's. in this case you can get rid of pl/sql gateway.
    i myself have worked on implementations which developed the application using the java api's
    satish paul
    Thank you Fernando. I have been pointed out that there is a oracle plug-in for Microsoft IIS, enabling us to use it as the web server, Hence removing the need for Apache http server and the PL/SQL gateway.

  • Align title in bridge web gallery, change font of image names.

    I have a web gallery that was created in Adobe Bridge (slide show template).  I have most of the customization done that I want.... except for 2 issues:
    1.  I would like the gallery title to be right aligned rather than the default left.  I have, in the past accomplished this... but for the life of me, I can't figure out how I did it now!  Any help would be appreciated.
    2.  I have given the images names.... how do I change the font color of these image names that appear?
    Thanks!  Any help is appreciated.

    I haven't used the Bridge galley, but my first guess would be dig into the gallery's CSS. It's either in a CSS doc or in the head of the gallery pages, but it's sure to be in CSS somewhere.  This would be for colors and font anyway,,, I don't know if Bridge formats wilt CSS or tables, you just have to open the documents in Dreamweaver to see.

  • How to add title/caption to each image in Bridge web gallery

    Hi,
    I am creating a web gallery within Bridge and I want to add a title and caption to each image in my web gallery. How do I do that? The only thing I see is the Site Info. section and that adds a title and caption to the entire web gallery (including each image) and I want different titles and captions for each image. There must be a simple way to do this I just haven't figured it out yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
    ashmic19

    Thanks Curt Y for your help. The thing is I have to use only Bridge. I looked up this problem on http://www.experts-exchange.com/ and they said it was not possible to add titles and captions for individual images (slides) in a web gallery in Bridge. They seemed to imply that this was overlooked. So I input what I could based on what was provided by Bridge and turned it in. Thanks to all who viewed and replied to this post. I appreciate it.

  • Change background in Adobe Bridge Web Gallery

    Hi,
    I am trying to use a web gallery created with adobe bridge in my webpage. I have inserted gallery in an <iframe>.  The gallery shows up just fine.  I would like to have the background of the webpage show up rather than the background of the web gallery. How can I do this? Try opening in Chrome or Firefox and inspecting the elements. You can turn easily locate the CSS that's driving the background and experiment with settings. You get there by right clicking on an element and select Inspect Element from the options. It's much easier than trying to go through all of that HTML code without a style sheet to go along with it.

  • No image Metadata when outputting from Bridge Web Gallery (CS4)

    I use the Web Gallery option within the Output module in CS4 Bridge to process my photos to the image size I want for uploading to flickr. However all the metadata data gets stripped out.
    Is there an option I am missing to retain metadata?
    Of course I can add back in any IPTC data I want, but I should not have to do that more than once, what I am really annoyed over is the Camera Data (EXIF) is gone.
    Software Details:
    CS4 Bridge (3.0.0.464)
    Output Module
    Web Gallery (Standard or HTML Gallery)
    Mac OSX 10.5.7

    Look into the Image Processor in Bridge or, better yet, install Dr. Brown's Services 2.0.2, a free, brilliant set of scripts by the same author as the Image Processor, Russell Brown.  It's like the Image Processor on steroids.

  • Can an Adobe Bridge web gallery slideshow file be inserted in Dreamweaver as part of the homepage?

    Hello.  I am designing the homepage of my first website in Adobe Dreamweaver CS6.  And I would like for the page to include a slideshow that automatically plays as soon as a visitor opens the webpage.  I am interested in using Adobe Bridge to create the slideshow using the feature "web gallery."  The tutorials that I've seen describe how to create the web gallery slideshow, then show how it appears when uploaded to the web as an html file through FTP to a server.  It appears as a separate page.  And I notice that the web gallery file is an index file.  I would appreciate knowing how to include the html file as part of the homepage.  Will simply renaming the file from being "index.html" to something like "my_first_slideshow.html" make possible including it in the site structure?  Or will doing so cause it and the files attached to it to be inaccessable when viewed in a browser?  If it can be included in the site, is an <iframe> needed to be in the code for the slideshow to fit into?  Thank you.

  • Bridge Web Gallery to Dreamweaver

    I have seen a dizzying number of threads to this but with no real answers.
    I am desperate to find a solution to inserting a Photo Gallery created in Bridge CS4 into an existing html page created in Dreamweaver CS4.
    I am experiencing all the same problems as other posts:
    - Bridge creates an "index.html" file for the gallery
    - The "gallery.swf" file does not work when inserted into Dreamweaver
    - copied/pasted code from the mysterious "index.html" file does not work when inserted into existing Dreamweaver page
    - along with the various hair pulling, pacing, screaming and the occasional tear when all efforts fail
    I am also up against the usual designer constraints:
    - not a Flash master
    - asked to do something beyond the scope of my abilities
    - want to do the job anyway
    - very VERY little time left to complete the job
    That's why I thought the Bridge Gallery was going to be the answer to everything. Why create a web gallery when it won't work in a web page? Do people really just upload the one page from Bridge and call it a website?? I'm so confused!
    Please oh please help I do so need help...

    Also....
    Why would Adobe create such a neat automated feature then make it impossible to use it inside Dreamweaver?? Isn't their strength built upon their tight integration from program to program? I'm now reading I may have to purchase another web gallery program that WILL work? Why would Adobe want us to go outside their product line?
