Bridge wont open from within cs4

I upgraded to cs4 from cs2, it works fine but bridge wont open from within cs4. I get this little window - error2:photoshop 11 is undefined. Line 1, photoshop11.invoke bridge (false,false")
Bridge does open from windows start menu.

What folder did you put them in? also, you need to restart Photoshop before you can see them added to the panel menu.

Scanning from within CS4

I want to scan from within CS4 x64, like we used to in the old days!
I appreciate that TWAIN is making way for WIA, however, I can't find a way to scan from within photoshop and NOT have to immediately save the scanned image. In want to just scan and open, and then make the decision to save (or not) later on.
Can anyone please advise? (I have a Canoscan 4400F)

I think you'd have to ask (canon?) to update their drivers to do what you want. sounds like a scanner driver issue rather than photoshop.

There are several ways. The two easiest are to click the Junk icon to turn it off or right click the message and select Mart As-Not Junk.

Bridge wont open

i rolled back from 2.0 beta to 1.0.7.3312 and now bridge wont work i can connect to my 9900, and i even get notifications of new messages and e-mails but none of the bridge apps will open. any ideas?

First, I'd suggest resetting the Playbook... touch the battery icon > reset.

ITunes wont open from my external hard drive onto my new laptop

i have an external hard drive connected to my desktop with all my itunes music on there. but when i connect the external to my new laptop, itunes wont open. it says i dont have itunes support or something like that. and the reason i have my music on the external is so i CAN open itunes from another computer. but this isnt happening right now. someone please help.

We'll try a "standalone" installation of Apple Application Support, then. (It may not install, but at least we'll have a better idea of what the problem is, based on any error messages we might get.)
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, does iTunes launch properly now?

Attachements wont open from Mail

Just recently I started having a problem that all attachments coming in on my mail system wont open directly from Mail. I must first save them to my desktop and then open the files. At that point they open fine. The error message just states "attachment cant be opened", even from there I can select the proper porgram and still no luck. They only open after being saved. This use to work fine - Im not sure what triggered the change - update I expect. I did check all associations and they are still correct in the system. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Apps download in iTunes are iOS apps for iPods/iPads/iPhones and they will not open on a Mac - that's normal.
Apps downloaded from the Mac App Store (in the Apple menu) are apps for use with OS X, the operating system for Macs, not iDevices.

How to disable the 'Read Only' notification on an Access document when it is opened from within a document library (SP 2010)

OK, so I am currently having issues with opening MS Access documents from SP 2010. I have taken an existing database and uploaded it into a document library. Now, when I open this document I get the prompt to open it in either 'Read Only' or 'Edit'.
When I select 'Read Only' I can view the document, however I get the 'Read Only - Save As' notification when the document opens up. I have configured the document both from the source (on the original file) and from within SP to disable notifications - (from
within the Trusted Options selection)
Deleted the document and uploaded it again, and the 'yellow bar' notification is still appearing.
I want to disable the 'Save As' function, or even hide this when the document is opened. Is this at all possible??

According to your description, my understanding is that you don’t want the yollow bar notification to display when you open Access documents.
This issue seems to be about the client application. Please compare the followings with the things that you did:
1.Open the documents
2.Click File->Options->Trust Center->Trust Center Settings
3.Click Protected View, unselect ‘Enable Protected View for originating from the Internet’
4.Click Message Bar, select ‘Never show information about blocked content’
5.Click Macro Settings, select ‘Disable all macros without notification’
In addition, as this issue is about Office, I commend you create a new thread in Office forum, more experts will assist you with this issue.

Urls wont open from page clicable links and bookmarks work fine

My computer recently crashed and i did a system restore to another date and i had to update my java and adobe,
since then my urls wont open if i type a complete url and hit enter it just wont go not enter not by clicking the arrow it just wont move but if i do a bookmark or link its fine ,
its only when i type in the address,
for those addresses i cant type i just use google and from the search i open them thank you !!

Itunes wont open from desktop icon or anwhere else

ive installed recent itunes and it still wont open. ive repaired itunes and it still wont work. i continue getting an error message. i dont want to lose my music so i really dont want to uninstall.any advice would be great!

Can you post the error message in full.
Also try to start QUicktime. iTunes can't work without it. Does Quicktime start and work normally? If not describe what happens and give any error message in full.
Then head for your control panel and try to start QUicktime preferences. If you get an error message post it in full.

Google search wont open from drop down menu

When I go to Google to search I open the drop down bar to select a previous search and it wont open I have to manually type in the search window to search.

Mouse clicking wouldn't work for me either in the Google drop down box but up/down keys followed by enter do. I hope a quick fix is in order for this.

Older Psd's wont open in FW CS4

I recently upgraded to the Web Premium version of CS4. In
2004, I used pre-CS PS with ImageReady to create my website which
consists of 16 pages. I want to upgrade the site and make some
changes so I figured upgrading to new and possibly better (easier
to use) CS4 would be the ticket. Well I anxiously watched a few
online video tutorials assuming I would have a seamless effort with
the pages, links, nav button rollover states and everything set
previously. All I wanted to do was change out the bitmap text for
some vector text, resample and correct the clarity of some photos
and add a few graphics, maybe a few more photos, and change some
external links. Well, I've never used FW or DW and like I said I
thought it would be a snap. My problem is I cannot import my PSD
files into FW as I get the error message, "Could not open the file.
An internal error occurred." I've opened simple graphic PSD files
that were created for items on the pages, but it will not open the
full PSD page file. My Standard page width is 980 pixels and most
pages are not longer than 1000 pixels. One page is a hair over
2000. File sizes range from 7 Megs to 16 Megs. Is it the ImageReady
layers for the slices and button rollover scripts that are choking
it? I tried to open an HTML of the pages in FW and I got an error
message that said FW "This document contains Javascripts that could
not handled by Fireworks. Fireworks will not be able to Save or
Export these Javascripts." I even tried saving a file with slices
removed and it wouldn't open.
I feel like I'm starting over here. The last thing I want to
do is break apart the page pieces and reassmble them in FW or DW.
Is that my only option, am I missing something, or is there a fix
in the works? I've read a lot of unhappy camper comments posted on
Firewroks CS4. Right now I'm thinking of just doing the edits on
one of my other machines that still has ImageReady and GoLive. Give
me some good news. Thanks in advance...

I have successfully Opened several Pr 6.5 Projects into CS2 Production Studio (PrPro 2.0), and each had Titles, that were just fine. The only thing that I had to do with a very few was change the font, as those older Projects were done on a Mac, and I did not have all the same fonts on my newer PC. PrPro even did a fair job of substituting some of the fonts, but others had to be done manually. Note the versions that I have used, as there could well be major changes along the way. Also, are you on a PC now too, or does a Mac figure into your workflow?
Now, going back to before PrPro, at about Pr 5 (?) a totally different Title format was used - Title Deko, and those files were separate from the Project files.
PRTL files (Title Template files) can only be used in either PrPro, or PrE, and cannot be Opened in PS, AI, or any other program, that I know of. Being able to Open and edit them in PS has been a constant Feature Request for PS, but so far, no-go.
When you Dbl-click on the Titles, do they Open in Titler?

FF wont open from, after install/update it opens, but when closed it wont reopen.

FireFox was working, shutdown system for the night. Next morning it would not open. The browser frame opens up and the tab at the top has the little 'busy' circle looking like it is trying to do something, but it never opens. The frame will have several images of other widows dragged across it. Pulldown from the tool bar open and act like they are operational. I did an install (Update) and at the end of the installation it asks if you want to open FireFox. That one works. If I close out of the browser it will not reopen.

.indd files all greyed out, cannot open from within Indesign CS5

Dear all,
On a iMac g5 i7 with Indesign CS5 (7.0.4).
Since yesterday all .indd files are greyed out when trying to open them from Indesign (command-o).
From Finder they open fine still...
Can't find anything on the web.
Clues?

Indeed, you clearly need to find the source of the problem.
In my limited experience, this kind of thing happens when some program misbehaves and causes the LS Database to get corrupt. This usually happens as a one-time event, so rebuilding is an easy solution.
In your case, obviously the problem is chronic, so you will need to get to the bottom of it.
There is no reason to assume that InDesign is at fault. I'm afraid I don't have any tips for you. Contact an Apple support path, I guess.
