Bridge CC でSVGファイル表示

Illustrator CC で作成したSVGファイルが、Bridge CC で表示されません。
解決方法はありますでしょうか。

昔は見れたんですよね。現バージョンではきちんとプレビューすることはできません。
あまりいい解決法ではないのですが、Illustratorで書き出す時に「XMPを含める」にチェックを入れておくと、サムネイルが埋め込まれて一応、内容は確認できます。ただし、SVGでなくビットマップのサムネイルなので拡大しても汚いままですが。またsvgzはこれにチェックしてもBridgeでは見られません。
時期バージョンでさすがにもう修正して欲しいと思います。

SVG Preview in Bridge CS4

Just wondering what happened to preview for SVG files in Bridge CS4? I have tried 2 computers now and both of them have Scalable Vector Graphic previews in CS2 & CS3, but not CS4.
I know Adobe gave up on supporting it in favor of Flash, but does that mean I can't preview the old SVG files I have on my computer. Half the clip art on the web is in SVG format??

Adobe is most likely getting out of the software business... or maybe just admitting that they're out of it. Look at the disgraceful state of Illustrator, riddled with major design defects and bugs since its inception, and never fixed. I run Corel Draw in a VM rather than waste one more hour on this POS. I've given it many chances, and every time I do I discover more craven stupidity in its design and more incompetence in its execution.
The sad fact is that there's no money or interest in high-complexity computer applications for the general public anymore. That's why Adobe has gotten away with peddling the same defective crap year after year. Writing competing applications for even one platform, let alone two, is a mountainous task that no one is going to take on today.
I wish there were a competent vector art program for the Mac, but there isn't. I've tried every one I can find. The closest I've found is Inkscape, which runs under X11. I love to see Freehand open-sourced.

Viewing .svg thumbnails in Bridge CS5.5

I need to organize a large number of .svg files I have in folders.
I opened Bridge and found it only shows an icon for the .svg files instead of a thumnail of what the file looks like.
This is very frustrating.
Is there a way around this? A way I can get a thumbnail of the file to show like it does with .eps and .ai files?

Hi - This is a good question - I have it too.
SVG is indeed listed in the "File Type Associations" in Bridge. I have a slew of images save from Illustrator CS5 in SVG format.
Is there any way to gain thumbnails for those files in Bridge?

Hi, I want to know why can't I preview svg files in bridge cs6 on mac 10.6.8. It's really frustrating as an increasing number of Illustrator files are saved in this format and I need to check through a gazillion of them. Help!

That was the reason why the thumbnail icons weren't showing up in Bridge. Saving to include XMP data somehow brings in the previews in Bridge.
I don't really need SVG files for print jobs (prefer .eps or .ai), however this appears to be the preferred file format at the picture library where I bought the vector images.
Darn, I was hoping that was not the solution, as in order to view the images in Bridge, I will first have to open and re-save them.
Seems painful but thanks all the same. Would there be a way in Bridge to batch open and re-save files in another format, say from .svg to .ai ?

If you have the CS4 suite including Illustrator CS4 it should be possible to
view them in Bridge. Check the Bridge preferences file type associations,
they are there and check if you have Illustrator CS4 selected as the
application the should be visible in the list.
And also select one file and with right mouse click menu choose purge cash
for selection. If that helps you can either use purge cache for Folder in
the Tools menu or select all other files and again choose purge cache for
selection.

Is there a script to view SVG files in Bridge? I have to compare 55k images converted from eps to svg.

The Application I am talking about can be found when you open up a NEF file in Bridge and look at the Metadata tab on the right. Within that is the File Properties tab and the Application Ver. is the 3rd item from the top (after Filename and Document Type).
Yes, I do have only the one ACR file (Camera Raw.8bi.) in the program file/COMMON FILE/Adobe/plug ins/cs3/file formats.
I have also realized (brilliantly late in the game) that it is only the NEF files shot from my new D300s that do not work. No problem with the NEF files shot with my D100. So this leads me to conclude that my Bridge/Photoshop CS3 does not support the Camera Raw 5 that seems to be required for the D300s. Argh.
By upgrading my camera equipment, I have outmoded my requisite software.
I must say, that the recent post advisory on the forum site ("Raw files appear as icons") was supremely timely. While this does not solve my problem, it did help me understand the compatibility issues with the D300s and CS3. I have learned the following: D300s are supported by Camera Raw 5.5 which does not work with CS3. Is this correct?

Wmf files in bridge cc

In previous versions of Bridge I had preview of wmf files, now I just get an icon. Is there a way to preview these files?

Windows Metafile (WMF) is an image file format originally designed for Microsoft Windows in the 1990s. Windows Metafiles are intended to be portable between applications and may contain both vector graphics and bitmap components. It acts in a similar manner to SVG files.
I have been able to view these files in Bridge CS5 so wondered why I could not in Bridge CC...I can open them in Illustrator.

How do I enable SVG support in Bridge?
It seems ludicrous to imagine that SVG support is not available, given that Adobe's Bridge CC fully and seamlessly supports other vector-based & vector-enabled standards, including PDF, AI and EPS (open) standards. Adobe's marketing language provided on the Adobe.com Bridge Product Page (https://creative.adobe.com/products/bridge) explicitly states:
Bridge provides you with centralized access to all the media assets you need for your creative projects. Batch edit with ease, add watermarks, and even set centralized color preferences—Bridge simplifies your workflow and keeps you organized.
Note the language the Adobe Marketing Team has chosen to use in this excerpt: "...access to all the media assets you need..." In the case of this creative director, without integrated SVG support Adobe's claim is questionable, at best. While, admittedly, web usage for SVG is still emerging, the data plotted on this graph (Usage Statistics of SVG for Websites, September 2014.) indicates the exponentially increasing trend: Meanwhile, this chart (http://caniuse.com/#feat=svg) indicates all current-release web browsers support SVG, and whopping 88% of the installed browsers fully support the usage of SVG.

Just a few thoughts:
You do know that you are NOT addressing Adobe here in these users forums, don't you? If you just needed to rant, you've done it now.
We're users here just like you. Your chances of your post making its way to anyone at Adobe who cares about this issue or can do anything about it are slim to none.
Bridge is just a file browser, not a "web browser". It started out as nothing more and nothing less than Photoshop's File Browser. Which "web browser" are you referencing or comparing it to? …and why?
Is there any support you wish to see in Bridge (beside the display of SVG thumbnails, which is understood)? Perhaps you should consider making a formal feature request. Search these forums for the place to leave such feature requests.

Display previews of SVG files (thumbnails)

In Bridge CS5's Preview panel, SVG files show up as icons only. Please integrate SVG into this function.

Here's another user in favor of SVG previews. Since Adobe pulled the plug on its SVG viewer, it's that much more reason that Bridge should pick up that role. If Adobe software can import or export the format, it should be viewable in Bridge.

Error in starting Adobe Bridge in Photoshop CS2

I've just installed Photoshop CS2, however upon opening Adobe Bridge this error message appears " The application has failed to start because libagluc28.dll was not found. Reinstalling to application may fix the problem"
I have reinstalled and click repair but to no avail
I followed Adobe Support Knowledgebase solution and run CMD and this appears:
c:Documents and Settings/Jesus M Ferraris>
then i entered the command
cacls c:\windows\installer /T /E /C /G administrators:F
but an error message appears - 'cacls' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or bathc file
I also entered the next command
cacls "c:\documents and setting\all users" /Y /E /C /G administrators:F
still the same error as above appears, Please help, have I miss something or was my procedure correct...

Error Message: Need to purge Cache in Adobe Bridge CC (on PC)

I tried purging using Adobe Bridge by going to Edit/Preferences/Cache then purging, but it becomes non responsive. The error message said the problem files were at Users/(my user name)/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/BridgeCC/Cache. There are 4 files in there that are taking up 124 GB! Can I simply delete these files or will it corrupt my regular files? I tried doing as some other forums suggested and hold the ALT key down when opening Bridge before purging, but no luck.

Yes, you can delete the cache files manually, Just be advised that Bridge will become very, very slow until it finishes rebuilding its caches. Depending on your files, that can take a few minutes or several hours.
A good way of doing it is at night, so you can do it before going to bed and let Bridge rebuild caches overnight.
If you can, save the cache files before deleting them to an external drive, so that you'll have them as backup if something goes wrong.

In adobe bridge in Tools menu below the cache submenu it only says "process collections in Photoshop". It does not give me the option to "load images in layers is Photoshop"

If all the items do not appear, consider resetting Bridge Preferences.
Close Bridge, hold down Command-Option-Shift (PC: Control-Alt-Shift) and then launch Bridge again. A dialog will appear asking what you want to do. Turn on the Reset Preferences checkbox and click OK. Now when Bridge appears, the preferences are factory-fresh.

Adobe Bridge in advertising agency

i work in advertising agency Made by Vaculik (formerly Vaculik Advertising), we are located in Europe/Slovakia/Bratislava and we was using Adobe Bridge since CS2 release. CS3 was longest used and we was VERY satisfied with its technology. Creative, graphics and DTP department worked closely on each project, every save was synchronized with our server with name of user etc. It was much better environment than find latest version on someone's computer. But since CS6 it is not longer supported internal servers, only cloud engine. We are ad agency that primarily sells ideas and we simply cannot store our data on external servers, so i and my collegaues are VERY surprised that this technology was changed to different target group. We was probably first bigger agency who used this technology in Czech and Slovak republic and nowadays we are searching for similar solutions for our needs, but for example we are preparing really some YEARS to implement Alfresco with JIRA, but it got many problems. So what Adobe, really we are only agency in the world who missed Bridge to use with our internal servers? Cheers.

PhotoShop CS2 Bridge caused strange loss of desktop visibility/memory ??

I have a G5 (Duel) running Tiger 10.4.6. Just lately the Bridge in Photoshop CS2 has not been working too well - it became very slow and sometimes didn't "see" my images. Yesterday I could get it to find my image folders at all. Then all my desktop started to look weird - even when I wasn't using the Bridge. So I closed all the applications and restarted the computer. To my horror all my desktop and preferences (dock, safari, desktop picture, folders etc.) had been lost. At first I thought I had somehow lost all my image folders but using spotlight I found them all there - distribted in places I had never put them. I sorted everything out again and re-did all my customised stuff but it was scary! At no time did the computer give me any warning of any trouble. It did not crash or anything. I was running QuarkXpress 5 (classic 9) as well and had a Skype window open (although I wasn't using it to talk at the time) Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this happened - has it happened to anyone else ? !snd_intel8x0m <- is your problem. Your sound module got blacklisted so un-list it. Modprobe it then try sound again or just reboot and it should work.
moonswan. snd_intel8x0 is the sound card (I think), in the alsa wiki it said it was recommended to blacklist snd_intel8x0m as a quirk fix.
No sound with or without it blacklisted still :-(

Adobe Bridge CS6 for mac: export modules, facebook export module gives an error every time i try to sign in

in the export module for facebook every time i click "sign in to facebook" it gives the following error: "An error occurred while request facebook connection"

The export module has been discontinued in Bridge CC and as long as it has been there the option for social media has worked only for FB in a few countries. Due to rights management (as we where told) there where restrictions for most other countries. But if it did work for you in the past you should try click on FB in export module or use the tiny menu icon in the export panel for preferences and try to set up a new connection.
