Brightness on MacBook Pro 1.83 Ghz

Hey guys,
I purchased one of the first MacBook Pros back in April, and I've been very pleased with it. However, when I was installing somebody else's MacBook Pro in August (which is exactly the same as mine, except that it's 2 Ghz instead of my 1.83 Ghz), I noticed that the luminosity/brightness of the screen was different and brighter on his than on mine, when both are on the brigter they can get. I've tried to go to the options and compared the 2, but these are exactly the sames.
It never really bothered me or I never felt that my screen was not bright enough before putting the 2 computers next to each other and notice the different. But now, I'm a little upset to notice that, and when I went to the Apple Store, the only think they were able to tell me is that the luminoisty and brigthness are different from one computer to another!
The Apple logo in the back is also brighter on my friend's computer than mine. Again, never striked to me until I put the 2 computers next to each others.
Do you guys have any idea where does this come from and do you have ay suggestions?

Thank you for your answer. I had already compared the calibration and they were both the same. And it's not really about the colors but really about the brightness.
I might bring it to a local shop but I'm afraid they''re gonna tell me there's not much they can do, because the computer's fine, works well and the brightness is also "fine", also not as bright as the other MBP, and I'm also using my computer with the brigtness option at the maximum all the time.
