Brillaint update process Aborts then restores and fails.... what now

Ok so plug in my Ipod touch that i really dont use all that often into my laptop itunes recognises there is newer software.
I accept to update, it backs up and then tries to update, aborts half way through
It then tells me theres a problem (really) and it suggests a restore which i accept, not much on the ipod touch, so not much harm can come....
Wrong during restore it fails again, i get a msg from itunes telling me so
and now the ipod wont even turn on. blank nada nothing, removed from the computer and re-plug and now windows just tells me theres a device plugged in it doesnt recognise and tells me its 'malfunctioned' and itunes wont pick it up either.
anyone shed some light down my tunnel.

Told me to ring support, after support spent 15 minutes confirming what i already knew (it was dead) i have to send them to it and they will replace it.
Satisfactory end i guess but really it was only a firmware update.....

Normally, I would suggest restoring the iPad and uninstall and reinstall iTunes but you have done both of those things - more times than you ever imagined!
Have you thought about turning auto syncing off?
Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Edit. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
If you do this you can backup the iPad right away before it syncs. You may want to go into all of the iTunes tabs and just make sure that all of the current content on the iPad is selected to sync before you actually do sync.
This doesn't solve the problem, but it would prevent the automatic sync and erasing content. Hopefully, in the next few days- when iOS 5 is released - you will also be relieved of this weird iPad behavior - since the iOS devices are supposed to become PC free.
BTW - and this is no excuse for what you are experiencing, but I have found that some of the game apps that I had on my iPad turned out to be quite troublesome and after I removed them, my problems went away. I know that is almost sacrilege with regard to the Angry Birds addiction .... But I'm just saying ...

Connect your iTouch to your PC then open iTunes, if iTunes does not recognize your device, try to hold the SLEEP Button and the HOME button at the same time (iPod Reset) for a couple of seconds until the "Charging Tone sounds, now you should be seeing your device name in the iTunes " Device List". If you do, just click RESTORE and iTunes will automatically restore your iTouch to original set-up and download the iOS6 update.

You should also be aware that there are a number of scams and malwares claiming fake updates.
Please post your report and tell us exactly what product and exact version you have.
And be aware you aren't talking to Adobe.

Imported through windows then restored and reimported through mac,but wont

I have an iPod Classic 80gb.
I originally added my own music through windows on my own laptop.
Recently whilst I was in hospital a guy mithered me to put my music onto his mac laptop.
It subsequently wiped all my songs out and I had to then restore and reimport all my songs off his hard drive back onto my iPod.
It seemed to work ok.
All the songs seem to be there minus the playlists,but now when I connect it to windows,it doesnt recognise the music.
Is it now only compatable with Mac,and if so is there a way that I can convert it so that it is compatable with windows again?

Clients finds updates that is not deployed and fails to install them! Code: 80242006

Hello!
I have SCCM 2007 SP2 R2 and trying to setup the Software Update Point!.
The weird thing is that the computers finds updates that is not deployed or not even downloaded and tries to install them but the fail with the error code: 80242006.

Some of those updates in the picture actually are downloaded and deployed but many of them are not.
"Computer Configuration --> Administrative Templates --> Windows Update --> Specify Intranet Microsoft Update Service Location" is pointing to our SCCM.
"Install Software Uppdates" in Task Sequance are disable.
The Update package is distrubuted to all DPs
Why does my computer find updates that is not is deployed or downloaded and why does it fail to install those that are?
Where do i start the troubleshoot?

First check the windowsupdate.log and see which WSUS server that is being used. A Configmgr controlled client will not install non-deployed updates.

Iphone 6 touch ID did not working , then restored and it bricked

I'm very depressed now. My iphone 6 is not working. Touch ID didn't work so I restored and updated to 8.1.3 and it stuck at 50% and showed the error 53 then bricked . I bought it in New Zealand and I'm working in another country. What should I do now ?

okay I'll tell you the whole story; okay, I had this "1" on my settings icon and in my updates, it said there was a new software, I read a bit about it, and it said I needed 50% and needed Internet connection, so I turned on our "wifi" box. it said I can install so I pressed it. and then the Apple logo came up in the middle of the black screen with a loading line below it. so I left it for about 1 hour or so, and came back and it was half way, so I left it again of the same amount of time, and when I came back it had the computer side of the white cord that you get with your IPod and an arrow pointing towards the ITunes Icon, so I guessed that I had to go to ITunes so I did, and it told me to restore my iPod, I didn't know what that meant so I clicked Restore and Update, and up the top of the screen it said it was "extracting" and then a alert came saying there was an error, so I I clicked "ok" and then my IPod went to a black screen and the Apple Logo appeared in the middle of the screen again, I left it for 1 hour and came back it hadn't changed, so I left it over night on charge and in the morning it hadn't hanged, so I took it off charged for the rest of the day, and it said it needed charge, so the black screen and the apple logo must have taken away charge, so as soon as I plugged it into the computer again, it went back to the black screen with the apple logo, so now it wont even let my reset my iPod, so now I have to see if it is fixable, if it is not I blame the instructions IOS resolving thingy, and get a new iPod or spend a lot of money fixing it, I would trade it, but I doubt my folks would let me, so thanks a lot, if you know any way of fixing my iPod please "please" PLEASE! help me, it would be greatly appreciated, if I don't get it working I may loose friends, because my iPod was for some of my best friends the only way I stay in contact with them. Do you memeber the complete wording of the error message?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

if you are trying update your ipod from itunes and there are errors/problems then you should try to do it in other way..
download the ios 5 seperately..heres the link

(select your device,model and which version you want..)
after it is downloaded..open your itunes and connect your ipod.. then click on the "Check for Update" button while holding down the Option key (Shift on a PC/ctrl on a Mac). Select the iOS5 IPSW you just downloaded and confirm.
