Bring back iphoto for ios8. There is no native correction brush in photos
For years I've been able to edit anything on my phone using iphoto, and now I find that ios8 diesn't even support it. There is no native correction brush tool in The editing options of ios8. None of the PS apps have it. Any suggestions?
This is a backwards move, Apple.

10.10.3 causing Apple Mouse problems and bring back iPhoto
I recently purchased an Apple Mouse to replace my Rocksole Magic Mouse. Since updating to 10.10.3 yesterday, my button scrolls down but not up. I have opened preferences and tried all settings for the button. Nothing helps. The old mouse works fine. I thought that I would try the Apple mouse because I like the feel better.
Seeing all the other problems with ---.3, I fear that Apple is getting like Microsquash!!!! Does anyone else have this problem, or a fix, other than going back to my old mouse?

Also I discovered that iPhoto is still on my mac, but the photo library has changed to the new one, which has to be converted back.

I have been using IPhoto for three years. Now I cannot print a photo because I get this message: "There were no themes located. Until at least one theme has been installed, this feature will be unavailable."
You need to reinstall iPhoto. To do so you'll have to delete the current application and all files with "iPhoto" in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the:
HD/Library/Receipts folder (10.5 and earlier)
or from the /var/db/receipts/ folder (10.6) .
or from the /private/var/db/receipts folder (10.7 or later)
Then install iPhoto from the source it came from originally.

Using the iPhone camera, I take a photo and then I want to make the photo a little brighter.
So, I edit a photo using iPhoto for iOS and then save the photo back to the camera roll.
Now, I might want to see where that photo was taken via another app (like Photo Mapo) or on the map using the Photos app, or even the Mac iPhoto app.
However, the GPS data has been removed. Looks like all of the other exif data is still in the photo.
Why not just have a feature to remove the GPS data if the user wants? no reason to remove it for them.
The user explictily chose to have location services turned on so the GPS data would be in the photo.
Is this a bug?

Brian.First thing to try is a reboot of your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem.
None of my cameras has a GPS function so I never see that data in the info of a photo in iPhoto for iOS. But I do see the map choice to set a location for the photo. Perhaps a reboot will fix this for you. -
Does iOS 5.1 bring back lyrics for iPad?

I'm sure many, many others have asked this question a lot recently, but in the latest beta version of iOS 5.1, has the lyrics feature returned for the music app on iPad / iPad 2? Because I'm sure it is just a bug in the software that doesn't cause them to appear.
Only reason I'm asking is that I cannot find an answer anywhere online confirming if they've returned or not. I use lyrics on my iPhone 4 a lot, and I seriously wish that it would come back to the iPad.
Maybe Apple will say this Wednesday alongside the announcement of the iPad 3 the lyrcis bug might have been fixed, but in the meantime, if anyone knows, please let us know for certain if they've come back in the beta versions. Thanks.

The issue is well known and Apple is aware about it
There is no bug or else
This is a planned way to push all lyrics fans to purchase or use apple store apps such as SoundHound or others
The music app has been changed dramaticaly since the OS 5.0.1
The shuffle and other features are not user friendly
Now this said if this was a bug it would of been fixed on the new iPad lauched mid-March 2012
So look and ask any new iPad users and you will see that lyrics and music app is pretty much the same as iPad2
So if I was you and want your Lyrics back, well do not wait for it....they may never come back -
I take A LOT of pictures as I am an amerature photographer. I have used up almost all of the space on my internal hard drive with photos and music. Is there a way I can use my time capsul as an external hard drive? If so, can anyone direct me where I can go to figure out HOW to do it? I appreciate your help!!!!
Buy a large enough external hard drive you can use to store your pictures permanently. Time Capsule is not a good choice for this. Keep your backups separate from your storage needs.

Can't edit pictures in new Photos update bring back iPhoto !!
My pictures display fine but when I go to edit them they don't show up in the edit window and the tool bar
is barely visible. These are simple jpegs not RAW files.There is a significant difference in the features between Pages '09 and Pages 5 with so many features removed that Pages 5 is not converting the older format well:

Pages '09 should still be in Applications/iWork.
Trash or archive Pages 5 and wait for Apple to sort it out. You can also rate/review it in the App Store.

I connected a digital camera memory chip with approximately 100 photos on it to import into iPhoto. The photos showed up in iPhoto. I believe I deleted the photos from the memory chip before importing them to iPhoto. Is there any way I can get the photos back?

Tone curve - please bring back sliders, Canon DPP software just as clumsy!
Please bring back sliders for the tone curve beta 4 in this respect is now just as awkward and clumsy to operate in this respect as Canon DPP!
You can change from parametric to point curve mode yourself with the lower-right icon in the tone curve.

I had ordered a photo book print two years back. I want to reorder the same book again now. However, I have lost the album project/photos from iphoto.
Is there any way to see my print order history and reorder the same book for print ?No. Apple only keeps the pdf file for a book for 30 days. Without the library and book project you won't be able to reorder the same book.

Is there a way to bring back the "Open a New Tab" option via right-clicking on the Tab?
I just upgraded to latest version of Firefox (6.0). Yesterday it informed me that an upgrade to Firefox 5.(something) was available and asked if I wanted to upgrade. I went for it. However, I hadn't used it since then till today. Now when I opened it today it asked me if I wanted to upgrade to version 6.0. Without hesitation, I went for it too.
While this version looks nice, it feels a bit odd to use it. Previously whenever I wanted to open a new Tab, I right-clicked on any of the Tabs (active tab or any other Tab) and after right-clicking, it had the option to '''''Open a New Tab''''' along with few other options. Now there's no such option. There's the + button to open a new tab, but what if I want to open a link in a new tab by right-clicking on it? Similarly the option to Open in New Window is also missing.
Is there a way to bring back those previous Tab options/settings? If yes, how?
P.S. In my bookmark toolbar, when I click on a bookmark icon, it has the same options/settings as it previously had in the last version I used (last version I used was 3.something; while I'd upgraded to version 5.something I hadn't used it except for opening the browser when it asked me to upgrade to version 6.0). Options on right clicking the bookmark icon are:
Open
Open in a New Tab
Open in a New Window
New Bookmark...
New Folder...
New Separator
Cut
Copy
Paste
Delete
Properties
I'd also like to mention here that I know of the shortcut keys; so please don't waste your time by trying to help me that way. Thanks.No. The Tab bar is a regular toolbar in current Firefox versions, so you get the normal right-click context menu of a toolbar if you right-click the tab bar.
You can double click on empty space on the tab bar to open a new tab if you do not want to use the new tab button.<br />
You can drag a link on that new tab button to open that link in a new tab.<br />
You can also drag the new tab button on another toolbar if you would like that better.<br />
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"<br /> -
I just downloaded Yosemite and all my iPhotos have disappeared! I tried importing them from the photo library but it said there wasn't enough space on my hard drive which is rubbish, because they were there before. How do I get them back to iPhoto?
There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have. -
Seven of my albums from iPhoto 9.5.1 are no longer visible. The photos are still visible in iPhoto, but the albums are completely gone (another 10 albums are still visible). The missing albums are visible in iPhoto Library Manager (I downloaded the free version and when it loaded the library the missing albums were visible)
About 6 months ago 4 different albums disappeared and I assumed my kids had accidentally deleted them; however, they haven't been allowed to touch the computer since then, so I can't blame them this time! Last time I lost albums I spent hours re-creating them but I am hoping that there is an easier way of getting the metadata to function again - I know I could create a new library with iphoto Library Manager but I would have to buy the full version and can't afford to do that.
Not sure if it has anything to do with updating the application? (I updated recently and I'm not sure exactly when the albums disappeared.Use the rebuild function in iPhoto Library Manager. That does not require a purchase. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. -
I used "adjust date and time" and"modify original files" to correct the time of photos taken on a camera used in Peru which was set to UK rather than local time. which is 6 hours behind. This was to bring them into line with shots taken with other cameras set to local time. This was using iphoto 08 on a Mac. I then synced to my iPad. The photos stayed in the correct order in photos but in iphoto (iOS version) the original dates appear (the camera dates) and so the photos are out of chronological order again. This looks like a bug but is there a fix?
don't know what you mean by "write to master" but speculate that it means modify the original times, in which case the taken times on the camera should no longer be present
No,I meant your using the option "modify original files" will do exactly that - change the capture date original master files stored in the iPhoto library. Only when you do that, the "date modified" of your original files will be changed as well, and it will now be the date of your manipulation of the capture date.
Oh - I hadnt considered that possibility - but of that were the case, why don't my manipulated photos go to the end of the sequence as I have done all the manipulation after the end of the holiday??

Because the library uses a different date - the date modified - the date of the last time the file has been changed in any way - any editing you do to your image, including adjust date and time will change the "date modified"
This may change the sorting of the database but it appears not to influence the order in the albums

Is there a way to bring back the actual tab "bar"?
So in switching from FF3.6 to 5.0 I have noticed that the actual "bar" that holds the tabs is gone.

It's visually slightly annoying to not have a distinct separator between the tab area and the button toolbar, but that is something I can live with.
However I can NOT live with the extremely annoying functionality drawback that comes as a result of this. In 3.X and before you could right click anywhere in the tab bar and it would bring up the tab management menu. Now you can't bring up the menu from empty space because it treats that space as part of the rest of the UI and gives you a different menu, forcing you to mouse all the way over to a tab to accomplish the same end.
So my question is, does anyone know of a way, or an addon, that can bring back the actual tab bar? I find all of these UI changes to be nothing short of infuriating. I swear, Mozilla, Facebook, Pandora, Google, and Microsoft must all be in cahoots with each other because they're all introducing horrible UI designs at the same time.Well I guess that's kind of cool that you can add buttons in the bar as well, but I honestly don't have a use for that and I think it would get in the way more often than not in most scenarios I can think of (there's a reason buttons were segregated from the tab bar and it wasn't tech limitations). The previous functionality is much more convienent and useful and, well, functional.
As for why FF5, well I've had the FF5 installation since before 6.0 was out, but the UI changes angered me so much that I abandoned it after about 20 minutes and went back to using my 3.6 installation; I've been letting the community stew and cook up solutions to the UI problems (status4evar for example) and like any good stew, giving it more time is better. Also a whole bunch of my addons (some of which are mission-critical to my browsing needs) were not [and a small few are still not] compatible with anything above 3.x, 4.x, or 5.x so I had to wait for those (mmm, stew). And then to top it off I figure the possibility that I'll run into upgrade problems is smaller if I go through the chain of updates rather than jumping from 3.6 straight to 7. And don't get me started on the whole rapid release schedule. :P
