Bring back the 3G/2G toggle back immediately in ios8!!!! This effects battery life drastically!!
in IOS7, when you switched off 3G, U could still be online via 2G and save battery. This option is gone in ios8.

To many different suggestions as to battery life of the MacPro. Is there one way to keep your battery life, do I keep it plugged in to AC or do I not?
To be honest, I would only plug it in when necessary. On my older 2009 MBP, I plug it in at night and it lasts me a solid 5-6 hours, if it needs to be plugged in during the day, I usually do it with about 2-3 hours left.

It's highly unlikely. All supported carriers operate 3G/HSPA+/LTE networks. Most are in the process of completely killing off their 2G/EDGE networks.

Double tap the home button and find the app you want to close. Swipe up or drag up on the app thumbnail to close it. Not the icon, the app preview thumbnail above the icon, drag up on that.

I got the same problem to. In 3mins I lost 8% of battery life I just used my phone for like a min. Had my phone for a month now and it started when I updated to ios5 and gone worse when updating to ios5.0.1.

Please advise me as to any method to restore a 1 year old 4S, keep apps from crashing or disappearing. and to reserve battery life? Information on WiFi malfunction would also be greatly appreciated. Sprint is unfortunately my carrier and I suspect a lot of resources are overtaxed to maintain connection. Thank you, Chris, for the optimistic reply! In terms of self-resolve I have done everything, including restore to original- to accomplish this I had to re- install Win 7 on a low use machine, as it could not be done with 8.1 Pro- attempt made with Apple advanced tech who also was unsuccessful at even getting the phone to restore with 8.1. I was going, with lots of time and assistance from the tech, to send in for a replacement, until I made one last try with older workstation and without using backup- didn't want to inherit old problems. The phone worked fine for a month or so and then reverted to the problems above. Wi-Fi is not greed out, but won't connect to some sites and 3G is usually faster and more reliable - on the phone, not computers. My data measured usage of data has spiked, I guess that is related to struggling for a Sprint connection. Battery life is rapidly degrading, was okay after restore.
Upgrade thinking was to improve antenna technology. I have owned, personally and as a company, over 50 iPhones. I have loved them, but can't seem to get a straight answer from Apple on this one; which makes me consider options. Has anyone resolved similar problems with the 4G? Fix, wait for 6, switch carriers or switch manufacturers? Is Apple switching it's focus to mass market, cheaper and less expensive? -

How did you test this Mountain Lion? Was it in a zoo cage with just 30 feet for it to run? Because out in the open it can't even walk!
Not to mention the fact that once I had upgraded many of my preferences and setting had disappeared.
Thank you also for telling me that the upgrade would take 34 minutes - it took 56.It did work properly, for almost everyone.
You must have something on your computer that is causing it problems. Try booting into Safe Mode and see if you still have the problems.
If not, then you have a third-party incompatibility.
If the problems still exist, I would suggest reinstalling. Lion had the same complaints. Many people fixed it just by reinstalling.
Others had to resort to erasing the drive and then reinstalling and migrating from Time Machine.
Others gave up and went back to Snow Leopard. -
I want to delete/uninstall an older version to bring up the newest version. How do I do this?
What more details do you need? I want to uninstall an older version of Firefox and install 4.0X. But cannot seem to be able to get rid of 3.04
OK, here I am replying to myself but perhaps others may gain from this solution. Remember, this original post was "how to stop Adobe preventing me from installing an older version and forcing me to take the latest version...". I just wanted to re-install an older version to prevent big CPU usage and stuttering video. Well, this is what fixed it for me an allowed me to install Adobe Flash V9...
Assuming you have properly uninstalled Adobe Flash Player v10.n, you need to remove a folder and files from your registry. If you are unhappy to do this, then ask an expert - the registry is not somewhere you want to get lost in. I am also assuming you have the correct system permissions, Anway this is what I did:
1. Go to start button and find (and run) REGEDIT.EXE
2. Rather than give you a specific path to follow, it is best to simply use REGEDIT to find the folder by clicking "Edit" then "Find".
3. You are looking for a folder called "SafeVersions".
4. When you find it, it may show a number of safe versions (previous loads of the player).
5. From the left window pane, right click on the aforementioned folder then click "Delete"
6. Respond to any prompts you might get, like, "do you want to do this..." etc.
7. Close down all applications in the normal manner and reboot.
8. When restarted, go back on line and download the V9 (or whatever version you want). You'll know its a good 'un as it loads in a fraction of the time.
9. Go back to your web page or whatever and, hey presto, everything is back to what it was before that hungry V10.n was uploaded.
Hope that helps, it might be nice if the Adobe uninstaller deleted this registry entry, but it doesn't - or at least in Win7 on my PC, it didn't.

"Restore previous session" always opens the first web site I opened on this new computer. It never changes no matter how many web sites I have opened over the past month.
It also opens the site which normally requires my user name and password to open.It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js [2] file and possible sessionstore-##.js [3] files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

Does anybody know how to bring back the status bar in Firefox 4 without having to install any addons? The reason why I ask is that for some reason, when Firefox 4 was made available to the general public to download, Firefox 4 was missing the status bar and also the save and quit message was turned off by default. I got the save and quit message turned back on but I just don't know if it's possible to bring back the status bar without any addons.
