BRING FIOS TO ZIP 11418 PLEASE

BRING FIOS TO {edited for privacy} PLEASE....i will pay all the costs!!!

If you're willing to pay the cost to get FiOS installed in that ZIP code, I think you're honestly better off buying and building out your own network, and selling Fiber-based Internet services out of it. You'll be able to recoup the costs that way. Unless of course, that isn't what you meant you were going to pay Verizon to do and pocket the money afterwards.
Long story short, I wouldn't expect FiOS to be built out anytime soon if it isn't already available in your Central Office or your town/city doesn't already have a TV Franchise or other agreement with Verizon. I'm not sure if that ZIP Code is specific to New York City as a whole, but Verizon does have agreements with the city to wire up everything by 2014. Expansion has pretty much been halted, with Verizon eyeing Fixed LTE as a replacement for Fiber cabling to the home. Not going to fly very well with me.

Please help us bring FiOS to houses without cable/internet in Dallas, TX 75212 on Jenny Dale Dr, Melinda Hills Dr, and Landrum Lakes Ct. My wife and I have been living in a new subdivision in West Dallas, TX since the summer of 2011. We did not do enough research regarding the area's cable/internet services and have been using DirecTV for cable and Clear 4G for internet. Interestingly enough, Time Warner Cable services all residences in this area except our small subdivision which includes Jenny Dale Dr, Melinda Hills Dr, and Landrum Lakes Ct. After several calls and service requests, it seems that TWC has no plans to extend service to this area in the near future. Please help us with this issue as all residents in this area would greatly benefit from high speed internet and premium cable service. Thank you for your time

This is a FiOS User Forum for technical advice and while I can understand your frustration, none of us can help you with Verizon.
Try to contact your local business office and see if there are any plans for your neighborhood.  Ask if you get enough neighbors to agree to sign up for service, you might be able to convince them.

  • Please bring Fios to Rochester, NY

The title is self-explanatory. Time Warner has decided to screw over their customers in Rochester, NY with a bandwidth cap. If there were any plans of expanding into the Rochester area, now would be the ideal time. The main alternative to Time Warner is Frontier, and they are an inadequate company.
    http://stopthecap.com/

I Let me add my name to those who are desperately wanting the Fios to come to Rochester.  I have friends in buffalo New York who have Fios and totally love it.  I have friends in Syracuse who sing its praises too.   Rochester is right in the middle. Please extend your service to those of us in Rochester.... and SOON!
Time warner has slow speeds and completely unreliable.  Now their extremely overpriced tiered and forced restrictions are causing people to jump ship from them in record numbers.   Unfortunately the only other option in Rochester is an even slower DSL.    If Verizon Fois came to Rochester- you would scoop up all of us who are dropping our services with Time warner.
There are petitons and newsletters circulating and almost everyone is saying that if Verizon Fois came to Rochester- they would all sign up.   Verizon has thousands upon thousands of people who are eagerly awaiting any sign of verizon offering Fois here.  You will recover your set up costs in no time.  You will offer massive competition to Time warner and you will win.  No one in their right mind would pay more for time warners forced restrictions and unreliable service if we had verizon Fios here.
It would be a very good business decision to offer services here and the sooner the better.  The sooner you do, the more people you will have.

  • Bring FIOS to Cypress, California

We are already wired for Verizon, we just want the fiber optics. According to my city public works, we were scheduled to get your services back in 2008! We are still waiting! Our whole area is held captive by the Time Warner Cable company, and extreme prices. My daughter lives two blocks from us and has your services, and they are outstanding! We try each year to contact different companies since we moved in our home in 1999. We finally ditched the cable services and went with Direct TV your partner for satellite television! We would love to have your phone and internet services! Please reconsider us, there is a huge demand for FIOS!

If you're willing to pay the cost to get FiOS installed in that ZIP code, I think you're honestly better off buying and building out your own network, and selling Fiber-based Internet services out of it. 2. like Photo booth, I can use various effects for video chat.
    3. File Sharing
    4. Screen Sharing
All of them are GONE. I am struggling to do without them. I am not happy with dropbox, i am not happy with Skype, camfrog, and ooVoo. I am not happy with join.me and no video effects using FaceTime.
Can you please bring them all back to iMessage or add iChat to Maverick. We need them SO BADLY!!
    Thanks

    Hi Linc,
    1. 3 ways Video Chat
    @Thatsmel.
    This is still there.
You need to enable the AIM or Jabber ID you used in iChat.
If you upgraded from Lion or Snow Leopard these may show already in System Preferences > Internet Accounts and needs Enabling for Messages.
They may also appear in Messages > Preferences > Accounts and need Enabling.
Otherwise use the + icon button under the list (iMessages and Bonjour) and Use the AOL one for AIM and "Other" to add other Jabber accounts than Google  (Use Google for Google an Yahoo for Yahoo)
You may remember the Yahoo account never Video/Audio Chatted.
Only the AIM (to AIM) and Jabber/Google (to Jabber/Google) will AV Chat.
Once this is added go to the Window Menu to display the "Buddies" in  one combined List
Now go to the General Section and Untick the line that "gather all accounts in to one list" (it only applies to Buddy list accounts).
This will separate the Buddy Lists into individual ones by login.
    Reminders.
GoogleTalk based on Google Mail IDs are Also Jabber Buddies.
Facebook also run a Jabber server (your Enable "Chat" on your Facebook settings and use the ID created)
Some Apple IDs (those ending in @mac.com plus @me.com and @icloud.com from icloud) are also AIM valid names if you keep the password to 16 characters or less

  • All links are bringing up same image. PLEASE help

I have had minimal problems working on GL CS2 version 8.0.1 on my Macbook Pro, and I really like the program. Now I have added a photo and it has an open new window action attached to it. (just like all my photos do). I uploaded the page and the new files with it to the FTP server. (same way I always have). Problem is, when I go online or check it with any browser on GL and I click any link or photo on that page, it brings up that photo I downloaded. It seems to have nothing different about it than the other photos and links, but it does this on all browsers and I can't figure out why. I looked through this and other forums with no help. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

aquavisionproductions.com---photography page--clouds4---3rd row down all the way right... any pic you click will bring up this image, and the one you clicked second. My home page was doing this too with an intro video.. but I thankfully haven't dowloaded that page yet. I'm afraid to update any pages now, in fear that this will keep happening.

  • Bring back the dead (features) please

I'm currently working on a large (>10G) studio recording for a cultural restoration, and I'm being driven to distraction by a couple of things that have been mentioned in passing in other forums/user areas. Because it's such an important piece of audio material, I have to work entirely manually, and the one repetitive task that I'm doing (800 so far today, and about 7,000 or so more) is the one feature that's missing from AA2/3.
These are small glitches in an otherwise great package (I'm not ******** about Adobe, I promise!), and they're so easily fixable even I could do it.
But just to put in black and white what I miss most from previous versions, and what I'd really like to see offered pr considered in future iterations:
    1) I need to be able to play preroll/selection/to end of file. Since the "Play from selection to EOF" has been taken out from AA2 onwards, I'm spending (wasting!) an enormous amount of time editing tiny transients, then scrolling back 1-3 seconds, then clicking to place the cursor, then pressing play to verify the repair and continue on to the next transient. Since my display window width is typically 1.1 - 3 seconds, and I work mainly in spectral view, this is extremely time-consuming and truly, truly annoying. Do this 500 times on a single recording, for 10-15 recordings per week, and it actually subtracts
    i hours
    from the work week!
Not everyone will use this, but some of us relied on this time-saving and practical feature and really miss it; and yes, it would probably need to be a configuration option, not just an extra context menu setting to confuse other users.
    2) Please, please, please fix the gui so the Adobe window controls library doesn't keep trashing everyone else's windows. Initially this seemed to be caused by a Microsoft mouse driver problem, but I've now tried a number of alternatives, and none of them work when Audition is running.
The workaround is to minimise Audition instead of working over the top, but that's not a fix, that's a workaround. I know everyone loves the pretty dimple controls and cute tabs and little x's, but they're non-standard, and they don't even work within Audition without snarfing normal windows controls up. (Try opening a save dialog when the underlying Audition toolbar suddenly paints itself over the dropdown controls. Or worse, when I'm about to drop an object in an unrelated application, Audition suddenly hiccups and paints over the other application's device context!)
This isn't a mouse driver compatibility issue, it's a bug in the implementation of the window controls library (MSVCL/MSVCR?) used by Adobe -
    i all
Adobe products suffer from it, and
    i only
Adobe products suffer from it, although they affect any other application using the same library. This is a bug in the way the Adobe applications use the library, not necessarily in the library itself. Why? Because all other applications that use the same library
    b don't
paint over one another's contexts. So it should be fixable by Adobe, and if so, please fix it!
    3) Please look at BWF/CART chunk "usability" improvements.
For example, it would be really useful to be able to instantly clear BWF/CART/RIFF text fields without having to manually clear them all (click, drag/ctrl-A, delete, next field) when preparing an audio file for downsampling and mastering. The RIFF text in some fields is preserved even when "Save non-audio data" is turned OFF during a save, so just saving without extra data isn't a practical workaround. And yes, that did happen in the few days I was able to test AA3, but I can't confirm it because AA3 won't allow me to finish trialing it.
On the same subject, some other small "usability" fixes to the metadata field tab order and the ability to preset reasonable defaults in some fields (for example, adding the current file length to the start cue to provide an accurate EOD cue instead of 2099-mm-dd would be a nice addition) would be much appreciated.
    Th

    >Since the "Play from selection to EOF" has been taken out from AA2 onwards...
Well, I don't understand this one at all, because nothing's been removed. There never has been a
selection to EOF option - it's always been cursor to EOF, and it's still there. All that has happened is that the play options have been expanded, not replaced. In 1.5, there were the first four options on the list, and in 2.0 they were added to.
As far as I'm concerned, what you want to do exists right now and works fine. Right-click on the play button, select 'play preroll, postroll and selection, and you can play through your edit perfectly - and in the options, set up just as much pre and postroll as you want. So if you use, say, the healing brush, then the extent of this becomes the 'selection', and you hear either side of it, and that's all. Is this what you want to be able to do?
Unfortunately (perhaps...), Adobe never, ever, discuss future plans for what to include with anybody. No, not even the beta testers. It's hard enough trying to get features altered so that they work sensibly, never mind trying to get new ones added. What happens is that Adobe looks at what is written in features forums (there are two sensible ones, here and at AudioMasters), and picks what they want out of them. And very occasionally David Johnson comes up with something totally amazing, usually a bit left-field, that nobody would have thought of in 1000 years, and that gets added too - probably because he's written all the code for it! And if there's anything in the aforementioned feature lists that coincides with what they want to do - well, that's a bonus, isn't it?
I don't mind this approach, because Audition does pretty much what I want it to do anyway - especially now that the crossfades have got sorted out - and hey, you get the occasional surprise. But in principle I agree with your plea for not removing existing features, or altering them out of all recognition; somebody somewhere was probably using them, and it will hack them off somewhat. There are three that come to my mind specifically here, but there may well be others as well. If it's any cause for hope I don't know, but
one of them has been put back; the play list option.

  • Bring Fios to Franklin Twp, NJ

All of the other towns around us have Fios... is there any kind of rollout schedule for NJ? Would really appreciate some answers as I am willing to switch over everything to Verizon (away from Comcast, which keeps getting progessively worse).

Fios is available in much of Franklin Township already, and has been for quite some time now.  It's not yet available on my street.  I've been checking the site for more than a year now and still no change.  I am dying to switch from Comcast, too!

  • Bring FiOS to my area!

Carroll County, MD wants FiOS!  There are very few high-speed internet options, and I refuse to give comcast any money!

I am on my second Actiontec 784MNV router....And yes, I do have a land-line also. I used to have horrendous static and line hum whenever it rains which is a lot in New Jersey. They have replaced the boots, some wiring, gone as far as a junction/routing whatever box a few blocks away, and while the servicemen have ALL been awesome and helpful, they CANNOT fix it for good. My internet average download speed  is about 2+ mps which is spotty at best. I was only told that my internet would be "high speed" internet and that I'd be really happy with it. This was when I first became a customer in Feb? 2012.  It goes out at least 4-5 times a week and has to be re-booted quite a bit. I've been given at least 4-5-6 excuses why I cannot get FIOS in my trailer park, and we cannot get satellite due to a lot of woods in the area. My Netflix constantly pauses to try and load a show or movie, and just stops loading alltogether more often than not. I've read a lot of articles where Verizon is slowing down the download speeds on Netflix, and my computer pages usually take 3-4-5 or more seconds to load a page. This is NOT highspeed anything. They are helpful-they send servicemen out, but until all the copper wiring is replaced with fiber optics, this problem will never go away. I DO understand somewhat how i'm limited by wiring and other factors that Verizon cannot control, but this was/and still is advertised as HIGH SPEED internet. My old dial up was faster than this system is some days. My only other choice is Comcast cable. I am tired of hearing empty promises from Verizon.

    Hello
You can give your pc ip address 192.168.132.X and connect directly with the management interface (no lag configured)
    Possible problems
->Management interface doesn't tag frames while switch does
Management Interface VLAN Identifier: xxx or put 0 and configure it as native vlan on the switch
--> LAG wrong configured on the switch --> ports down
Check if your etherchannel (LAG) on the switch is up
    Still not ok
    -> Default-gateway is wrong
