Bring master element to front....

If I have an image on the Master and I want it to be the front most object (i.e., on top of all other images associated with individual slides) the option to "Bring to Front" is grayed out. Any suggestions?

Make sure your masster slide has been set to allow objects on slide to layer with master
You will find this option when are using the Appearance inspector (which is the second from the left) and have a master slide selected.
You will not be able to alter a master slide object, it's placement or it's position relative to it's 'level' with other objects. You cannot even select it unless you are on a master slide (and most are locked on the master slide as well so they are not accidentally moved)
What you can do, however, is send other objects to the back when the slide has been set to allow objects to layer with the master slide.

Send to Back Puts Image Behind MASTER Elements

I have a full screen image on a master slide.
When I Send to Back an image on a slide using that master, it sends it behind the full screen image, effectively making it disappear.
It doesn't make any sense why master elements are "live" and part of this layering. I've tried locking elements on the master, but still no fix.
Any advice?

This is unusual in my experience. The reason you may want some master elements live as you call them is they may be screening or partially masking an image (photo) so need to be above it. Are you using your own master or a shipped/3rd party one? You can always bring your slide elements forward or backward one layer at a time Opt-Shift-Com-B or sent to back and then bring forward Opt-Shift-Com-F.

Bringing JPanel to the front!!

I am using an JInternalFrame with some components like JTextField, JComboBox etc. Also, I am having a JPanel with some components which is to be displayed within the bounds of the JInternalFrame. If the JPanel is displayed, its components are mingled with the JInternalFrame components. I dont need that. Is there any way to display only the JPanel components as bringing it to the front. Please do reply. Thanks in advance.

U are right. It is related to the Layout. Actually, I have set the Layout as null and specifically given the bounds for the components. What I need is that, I am having some components in a JFrame, with the same bounds I am displaying a JPanel with some components. But components of JFrame and JPanel are mingled with each other. But, I want to show only JPanel components on a button click by hiding JFrame's components and make JPanel components invisible on other button's click by hiding the JPanel's components. The point is that, I cannot make the JFrame's components invisible while showing JPanel's components. Is there any property to bring the JPanel front by hiding the others. Please do reply. thanks.

Why doesn't clicking on a Finder window always bring it to the front

Right now on my screen I have two Finder windows. One is partially covered by the other.
Clicking on the rear window does not bring it to the front. I've seen this happen many times already.
Why wouldn't it come to the front and cover the current front window?

Request you to let me know how can basis person helps in this.
If this is an existing system, the applications team (APO and BW) will not require much assistance from you. You can mostly sit back and watch them do all the work.
I suggest that you read the help link in its entirety provided by expert Datta. Much of the info there is helpful for both solutions.
For the APO interface (question 2 in your original post) there is a complete step-by-step guide provided by SAP. Check these two docs out.

If you are being asked to select from one of the two scenarios you outlined, the standard Core interface is by far the simpler to implement. Plus, it has the advantage that SAP will support you when something goes wrong.
The BW solution is different, in that the developer (you?) MUST have detailed specifications before he can proceed. Which master data? At what organizational levels? How often refreshed? What will be the ultimate use of the data, and how must it be stored? Where will it be stored? How to deal with inconsistencies? Etc etc. SAP support will only solve technical problems in your solution, they won't solve errors of design or logic, unless you happen to get a very accommodating support person when you raise your message.
But in case a basis person need to create RFC how can it be done for above scenario.
The instructions for creating all the RFC stuff is contained in the connectivity doc I cited above.

Forms Developer 4.5 - Bring display item to front at runtime

I have 10 square display items lined 2x5 to represent a rectangle shape on my form. The individual display items represent 10 positions on a pallet. Other display items are then used to represent an item that needs to placed onto a position on a pallet so affectivly your dragging a display item ontop of another display item.
My problem: It lets you drag the item onto it however it will not allow you to drag it back off. Even though it looks like your selecting the top item that is in focus, forms thinks your draggin the square behind it? How can I change the focus of display items at runtime?

Hi, unforunately the company I work for do not upgrade systems it would seem. The system is an old VAX running Oracle 7, the users interface to this is that old version of forms. I have successfully create one drag and drop interface for our users to make changes to the database however this one has different specification and in order for it to work I need to be able to place one display item on top of another. I have worked out how to do this and it works in a fashion however when dragged on top of the other display item it then disappears behind it. I need to bring it to the front at runtime... Any ideas?

I could not download books from Overdrive Media Console from my iMac desktop. I realized if I turned off iTunes Match in my iphone, it fixed the problem. I'm assuming you are talking about audiobooks and if so, just download all the parts in overdrive media console then locate them in your finder. Go into Itunes and go File > Add new files to Library. Go select all the mp3s and upload them onto your library. Sync your iPhone with it and that is what has worked for me Hope this helps!

i am looking at developing a front end tool where user will provide the required data and project name/wbes lement in the request. upon approval from project manager, sytem must creation requird WBE element in the requested project automatically. there will be multiple requests supplied to create wbes lements under the existing projects.

i have already have one 4th level wbes element like displayed below:

As the attachement showing, I have used the "bring to front" option. I also used "send to back" on the blue box. There is no text wrapping on.
For some reason my images and text now have green and red frames on them, they used to be blue I think, no clue why they changed, or what it means.

InDesign displays a different color for selection for different layers. Since you mention that you see some objects with green and some with red selection I am sure this is because your object lie on different layers. In this case an object on lower layer cannot be brought over an object lying on the layer above it. You can move the lower layer over the top layer or you can cut the object from lower layer and then select the layer on which your other object lies and 'paste in place' the object.
You can change the layers by opening the layers palette (Window>Layers)

Bringing AIR app to front

automatically to front when a certain event occurs.
In my case this is a LocalConnection event that I'm listening
to. I read through the LiveDocs
and came to the NativeApplication class an its "activate()"
method but I don't know how to
glue things together that it works as expected...

'activate' method which I invoke through the localconnection. My
class constructor get the NativeApplication object and stores it in
nativeApp. In the 'activate' method, I just do
nativeApp.activate ;
This seems to work. An issue that you may run into is that
there may not be an active window. I have code for minimize,
restore, maximize, etc. Here is a snippet to get the active window.

Bringing SubVI to the Front

I'm developing an interface for monitoring experiments but require a separate VI to control pump hardware. The problem is I implemented the pump VI as a subVi is called from the monitoring interface with a button press. After calling it, I want upon another button press to bring the pump VI to the front if opened, if not I'd like to reopen it.

here is a way. Make sure you have your subVI properties set to "open front panel when called" by pressing cntl+I -> window appearance. You only need one button with this. If the front panel is already open, it moves the fp to the front. If it's closed, it calls the VI.
Note that if you have error wires going into your subVI, it wont react to any front panel activity from your main front panel while it is open if you open it via this method because of data flow. It will wait for the error cluster to return from the subVI before anything else happens. If this is the case, you will need to dynamically call the VI using an invoke node and the Run VI method. You would then put that in the false case instead. Should be straight forward though. This should give you an idea at least.

How to bring the graph on front?

Dear all,
i am using 4-5 graphs on the front panel of my Vi on below the other.
On a button click, i am enlarging a particular graph by increasing its height and width. but when i enlarge it, the extended part hides behind the othere graphs on the panel.
Is there any way to bring that particualr graph to the front?

You can put the graphs on a Tab control. One tab for each graph. Programmatically switch tab is easy.
