Bring PO system status released back to created

Hi Gurus,
Is it possible to bring system status Released of Production Order back to created status?
Actually during release the system gave a message that Cpacity availability check could not be carried out due to configuration settings. But system allowed to release the order.
Now I have changed the the configuration setting in checking control so that capacity check is carried out during release. But since the order is already released , how will my changes take effect in the order?
Is it possible that I bring the order back to created status & then release it so that the changes made can take effect?

Use <b>Read PP Master data</b> function in the change mode of the order to revert the status of the order from Released to Created. From Menu bar: Functions--->Read PP Master Data
Prerequisite:
No Confirmation or Goods Movement should have been done against the order.

CR correction document status changes back to created

Hi Experts!
Does anyone of you know why in ChaRM CR Correction document the status of the document (controlled with Actions) switches back to "created" from status "In development". This switch happened to me several times when handling a normal correction and I don't know why it does that.
Usually I have done Action related task to the correction prior the status is swithced.
I've tried to look for a solution in the forum and in help docs but I haven't come accross any. Please don't get me wrong, I do get the full maintenance cycle working for normal corrections. This status change is more of an annoyance than an error.
We are using SolMan 4.0 SP09

Maintaining the systems status as release at the time of upload

Dear all,
While uploading the master data for Business Entity and Buildings I want to make the system status as release. How do we achieve this?
Also at the time uploading the contracts I want to make the system status of the contract as active. How can we do this at the time of upload.

Hi Vara,
I guess you are using the API_RE_* function modules for uploading the data. You can use these
APIs also to set the system status. You have to set the parameter ID_TRANS and provide the activity that sets the status (example: for system status "released" the activity BFRE, for activation of contracts the activity is MCAK).

WBS data distribution for IDOC-PI-JDBC with system status 'CRTD' not working.

Hello Experts,
I am busy with a project where the PS project creation and updates should be transfered to the external legacy system through IDOC-PI-JDBC scenario.
I am using the BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN for this process. This scenario is working fine with the projects system status released (REL).
If the system status is Created (CRTD) then no idoc creation happening therefor no data distribution of work breakdown structure(WBS) to the legacy system.
Can anybody give me some suggestion of make it happening.

I did it with the help of my abap developer.
We implemented a BADI, and from the BADI we created the idoc.
When the idoc is there the legacy system receive the data.

We can create a user status in status profile and attach it to transaction type, then why do we use system status ?

Hi Ashish,
User status are defined by the customer to define their business scenarios. So based on the business they can create status like Document Open (E001), In Transit (E002) etc. As you are aware that Status triggers the business flow in the SAP System. So based on a particular status the subsequent action will be followed. But how will SAP System know when to trigger the Billing, delivery and all the subsequent documents based on Customer Status Messages? So, to overcome this problem there is the concept of System Status like open (I001) etc which will help the system to keep track of the necessary actions. You can associate a System Status to User Status and hence you can trigger the business flow based on the status.

you can't revoke system status from REL to CRTD in sap ps. It's a std sap ps functionality.
just for information update to you in sap pp you can revoke production order system status from REL to CRTD on certain conditions.

Sorry to say that I am still unclear with the requirement.
When you say that users want to post cost to the WBS element, is it a direct Cost entry against the WBS or is it through GI/Service Enrtry and acceptance?
If it is through GI/Service Enrtry and acceptance, then no costs can be posted without the release of the WBS.

System Status of newly added project objects for a RELEASED Project.

During the course of execution of project, we may need to add new activities.
However, as the project is released, the newly added activtity or project object attains REL status.
How to ensure CRTD status for the newly created object so that can ensure subsequent release by Higher Authority.
I think user status may be useful here but i do not know how to set. Please suggest feasible solution.

Release status is PS pass on for PS Objects. So, Create two no. of Level one WBS Element in your PS Structure. One for which you want release that structure you create under that WBS and Second WBS don't Release and use the same leg for your created status structuring.
And do not Release Project Definition, Let it be max. PREL only, Till your structuring process is over.
I think User status cannot help you in this case. ( Because user status reside between the System Status )

When releasing Billing, system prompted no accouting document created

Dear SAP Guru and Experts.
Currently user is hitting the error when the Billing is released. The system prompted "no accounting document created". It is understood from the log VFX3 where the G/L code is not maintained in the company code.
My question is that what is the configuration need to be concern when the accounting document created it trigger the input tax G/L code. Is there any configuration need to be done in order to tackle the input tax issue other than keep on creating the new g/l code in the company code.

Hello,
You can try to release the document using VF02 (click the Green flag), the system will give the exact message.
Check you pricing procedure, whether the account key is maintined for tax condition type or not.
Check the account determination settings in VKOA, make sure the G/L accounts are maintined for the conditions.
Check the customer master and make sure the Reconcilation account is maintined or not.

SAP Kernel release - Difference between SM51 and System- Status ?

Dear SDN colleagues,
I am a ABAP developer, and have been told by our Basis department that our SAP Kernel is 640.
When I check the following, I get different values:
1) System -> Status : SAP_BASIS is 620
2) Transaction SM51 -> Release Notes: I see SAP R/3 Kernel 640_REL
Can anyone explain why there is a difference in these informations? (and which is the correct one !)

First of all there is nothing to be "implemented" as per the note.
Additionally the poor basis guy is saying the correct thing. Check this part:
Solution
The changes are activated with the following patch levels:
4.6D : 1495
6.20 : 764
The paging administration was enhanced.
The error is no longer passed on to other sessions and the trace outputs to determine the error cause have been improved.
The patch levels mentioned are kernel patch levels and have nothing to do with your SAP_BASIS release.Since your kernel is 640 this note is no longer applicable. In my opinion you need to dig for some other note.
