Bringing apps from 10.4.6 into 10.4.7
I recently bought a refurbished g5 1.8 dual that came loaded with 10.4.7 and no discs. I have discs for 10.4.6 and want to load some applications such as Garageband and Imovie. How can I get to these apps on the 10.4.6 discs without installing everything?

First off, contact the seller. They can't hold on to the disks. The disks are licensed for use with that machine only. If they lost the disks, they need to contact AppleCare to ask for replacement disks. You'll find those disks are useful in troubleshooting issues. See my FAQ on:

Secondly, the 10.4.6 disks you have will not work with that machine unless they are for an identical Mac model, or they are the retail disks and the retail disks are newer than that Mac:

The 10.4 retail disks are black with white and gray X logo. The gray system specific disks only work on the Mac model they came with.

Error installing (replacing) an app from Dev to Prod
Today I made a few changes to my development app. Exported the app from Dev and importing into Production (replacing the app).
I made a few basic page changes, modified an Application Process, and modified a few Interactive Reports.

The dev and prod workspaces are on separate machines.When importing, did you keep the application ID? What happens if you choose a brand new ID (if that's an option, of course)?

How do I download apps from another itunes account into my new itunes account using my iPhone?
Apps bought using one Apple ID are forever tied to that Apple ID and cannot be merged or transfered to another AppleID.

Eg, the phone automatically brings up an old (defunct) AppleID account login every time I try to update my Apps. I don't know the pword for this account, nor does it have current data about me.
But when I go to settings: store it shows me logged into the correct account.
I have already tried:
logging out and logging back in
downloading a new App from within AppStore (in that case it doesn't ask me for my password or bring up the old AppleID)
Syncing the phone, confirming that I have the right AppleID account set up on iTunes
I don't want to have to delete all my paid apps just because I downloaded them long ago with an older Apple ID.

I can't find any solution. I don't even remember when I changed my apple ID! So does that means I cant recovered my purchased apps from my " old" account? I am totally innocent, for I did not intend to "Change" my account name -

Thanks.You make it sound like apps are disappearing from your iPad and uploading to iCloud. That's not how it works. Maybe somebody (or you) deleted the apps and you don't realize it.
You cannot prevent apps from being stored in iCloud. That is one of the reasons for using iCloud. It will store all of your purchased apps and you will be able to download them if you delete them, or if you buy another device that you want to use the apps on.
If you have apps that are in iCloud, just go to the Purchased Tab in the app store, tap on the Not on this iPad button at the top. Look for any of the apps that you want to download and then tap the cloud icon in order to download them to the iPad. You access your iCloud storage in the purchased tabs of the different stores or in the apps themselves. Any data that is being backed up in iCloud is on the device in the corresponding apps and you don't need to access that data in iCloud. It's at your fingertips already,
Purchased apps do NOT count against your iCloud storage. If you have 60GB of apps, they do not take up the alloted 5GB of free storage that you get. The app data would count against the storage but not the apps themselves. -

I'm using iTunes 11.0.2 on my Macbook Air running Lion, to sync with my iPhone 5. With this latest release of iTunes, there's no option to uncheck syncing of apps. For a while now, iTunes have been working fine- it didn't sync apps from my iPhone to my Mac... until this morning. I only have Podcasts sync checked and every day, I just plug in my iPhone and click Sync and it worked great- it only copied my podcasts to the phone.
Today, I did the same thing- downloaded new podcasts, plugged in my phone, and clicked Sync. It backed up my data, copied my podcasts, and THEN it starts to copy all the apps from my iPhone into my Mac. This is the first time it's doing this- I'm sure the team removed that feature from this latest iTunes and I think this is a bug. I unchecked the Apps checkbox from Library in Preferences- I click sync, and again it starts to sync all the apps, AND the Apps checkbox becomes checked again.
I've restarted iTunes many times and rebooted, didn't work.I have the same problem on both my iPad and my iPhone and it also started with iTunes 10.0.2.

No. You configure your new one to use the same Apple ID. Then re-download from iTunes:

I have an ipad I used with a computer which's now broken. I bought a new Macbook Pro and signed into iTunes with my usual Apple id and pw. I connected my ipad to the new Macbook but it won't back up my photos or Apps from the ipad to the new macbook. Help
What do you mean " back up my photos or Apps"?
The photo sync is one way - computer to ipad.
You can transfer itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
Copy everything from your backup copy of your old computer to your new one. -

What can I do to get back to a point that I can directly purchase Apps from my itouch via wi-fi. I was able to before I purchased an app on my PC and loaded it into the device via the sync cable. My itouch 2G was bought 2nd hand, so when trying to get Apple support I was unable to register my device because I didn't know it's original purchase date. Note: I am still able to download the apps to my computer and load/sync them into the device.

I want to create a bootable USB drive for Yosemite. The support site suggests to ""Download the OS X Installer app from the Mac App Store" prior the creation. But where to find it in the App store? Any search combination does not bring a meaningful result....

Cannot import vcards into Contacts app from either iPhone or iCloud
Hi all:
My Contacts app is not working. I have no contacts in it after upgrading to Mavericks. The contacts are present on my iPhone and on my iCloud account. When I try to import vcards from iCloud into Contacts, an error message says that there were problems importing the vCards. When I attempt to sync the iPhone, none of the Contacts show up in the Contacts app.
I have reinstalled the Contacts app from the original Mavericks disk. I have attempted multiple third-party solutions. Nothing thus far has resolved the problems with my Contacts app, which as of this writing still contains 0 contacts.

None of the above resolved the problem.
I noticed something interesting, however: when I attempt to import contacts to my MacBook from iCloud, from DiskAid, or from an app called MCBackup, the Contacts App on the Macbook asks if I want to import Xnumber of cards. It displays two buttons, "Cancel" and "OK." I can click the OK button all day long, and nothing happens. The only viable button is Cancel.
As to reinstalling Mavericks, I have. I've been encountering this problem for the last two months. About a month ago, I re-downloaded a fresh installer and reinstalled. It didn't change anything, and I am loath to go through that hassle again.
More recently, as I mentioned in the OP, I reinstalled the contacts app by itself. It behaves the same way it always has, i.e, not at all working.
