Bringing Excel Sheet into AI CS3 and having names placed accordingly.

Okay, I need to print some inserts with each one having a different name (4 up on an 8.5x11 sheet). I have an Excel sheet with the 200+ names in order and I need to place them into my artwork in a specific place , with a specific font and size (each insert is the same, just different name). These have to be printed on a deskjet printer as these inserts have to bleed and cannot be run through any other type of printer due to the material.
I have went back and forth with our IT guy and the best we can do at this point is to run each sheet through the printer twice, printing artwork 1st then the names via pdf (as the IT guy can take the Excel sheet and arrange the names, etc and save as pdf).
I am sticking with the above flow this time, but there will be more of these to come in the future. So, is there an easier way to do this?
I have tried ID, PDF, Word which cannot do the bleed, Even Avery DesignPro (as that's what my IT guy usually uses)...and I am not seeing an easier way to do this at this point.

The .xml file didn't work. Your link above does not work and I know nothing about scripts so this is like chinese to me. And I will search on the "data-driven graphics" later.
I have the bleed issue worked out as that is why this has to be printed from AI, Acrobat, or ID. I have and could do this very easily using MS Word if not for the bleed (which Word is not allowing). The Excel list of names was created into a pdf using either Word or Avery DesignPro by my IT guy.
I would like to keep this in AI format if possible. But I have looked into combining the layout design page with the names page in Acrobat with no luck, I would think that merging 2 pages into 1 would not be that big of an issue but apparently it is.
I tried creating an action in AI but since it is a multipage pdf it is not working out so well.
I can use what I have now, but the paper I must print on is 'seeded paper' and can only be done on a deskjet. And having the art file and the names list on 2 separate documents creates more hassle as the paper is thick with some inconsistencies and I really would like to be able to run it through the printer only once. (For those that don't know, 'seeded paper' is hand made recycled paper and contains wildflower seeds).

I can be done in 2 ways.
1. Using LSMW you can upload your MD61 demand thru Excel sheet.
2. You can use BDC to upload the demand from Excel. For this you need to take help from the ABAP. You need to record the macro usinf SHDB and the table maintenance will be taken care by the developer.
For LSMW you need not depend on your developer, as a functional consultant you can do it yourself.

I want to upload data existing in Excel sheet into SAP. Is there any possibility with the following requirements?
1) Excel file contains serial numbers with different values.Like power(230Wp),Voc,Isc,Vmp and Imp.
2) We need to upload the same data into SAP with validations.
3) Validations are like no serial number should be repeated.
4) And depending on the Power value, the serial number should be assigned to different batches.Eg:The batches are as follows:
     201 - 210
     210 - 220
     220 - 230
   and if the Pmax of the serial number is 205.It should be assigned to batch 201 - 210 .
5) At present we are using MB31 to post the serial numbers which are existing in the flat file.

How i can load excel sheet into a table in oracle through pl/sql procedure or a pl/sql block. Excel sheet is saved on my c or d drive on my machine. In xls format.

Depending on how big your spreadsheet is and how frequently you want to do this you might want to contruct insert statements in excel, then run these. I have done this to load a few hundred rows for a one off test on dev.
e.g. if you have values 1 and 'a' in you spread sheet and want to insert them in to table xxx col1 & 2:

|1 |col1   |col2   |
|2 |      1|a      |="insert into xxx ("&$A$1&","&B1&") values ("&A2&",'"&B2&"');"then paste the contents of colum C

Difference between CS3 and CS4 when placing images, percentage not kept

There is some kind of difference between CS3 and CS4 when placing images. The images I've dealt with right now were vector images but it might apply to all kinds of images.
When replacing an existing image, the CS4 behaviour is to let the image fill up the frame. In CS3 the percentage was set to 100% as default (the % you see when selecting the image, not the container).
Also when replacing an impage in CS4, the "inner" image frame is kept, while in C3, the percentage was kept.
Is there some kind of placement preferences / settings to let CS4 act the same wat as CS3 did, when placing an image?

Yes, the behavior was changed in CS4 (and many users, like me, prefer the new system).
If you click and drag a loaded image place cursor the entire image will be be scaled to fit the proportionally drawn frame -- a huge timesaver if you mostly place uncropped art. If you want 100% of the image at 100% scale, just click and release -- same as before, or as before you can pre-draw a frame and place into it and your image will come in cropped at 100% (unless you've changed the fitting options for the frame before placing).

It should ask the user for file name to save it on their own name. They should give the file name in runtime and it should be downloaded into an excel sheet.

How do i import data in an Excel sheet into an Oracle Database table

I know one way to do is to convert the data into a text file and then use Sqlldr to load the data into the DB.
Is there any other easy way, like directly connecting to the DB from Excel sheet itself. Any links to this wud be greatly helpful.

Importing multiple excel sheets into DIAdem

Hello,
I have an Excel file with multiple sheets. I am trying to import data from cells on each sheet into DIAdem. I am capable of importing anything I want so far using a VBS Script, but only from one sheet at a time. In order to import from another sheet, I have to select that sheet on Excel, save the file and close it. Then the next time the file is accessed by DIAdem, it will open on the sheet that was last saved on.
Is there a way I can create a VBS file that would check if there are any other sheets on the same file, move to a different sheet and import data from it? I am thinking some kind of IF statement that would realize when the last row from a sheet was imported, and then move on to the next sheet.
Any ideas/comments/suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

The GroupDefaultSet() command changes the default group, but that only affects ADDITIONS to the Data Portal after that point, such as new FormulaCalculation channels, excerpted section channels from VIEW, new ANALYSIS channels from an FFT calculation, etc.
If you want to reference channels of the same name from multiple groups, and you have DIAdem 9.x, you can use the [GroupName]/[ChannelName] adressing scheme to query off the "Time" channel from multiple groups. If you have DIAdem 9.1, then you can also use the [GroupIndex]/[ChannelName], [GroupName]/[ChannelIndex], or {GroupIndex]/[ChannelIndex] adressing options. For example:

SQL Loader is command line and it needs to be installed with SQL PLUS (The wrong install type will not have it)

Can I put an Excel sheet on my iPad and iPhone and update it ?

I'm fairly new to Mac computers.
We have a new Imac OS X Version 10.7.4 and we also have an Ipad 2 OS X Version 5.1.1
I have an Iphone 4S.
My question is can I put a Word Excel sheet from my main computer onto my Ipad and Iphone and update them when away from home.
I would then want to sync the updated work back onto the main computer when i return home.
Is that possible ?

You can upload some types of Excel spreadsheets to the cloud using the iWork feature on the iCloud.com website, by dragging and dropping from your computer desktop.
Once in the cloud, the document will be converted to a numbers document when opened on an iOS device, where you can make changes and save the document back to the cloud. When you come to require the document on your computer again, you will be able to download it from the iCloud.com website in one of three formats (numbers, Excel, PDF).

Unable to load excel sheet into oracle

Can somebody help me...
I just want to load data records from MS Excel spreadsheet into Oracle table without converting that MS Excel file,
my ENV: Linux (centos 5.4 + Oracle EE 11gR2)
here what I did:
-ODBC-Conf on MS
create a system DSN 'odbc_excel' => OK
-Create HS initialization File => OK

thanks for the respond Werner, that seems to be the most tricky part (ODBC-Conf@Linux)
the driver should be available:
