Bringing pdf documents together?

Hello my name is Ian. I have a number of documents (from different sources) I have printed to pdf. Can I bring them all together in one pdf document to make it easy for my recipient to read and ensure they view in the right order?

Merging 2 PDF documents together causes WINWORD.EXE to crash

When merging 2 pdf files together, it will work 1 out of 3 times. It seems to use WINWORD.EXE to merge the two files together with the help of the PDFMarkerAPI.dll add in. The current version of Acrobat we are using is 11.0.10.32.
The event viewer reports the following application error when the error occurs;

I have updated Adobe Acrobat to the latest version and performed a repair on the entire Microsoft Office 2013 suite.

It turned out to be the Graphics Driver. Updated it and the problem has gone away. Who would have thought?

Something to try - use Acrobat to extract small page counts (say 10 pages) to have smaller page size PDF files. Export these to Word files. Then bring those together.

Import multiple records into a PDF document?

I'm not sure I'm using the correct terms, but let me spell out my problem.
I have a PDF document with several text forms named with the same names as columns in an Excel spreadsheet saved into txt format.
The forms are duplicated onto several pages so if there are five records in the spreadsheet, there are five pages in the PDF.
I am able to open the PDF and choose Import Form Data and point to the Excel txt file.
But in the Import Data from Delimited Text File dialog box, I am only able to choose one record at a time.
I was hoping to be able to import multiple records onto multiple pages. This way I could do a bulk printing of the spreadsheet data into the PDF. But doing one record at a time is cumbersome and won't work as we expand the project.
Any clues as to how to do this better?

I don't have the actual client's data as that is proprietary.
I do have two silly little test files that I put together, but I think you've answered my question.
I've already told the client to use Word (gasp) and Excel with a mail merge and then export to PDF or print directly.
Ironically this could have also been done with InDesign.
But as much as I had to recommend Word, it was nice that the client started out by wanting PDF.

I did try using the printParams feature and it worked, but since I need to be able to print sets of non-consecutive pages, I end up having to bring up the print dialogue multiple times and have the user set watermarks each time.
I decided to just create a new pdf in a temp directory containing the selected pages and open this document in a new window. This works well and allows them to use the print button on the window to print, bringing up the print dialogue just once. However, since I need to open the document in a way that shows the print button, I am using OpenInWindowEx, with AV_DOC_VIEW, and the option PDUseBookmarks or PDUseThumbs, rather than PDUseNone. This displays a toolbar which also includes icons for creating a new pdf, deleting pages, etc. I do not really want to include these icons on the toolbar. Is there a way to remove unwanted icons from the toolbar, or make them invisible?

It could be that the PDF file you're converting was created using a third-party application, and it doesn't contain all the information necessary to ensure a clean conversion. Have you had similar troubles converting other PDF files?

Pdf file is not at the desktop to attach using GOS.
Pdf file is at Document Management System, requirement is to attach it to the sales order item.
Note: DMS file can be always allowed to attach at item level.Please dont bring GOS concept here.
It can be done manually via VA02 --> Extras --> Documents.
I need to automate the above process.

Adobe Reader on iOS works differently than on the PC. On the PC, it installs a browser plug-in that is used to render the PDF document in the web page (or open the PDF document in the Adobe Reader application). On iOS, it simply installs the Adobe Reader app, but no browser plug-in.
Based on the information you've provided, it sounds like the Salesforce web site is trying to detect whether the browser plug-in is installed on iOS (which it never will be), and then prompting you to install Adobe Reader. Instead, the web site should realize that you're browsing on an iPad using Safari, and just display the PDF in a new tab, or in the current tab.
Is there an alternate link on the Salesforce web page to download the PDF file instead of display it? (The link may be much smaller, or offscreen requiring you to scroll right or left.) A download link should actually do the correct thing and display the PDF in Safari once the file is downloaded.
Once you're viewing the PDF in Safari, a black translucent bar appears for about 3 seconds at the top of the tab that will have an "Open in <AppName>" button, or that button plus an "Open..." button (if you have multiple apps that can view PDF documents). Tap one of those buttons to open the PDF document in another app.
If the black translucent bar disappears, just tap anywhere on the PDF document (other than a link) to bring it back.

ill try to explain this as clearly as i can.
i have got a 2 page pdf document, that has data on both sides.
i need it to be 4 A5 pages at the front and back, so it folds neatly together.
so currently it prints like an duplex A4 page, and i just wondering how i can change it to be more like the flyer i have in mind.

You may have to crop pages to get the effect that you want. If you have the original, it would probably be easier to edit that and create a new PDF.

By default, " - Copy" (in your UI language) will be appended to the original file name. You can change the file name to something else, if you'd like.

That states that the PDF touch app doesnt support printing which is a technically true as it doesnt have a button/option to print from the app but doing a crtl-p (this is on a full PC version of win8 not RT) brings up the print dialogue and its prints fine.

Printing a pdf document, which is contained in a XString

My problem is simple. I'm getting a pdf document from our archive. From the archive-interface I get this document in a XString. This all happens through a Transaction on a windows-client, connected to the SAP-System via SAP-Logon-Pad. Now, I simply want to print this pdf on the local printer of the windows client.
Is there any fm, report, method or whatever to do this from ABAP without any further manual work?

well not really. Currently we're trying a workaround. We are using the windows copy-command -> copy <filename> <printername>. You can use this command via SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE if you've customized it in the sm69. But we couldn't use the command directly, but had to wrap it in a batch-file.
The printername can be found in the table TSP03, if the printer is set in the transaction SPAD.
If you want to print the pdf on the presentation-client this way doesn't work, because you can not use the copy command and you don't know the name of the printer. At this point, we have the idea to use a VB-script on the clinet, which does the printing. You can execute this script via the class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES . You can also use this class to bring the pdf-files on the client. At least, that's the plan
This is all information as far as I know it. It's at last limited, but all I can say at this moment. I'm still open to recommendations.

Problem with linking PDF documents using named destinations

Linking from one PDF document to another PDF document using named destinations viewed in Reader works great but once the documents are viewed inside a browser environment the link will only open the go to document and will not go to the named destination.
If I make the links using the page number - yes they will work perfectly in the browser. But my problem is that the documents may change in the future and the links may be on differnt pages, so I need to use named destinations to bring me to the page of the PDF they are on.
Any suggestions? I need them to work in IE.

You can link to a named destination with a URL. This might work better in
your case... To do it use the following format:
http://example.org/doc.pdf#nameddest=Chapter6
