Bringing photo closer together and removing space in the middle
I took a one-day course on Photoshop with NAPP and the instructor was showing us how to bring a photo closer together where the objects are closer but it doesn't distort the photo. I don't remember how to do that. Can anyone help? Thanks, Diane
You need CS4 and it's called: Edit > Content Aware Scale.

I take many photos of mundane things that I simply want to remember, such as serial number of products. I would like to save these photos for viewing, but I don't want them to appear in my camera roll, where I have to continuously scroll through many such photos to get to the ones that I want to view there.
I know that Apple has a "hide" feature, but it doesn't actually do anything. When I press-and-hold on individual photos, the photos stay in the camera roll: they aren't hidden at all. It's not clear what the purpose of this function is at all.You don't do this, as the photos are in the camera roll. That is where they live. When you make an album you are simply making a list of pointer to your photos in camera roll.
If you remove them from the camera roll, then they are gone.
Photos in albums are not in two places. They are in only one place, the camera roll. The album merely contains pointers to those pics, so that you can categorize them however you like.
You should be importing these pics to your computer. I find it far easier to organize my photos on my computer, then sync them to the iPhone. -

First off it would be good to learn how to use iPhoto - editing is one of the most basic operations - what version of iPhoto do you have? Have you watched the videos and looked in Help?
In general you select the photo can click edit - to straighten you use the "Straighten tool" - to remove areas around the photo you use the "crop tool"

I am unable to access my mail account on my iphone, which I have been able to do previously. I press the mail icon, the page refreshes to the mail format page - blue bar top and bottom, white text space in the middle.... and that is as far as it goes. It does not list my email accounts or offer any.
Close the mail app, double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.

I have reinstalled Mac OSX 10.6.3 and done the updates from there.
I have reinstalled ilife 11 from disk and done the updates.
I have deleted all the suggested files and then redone install and updates.
I have tried just reinstalling iphoto and doing updates.
Is there any way to get a replacement - /Library/Frameworks/iLifeSlideshow.framework/Versions/A/iLifeSlideshow

I did everything lllaass suggested and removed most of the itunes related components, but when I tried to remove itunes, I got the message, "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" so I was not able to uninstall it.
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page).

Here's a screenshot showing the particular links on the page that you should be clicking:
After clicking one of the circled links, you should be taken to another page, and after a few seconds you should see a download dialog appear for the msicuu2.exe file. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like for me in Firefox:
Choose to Save the file. If the dialog box does not appear for you, click the link on the page that says "CLICK HERE IF IT DOES NOT". Here's a screenshot of the page with the relevant link circled:
When the dialog appears, choose to save the file.
(2) Go to the Downloads area for your Web browser. Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -

aim trying to put 2 audio clips together and you can hear the unnatural break. Is there a transition I can insert to cover it up. Kind of like we do with video clips? Like an overlay? Thank you
You could put the two clips on two different tracks with a slide overlap and fade the first clip out out and the second clip in.
Or trim both clips in a way, that the first clip ens with silence and the second clip starts with silence. -

1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary. -
when i plug my ipod in it says ipod cant be read cuz the apple mobile device is not started.And i went to services and apple mobile device properties and start stops in the middle.and its on automatic.and there isnt a stop button.when i click start it says the apple mobile device services stopped in the middle then stopped.it said some services stop in the middle if not used by other services.and i just updated itunes before all a this and ever since ive had errors.

I purchased an album from itunes, and a song in the middle did not download completely. All the others did. So, I obviously could not transfer that song to my ipod because the file could not be converted. What can I do?
