Bringing photo labels into photo book

I spent a good deal of time labeling over 350 photos, and then went to create a book to order. TheI do not want to re-enter all this information- is there a layout that allows you to bring the labels in?

is there a layout that allows you to bring the labels in?
Not that I remember - Liz Castro has done a great job of documenting the layouts of the available iPhoto '08 themes - take a look through them

  • Inserting panoramic photo's into iPhoto book

I'm creating a new photo book in iPhoto (9.5.1) and I now find there's now no longer an option to add panoramic photos.
I have been able to do this on 2 previous photo books.

Assuming you've imported the panoramic photo from your iPhone into the iPhoto library and added it to your book do the following:
Just drag the photo from the photo tray at the right in the book mode into the frame on the page:
Control (right) - click on the image and select Fit Photo to Frame Size (not all themes offer that option).
    which will give your this:
depending on the page layout option you've chosen.

  • Non photo images into photo book

Can I drop a non photo image from the internet into a photo book (a cartoon picture for example)?  I have tried saving the image to iPhoto but then can not seem to drag it into the frame in the book.

It depends on the format of that the image is saved in. Jpegs no problem, other formats there may or may not be.
That said, Apple may baulk at printing images that you do not have copyright on.

  • How to put photo albums into photo stream on ipad?

trying to put photos from my ipad into newly bought mac book using photo stream, because the ipad is synced with another computer. How to do it? or is there a better way (without all the copying to CDs)?

  • Can I bypass Iphoto and place my photos directly into Photo Elements 4

I take pictures with a Nikon D200 and I set the camera to shoot in JPEG and Raw at the same time. I would like to work with the Raw in Photo elements 4 and use my Iphoto for email. Is there a way to transfer photos directly from my camera to Elements and bypass Iphoto? It just seems as if it is a real task to export Raw images from Iphoto to Elements.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Use Image Capture by itself, turn off its preference to "Open iPhoto Automatically" Import the photos you want to go into iPhoto into another folder and then you can import them into iPhoto.
You can also use the software that came with the Nikon to download the photos to a folder.
If your camera mounts onto the desktop, you can simply drag the photos to where you want them. Set the Image Capture preference to not do anything when you plug in the camera.
You can also get a card reader that will mount directly to the desktop.
    Are these enough options?
IMHO, unless PSE4 does RAW conversion much better than Apple, I would just import a single RAW into iPhoto and work with them from there. It seems to me that you will have a lot of pictures in various places on your computer.
And have more room on your card! 8^)

  • Drag and drop photo files into photo lab website for uploading photos, worked in old version but not in new version.

drag and drop ability not available in new version. I am trying to upload a large number of photo file to an online photo site for processing and the drag and drop does not work it did on the old version.

Nothing to be fixed. Just a little learning for you.
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:   You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps.  If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
For users of 10.6 and later:  You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation  which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
    Other options include:
Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
Show File:  a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier:  Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.    3.b.
b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

  • HT204655 How do I get my albums from i photo into photo

Converted my i photo pics to photo but albums didn't convert over.  How do I get my I photo albums into photo? Also what happened to events?

Problem solved thanks to visit to Apple store.  By the time I went into the Apple Store I thought I knew what happened, but couldn't re import. When I imported my photos to photos I had two files to choose from and evidently picked the wrong one.  Going into finder I could see both files, but they were'nt highlighted so I couldn't import the other file.  The guy at the Apple Store suggested to hit the option and photo on the dock at the same time to see if I could not bring up the other file.  If that didn't work he said to go to finder and hold control while clicking on picture.  The last method is what ended up working and then I was able to import the other file. Bingo, the side bar now shows events from I Photo and the Albums.

  • Importing 2 icloud photo streams into iPhoto

    Just as the title states..
My wife and I just started our own seperate iCloud accounts and now it seems like we can't combine them in iPhoto.  Before we used one account and pictures were seamlessly across all devices, and now since iOS 8 and continuity out personal iPhones are more connected than we want.  So is there a way to get her photo's and my photo's into photo stream without creating a special album were we have to share them to it and the photo's automatically show up in the iCloud section?
    Thanks for any help!

thank you.  so in order to optimize my HDD usage, I ought to import the photo into iPhoto and then delete the original folder?
Yes, you can delete the files you imported. But don't be in a hurry. I'd back them up somewhere, until you are sure that everything imported well.
last - is there any meta-tagging option in iPhoto?
    You can
batch change titles, date, and description,
    add keywords
    tag faces
and tag places on a map.

  • Import photos into photo booth

    Hello,
I just upgraded to Leopard by doing an erase and install (wanted a fresh start). I manually backed up all the photos in my Photo Booth folder and the recents.plist file also.
Now I was to add those photos back into Photo Booth in Leopard. I know you used to be able to edit the Recents.plist file, but the new Photo Booth does not seem to make this file. Anyone have an idea of how I can import my backed up photos into Photo Booth?

Ah, just figured it out. The Recents.plist file is now located in /Users/~/Library/Application Support/Photo Booth/
For some reason when I did a spotlight search for Recents.plist, that folder didn't come up so I assumed Photo Booth was no longer using Recents.plist to hold the list of photos.
    Thanks!

  • I have Photoshop CS 6 on my computer.  I want to bring a series of photos together into one image wi

I have Photoshop CS 6 on my Mac computer.  I want to bring a series of photos together into one image without any space between images, does anyone know how to this?  Ideally I would like to this manually.
The reason I ask in my ealier verion of Photoshop, CS3, there was a manual alignment  feature when using 'Photo Merge' feature, undr which you could manual alignment photographs if you wanted to, and I do in this instance.  This feature was removed in subsequent versions of Photoshop CS 4,5, and 6.

Sean, Batch resize them all to the samne size, load as layers, increase Canvas size, and the layers will 'snap' together with the Move tool.  You'll be able to use the alignment tools in the Options bar when the Move tool is selected.  You will also be able to use the 'Auto select layer' feature in the Options bar to make it easier grabing the right layer.
Otherwise, get hold of Contact Sheet 2. Still resize all the images to the same size, and set the gap to zero, and turn titles off.  Please note this is from memory, and it is years sonce I last used Contact Sheet.

Control (right) - click on the photo in the frame and select Fit to Frame Size in the contextual menu.
Here's an extreme example of that:

  • Problem Dragging a photo into a BOOK project

I did this last week. But now I can't seem to drag a photo out of one album into a book album so that I can add this photo to the book during the layout process. There doesn't seem to be a work-around for this. When I called Apple, they wanted $199.00 to help me trouble-shoot this. Anyone have any ideas how I could fix this or make this work?

I hope I have the right context: Ruscle is correct, but you have another option. If its not the pick of the stack, you can designate a non-pick as an "album pick". It should work for the book you are working on from then on. Go to the Stack menu and select Album Pick. See example here (scroll about halfway down - look for the "Non-Pick Images" error window):

  • Order of photos into a book

I have 400 photos I wish to import into a book. The max pages pf a book is 100. I wish to design the pages and then import the phots in a pre arranged order to save time. Is this possible?  have done the following. I have used autoflow and it does not import all the pics. It does howvere not appear to import the pics in the order I created in the album I imported from.I have then editted the pages and then deleted all pics and the book defaults back to a 20 page document?

Gary, the post from kswbird at the bottom of the following thread may be of help in your aim to preserve the photo order:

Not much you can do.  You overwrote your current data with older data when you restored the phone from that backup.  Your data's gone.
