Bringing up "apps running" widget screen

I've seen people bring up a huuge version of the apps bar on their screen (of the apps they're running), switching from app to app on the fly....what's the key command for that please?

Command-Tab and Command-Shift-Tab are the key commands. One cycles the app choice in one direction with successive strokes, the other cycles in the opposite direction.
You can also hold the Command key down to keep the popup on screen, then use the mouse or arrow keys to select the one you want active.

IPod touch with 4.2.1, double click home does not bring up Apps running?

Clicking the home button twice on my iPad brings up running apps. Not on my iPod touch, should it?
I also noticed my touch no longer rotates the screen? Maybe it's locked?
In General settings, under the Home button settings, I only have Home, Search, iPod.
I also have the dreaded battery drain.

I'm running the SiriusXM app to stream music but I don't want the screen to keep after I choose my station. Does anyone know of a way to blank the screen? Is there a setting so when there is no touch activity it goes blank?
Also If you switch tabs it won't keep running the music in the background? I have a choice tunes or surf but not both?

You should be able to just tap the power button to turn off the screen. The app should keep running just fine.
If it doesn't, that's a problem with the app. I also have a music app in the Android Market and it is possible for the programmer to grab what are called "sleep locks" to enable the screen to be turned off without losing required resources like WiFi and the CPU. My app lets the screen dim, but not go off... however, the user can turn the screen off and the app keeps working.

Hi Gurus,
I m trying to process noted items in APP - tcode-F110, where i have entered 3 down payment requests Rs 5000/-, Rs 10000/- & Rs 8000/- out of which i have made the payment for Rs 5000 & Rs 10000/- in F-48 and now I am trying to make payment for 8000/- using APP run tcode F110.
But when i did that, the proposal is considering Rs 5000/- & 10000/- also (in total Rs 23000/-), where as it suppose to consider only Rs 8000/-.
So please let me know how to clear noted items or how to make it consider only Rs 8000/- in APP run.

when you Paid in F-48 did you choose open iten paid .
The only reason think is that when you paid in f-48 they were not due on that date . when you F-110 they are open thta date even thogh you have paid on later date ,

Weird Application showing up in App Update widget

When I run the app update widget I see this weird applications. It's been there for a while, but I'm now getting worried that I can't find out what it is.. latest updates of all widgets and software.
I looks like ['maikon] but the i is an uppercase special character.
Anyone else getting this?

How do I retore app icons to screen after IO6 update? They now appear only in App store list

Go to iTunes, click on Apps in the left window, to bring up your app library. Then click on "check for updates" in the right window, bottom corner. If there are any updates available, you'll be notified of the number and you'll have to choose the apps you want to update in the next screen shown, or update them all at once after filling in your password.
You can also click on one app in the library and choose "get info" to see the actual version saved in your library.

Two apps running, but the Dock doesn't seem to know about them

In the last couple of days I have quit and restarted Firefox and then Safari. Both apps are up and running with multiple windows and tabs open, but according to the Dock they are not running. The light is not lit up next to the app icon, and when you right-click on the icon the menu doesn't show any of the open windows, just the "Open" option like you would expect for an application not running. If I click on the app icon, it does bring the app to the front, and the menus and user interface seem to work fine.
I've had this happen before, with Firefox, but now it seems to be spreading to Safari...

First thing I would try is to restart from a complete shutddown. Sometimes fixes minor glitches like that.
Have you tried moving ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dock.plist to the trash? I've never done this, but I'm guessing it will remove all your Dock settings. Then, killall Dock log out and back in. (Or just try killall Dock first) Don't empty the trash just yet, if no improvement, use File>Put Back.

I am a long time iPhone and Mac user. We just purchesed a new iPad mini. I can't seem to get the apps running in the background to turn off. They won't wiggle, neither will they let me swipe up to remove them. Is there a preference in settings I need to turn on?
