Broad casting Mail

Dear All Experts,
My requirements is we are developing the BI Reports Week and quaterly reports and same reports should be sent to the recepient's automatically on weekly and quaterly basis.
how to configured Broad casting Information, then how to do this following above requirements.
Please Provide me step-by-step, if u you have any pdf kindly provide me.

1> Execute your report in WAD or query thr broadcast.
2> Right Click - >Distribute -> on the first screen there will be a link saying here.
3> Click on that link.
4> In the next screen give your setting as you want and save the variant.
5> Now you will have a technical name of the variant which you saved.
6> Go to the transaction rspc .
7> make a new PC.
8> in the second step after START, get ABAP Program.
9> Give the program name as RSRD_BROADCAST_STARTER.
10> give variant along with this Program name.
11> Just save and execute it will work
12> Do let me know in case of any issues i will be glad to help to the best possible way.

Broad casting as an excel sheet option is not there

Hi All,
We are trying to do broad cast for a workbook in BI 7.0 in excel sheet format .
So we have created workbook and created broad casting setting for this workbook, we are getting pdf format broad casting but i am not getting the option to broad cast in Excel sheet.
Please suggest me....

I think you are trying to broadcast a query and not a workbook.
Per I understand, broadcast a workbook on PDF format is impossible.
Well,
Go to table RSRD_OUTFORM. (you can use SE16 to view)
Check this table and remove the FLAG 'x' on SUPRESS column of XLS.
This should fix your issue.

Hi Suneel,
First select a button group from the standard Web Items.
Select the Button 1and give the caption and then select the Start Broadcaster command from the Commands for Web Templates, click on next and select its distribution Type i.e. broadcast to Portal.

Broad casting Webi report in excel format to different users email ids

Hello,
Seriously looking for the help, please help with the solution for below scenario.
We have a requirement to schedule broadcasting of Webi reports to users email in excel format from infoview. But our concern is how the system takes care of authorizations of users when we broadcast the report to their mail id as excel file.
For example we have one webi report for Finance and there are thousands of users for each department, cost centre etcu2026so how to broadcast the same webi report in excel to different users with only data they have authorized to see. We have committed to client that we can do this with out much massive overhead, please advise what is the easiest way to achieve this. I read something like this can be done using authorization profiles in CMS but creating those many profiles and mapping them to relevant authorizations is not possible as there are thousands of users with different authorization levels. And Client is expecting this broadcasting need to be done automatically with out every time manual intervention.

Please use the Dynmanic Recipients functionality of the Publication.
For this we need to do follow steps.
1) Create the WebI Report that needs to be published(Broadcasted)
2) create Deski/webi report which contains the user details and email id's for publishing main report.
3) Map the properties of souce report with Dynamic Recipient report.
Please refer the user guide for more inforamtion.This helps you in avoiding manual creation of profiles in CMC.

Information Broad Casting

Hi Guys,
I would like to be able to use the Information Broadcasting functionality within BI to enable reports to be broadcast to users primarily via email but also potentially to printers.Please let me know how to do this in the SAP BI.

Broad cast message in BW portal for system shutdown etc

Hi All,
we are using EP 6.0 and bw 3.5.There are times when the system is down,it is a tedious process to let all the users know about it by email.
Is there any way like SAP to broadcast a general message that system is down or particular reporting area data is not right etc to global user group on logging on to portal.

Here my problem is i have a query with some variables. I need to broadcast this query. here current fiscal period and current date is getting sysdate by using i_step1. I saved this values as a variant and used this variant in Broadcasting. when ever i execute the broacast i need to get system date ( Ie Current date) but here its not getting like that. its getting the variant saved date.
I dont want this my dates should be dynamic.
Did any one solved similar kind of problem.Any suggestions?

actually it the scenario is some this like this i have created an WAD with email as an button up on click on the button it will execute the BI Broad Casting Functionality
He have published the template on to portal, the template is executing fine in Enterprise portal but upon button click we are perfectly invoking the broadcasting functionality but i am unable to send mail when i am click on Execute button.
The functionality is working fine from BW system .please help me out in resolving the issue.

WPA PEAP No working under 10.4.8 and Macbook Pro C2D

After the Core 2 Duo upgrade I finally decided to buy a Macbook Pro to use at work.
Everything working fine so far (Love the MBP) except that at work we are using a Radius Server to authenticate with PEAP under WPA for wireless.
I created the 802.1x connection and after giving it the Network name and UID and pwd (SID is not broad casted) it sees the network and connects OK (after accepting the certificate) but I do not get an IP from the DHCP.
I looked at the forum discussions and apparently this has been an issue before o certain Intel machines but was fixed on 10.4.6 or so, well apparently is brocken again.
Called Apple Support but they did not know how to resolve.
Anyone else having the problem?

If anyone is interested the problem of instability resurfaced despite doing an archive and instal to reinstal 10.4.8 and then go through the upgrade process from there to instal the updates to bring it back to 10.4.10. Even after that the instability got to the stage that I only had to sneeze and it would crash.
Ultimately I resorted to backing up all my data onto a 120Gb USB HD, erased the HD drive and started from the beginning again with the discs that came with the MBP. As you can imagine that was a long process and took me from about 4pm in the afternoon to 1am in the morning. Eyes were hanging out of my head after that effort.
So far I have not had any further problems.
I really don't know now to what extent that Safari 3 Beta was the cause of all my instability problems but the crash logs seemed to point to it. Some people are reporting no problems with Safari 3 whatsoever so that begs the question if there was a conflict with some 3rd party application I was running or something got corrupted that could not be repaired for whatever the reason.
After the rebuild I was thinking that re-establishing my iPhoto and iTunes library would be a slow nightmarish process by having to import each photo group or each iTunes album one at a time. I chose to gamble on copying the entire directory for iPhoto and the entire directory for iTunes across from my USB HD. Well I needn't have worried because it worked perfectly. I also had copied out some user/library/.... folders and gambled on copying them back after rebuild in the hope of restoring various setups etc and that worked too. Things like Application Support files, Mail files, selected Preferences, Safari bookmarks and history and Widgets. That sort of approach worked on my well used Windows XP box so thought it would work on the MBP. Worst case is that I would have had to start all over again if I messed it up.

Error while executing the BW queries in favourites

Hi all,
I am able to execute workbooks which are in favourites menu
however when I execute queries from favourites it gives me an error as below.
"windows cannot find'?cmd=idoc&infocube=z19XXX&query=xxx"
I tried using the function module FAVOS_EVENT_ADD_TO_USER_SHELF but no success.
Report type - TR
Report name - RRMX
SAP GUID - CompID(Tried technical name also)
Any inputs? wht is the correct process to add queries them to favourites?
