Broadband has more than halved in speed...why?

Just switched to BT from TalkTalk (they were extremely slow, 2.5Mbps on a good day, and the internet went down every 5 minutes)
 Switch went ahead without a problem and we had speeds of approximately 6Mbps for the first few days. All extremely happy with the speed. Then, before the 10 day beginning period had finished, the speed plummeted down to 2.5Mbps and has stayed there. The 10 day period is now up. We are paying more for BT than for TalkTalk, and you've proved to us that you CAN provide us with a 6Mbps service. In fact, the details which came through estimated us at 8Mbps, with a PROMISED MINIMUM of 6 and a maximum of 12.
Can anyone from BT please explain to me why you are delivering the same speed (2.5Mbps) as the previous ISP, when you are promising a MINUMUM of over double that, and charging more?

    Hi you have a very high noise level which is what is causing your low speed i suggest you try these first Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal

    I have a problem when I configure CISCO AP 1252, it cannot support more than 54Mb/s speed but support 802.n which speed can up to 300Mb/s. See below :

    i want to setup more than 54 Mb/s when i use my laptop to connect this AP.

    The 802.11n HT rates apply only to no encryption  or WPA2/AES encryption. They do not apply to WEP or WPA encryption. If  WEP or TKIP encryption is used, the 1250 series access points and any  802.11n Draft 2.0 clients will not transmit at the HT rates. Legacy  rates (802.11a/b/g) will be used for any clients using WEP or TKIP  encryption.

    40MHz Operation
    If the  throughput you get from a 20-MHz channel isn't enough for your speedy  users, you can flip each 5-GHz 11n radio into a bonded-channel  configuration.
    You can configure 40-MHz operation on the 2.4-GHz  radio of the 1250 Series AP, but this isn't recommended or supported.  The primary reason against it is that with a wide channel in a band that  has so little available spectrum (and so much interference), you make a  single AP capable of higher throughput at the expense of performance  for all neighboring access points-certainly not the way enterprise WLANs  ought to be designed. Also, the vast majority of client chipsets  (Intel's, for one) will not support 40-MHz operation in the 2.4-GHz  space.

    Making the Most of Things
    Once you're  connected at 802.11n HT rates, you'll want to make sure you don't lose  the throughput gains you should be able to achieve. Not all may be  within your control, but if you understand the performance implications  of these variables, it will help you in baselining your WLAN  capabilities.
    When your  laptops are unplugged, the 11n client will likely try aggressively to  save battery power. Depending on client radio and chipset, it's not  uncommon to see performance drop by as much as 50 percent. Unless you  know how to fully disable this, keep your laptops plugged in if you want  maximum performance,
    Note: Even if you managed to disable this power save function, most laptop  motherboards/chipsets have automated power-saving features that kick in  when the laptop is unplugged. At best, these are difficult to disable.  Thus, it is strongly recommended that you not do performance testing  when clients are battery operated.
    As detailed  previously, throughput performance may vary as legacy devices are  introduced into the 802.11n environment. This is to be expected, but  make sure that you find a channel void of all legacy transmissions if  you want to test the high-water mark of your new 11n WLAN. If that isn't  possible, adjust your expectations accordingly.

    According to your description, there is main report and subreport in it, when the subreport spans across multiple pages, you want to show column headers on each page. If that is the case, we can set column headers visible while scrolling in main report.
    For detail information, please refer to the following steps:
    In design mode, click the small drop down arrow next to Column Groups and select Advanced Mode.
    Go to your Row Groups pane, click on the first static member.
    In properties grid, set FixData to True.
    Set RepeatOnNextPage to True.

  • Auto creation of child requests when parent request has more than one group

    Hi,
    I have created a request dataset which has a child form for AD Group. While raising a request, if I add more than one group, how to process the approval flow. Because I will be having different different approvers for different different groups. Is there any way to create child requests automatically when we submit a request with more than one group? I am using OIM 11.1.1.5.0.
    I know in OIM 11g, whenever user raises request for more than one beneficiary/target-resource then OIM breaks that request into Child Requests. But this is not happening when I add more than one group in the same resource. Do I need to write my own code for DataValidator to split parent request into child requests upon validating child form? If so, is it going to impact the existing feature which is creating child request when parent has more than one user/resource.
    Please let me know.

    Are you trying to install the 32-bit version on a 64-bit machine, or vice versa?
    For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
    The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for performance issues or compatibility with third party software.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

    I have a queue which is failing and giving error message "An operation has more than one setup activity".
    I have  debugged it but of no use.
    In SAP R3 planned order data is created and is being sent to APO system through a CIF interface in queue.
    In APO system,planned order data is integrated to process order,during this they are getting the subject mentioned error.
    Kindly help me how to rectify this error.

    Back again...hopefully below should solve your issue.
    Check if any of the co-product (of the main assembly) has GR processing time. Are there any phantom component in the BOM, if yes, please check the co-products in phantom assembly as well.
    Any co-products /phantom assembly should be assigned to APO related Produce phase.
    Otherwise, you can remove the GR processing time for co-products (make it zero) and sync the master data and then try.
    This should solve the issue.

    We have an issue with FI-Customer Clearing. While clearing the error is appearing as document has more than 999 line items. after the detailed checking we found that there are lots of line items posted to Real Exchange Rate diff that to COPA.
    To reduce the maximum line items SAP is suggesting to deactivate the Real exchange rate diff.postings to COPA.

    It seems like the OAM web service (um_view_interface.wsdl) is not WS-I BP 1.1 compliant. It expects two elements under the body. WS-I BP 1.1 specifies that there should be only one child in the body of the element.

    If I do the following steps: Messaging > + >To + > Select contact > I see all numbers listed for the contact.
    If I do instead: People > Contact > SMS, the number entered as "mobile" is selected by default. If you want to change it to "mobile2", you need to go: ... > switch number and select from there.

  • Problem with closing other firefox windows when window in use has more than 1 tab open

    If I have multiple firefox windows open, and the one that I am using has more than one tab open, when I try to close one of the windows that I am not using by hovering over the firefox icon on the taskbar, then clicking the cross on the other windows, a message appears asking me if I want to close a window with more than one tab open. This means that firefox is trying to close the window that I'm using, not the one I'm trying to close. Please note this only happens when I hover over the icon on the taskbar then click the cross for the window I want to close. If I open the window properly, then click the cross on the window itself, it works fine.
    Just wanted to know if anyone else has this problem, and if they do, then mozilla should probably fix it in their next update, it's getting really annoying now

    (1) Just to confirm, do you both have "Show tab previews in the Windows taskbar" turned off here:

    (2) Have you tried disabling Firefox use of hardware graphics acceleration?
    You usually need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).

    On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"
    If you restart Firefox, do you notice any changes?

  • Dynamic Calc member has more than 100 children

    In my db, I've a dynamic calc member, in say hierarchy Accounts, that has more than 100 members under it (children).
    I'm using MaxL scripts to update the Accounts hierarchy i.e. adding new members, tagging UDA's etc.
    However, the MaxL command is erroring out with a Network Error: Cannot Recieve/Send data. I understand if I try doing the update via
    EAS and try to save the outline, it gives me the more than 100 children warning but still allows me to save it but via MaxL I cannot force
    it to do so.
    This is just a warning and shouldn't MaxL still save the outline? Is there something else that am missing or is there any solution for this issue.
    This is a Sparse dimension. More members will be added to the hierarchy monthly, thereby not reducing the count below hundred.

    I am envisioning an entire sparse Accounts dimension with all of the upper levels dynamic. If it is like most accounts dimensions I have seen it has a lot of level zero members and a lot of parent rollups. looking at top level members could be very slow (relative to if they were calculated or dense). We have all done interesting things in our cubes to gain some performance measure trading off calculation and retrieval performance. Doing something like this is an area where a testing is crital
