Broadcast web template by e-mail : user authorization issue

Dear all,
Here is my concern: I have created a variant to broadcast a web template as a PDF file by e-mail using authorization settings of the receivers and e-mail adress associated to his BW user id.
To achieve this I have to create the user in the portal (even if the user will never connect to the portal), additionnaly to the creation of the user in BI. In the portal, I assign a password to the user.
If I plan the broadcast settings, I receive the following error:
Erreur système Java : call FM RSRD_X_PRODUCE_PROXY to ProgId SAPJWP_PORTAL_JWP on host sapjwp with SSO not authorized: Missing Password
N° message RSBOLAP018
The work around is to connect to the portail with the receiver id and to change the initial password. I do the same on the BW side. Then it works
I have to create 300 users so I would like to find a way to ease this process. I am pretty sure this is dealing with SSO mechanism. I will award points for this answer.

Hi:
With information broadcasting and publishing you have options. You could broadcast to the KM repository and users of the portal could retrieve from there.
You might consider the email options.

Precalculate & Broadcast Web Template to specific Workset/Role

Hi,
I have created a Web Template called Sales_01
I also have created a Workset called Sales_workset_01 and assigned the workset to ROle Sales_manager.
I then published my Sales_01 web template to the SAles_workset_01.
Now, i want to precalculate and broadcast my Sales_01 to the Sales_workset_01.
Somehow I am not able to and only allowed to broadcast to the KM FOlder...
Anyone out there know of a solution or workaround?

Hi Andrew,
That was the first thing that came to mind. I tried publishing to the KM folder, but then could not find any way to link the object in the KM folder to the Role / Workset under my Portal Content.
Any ideas to do this?

Broadcasting Web template as PDF

Dear Gurus,
We are using WAD 3.x now and broadcasting the WAD template daily to the users as Email in HTML format.
This template consistes of multiple BEx reports.
Now the users wanted to view these reports in PDF format instead of HTML.
Is this possible in 3.x version...

How to set specific URL for broadcasting web templates from WAD

Hi experts,
I have created a sample web template in WAD by using SAP BI standerd query.When I am executing the web template,it is redirecting me to some unintended web portal.I know the correct portal URL.Can anybody tell me where the redirecting portal URL settings are maintained in BI/BEx/WAD??

By the navigation you mentioned,I was able to identify where exactly I have to change the URL prefix.However,when I am saving the changes I made to URL prefix,system is redirecting me to "Varient Attributes" screen.I don't know what exactly this screen is about.Please help..

Information broadcasting - web template help

Hi
We are using the standard 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN template ( though saved it as a Z template ). When I click on the Send icon ( for emailing the report ) , a new page opens up which provides me the following tabs :
1.Data Analysis
2.Graphical display
3.Information
4.Information Broadcasting
I just need the tab for the information broadcasting when I click on send. Pls help me on how to achieve this.

User authorization issue in portal

Hi Gurus,
I am facing a problem with a user on a portal system. The user is not able to execute a query assigned to him,
I have checked the groups and the ABAP roles assigned to him and they seem to be correct.
Intrestingly if i copy the user to create another user, the new user is able to execute the query....
Any suggestions for what might I need to check for this user...

This would imply that an exclusion statement has been coded into the query as within the group of users who can start them, only a subset of the users should have a subset of the access... but the authorization concept had reached it's "limits" (at least for this implementation).
Bit of a silly idea if you ask me (in hindsight this is easy to say), although at the time it might have been considered "creative"...

Hello Sharath,
First check whether you have change authorizations for WAD, check you user name is added in the role for web templates and also check the authorizations.
then in the web template in the menu bar go to view option ,select web items and properties , so that you can find them in the left hand side, then replace the chart item with the table and assign the query to the table.

Print a Web Template with Web Application Designer 3.X

I would know how I can print a web template made with Web Application Designer 3.X and that it is in the Intranet.
Actually I'm printing that page with the option of the browser (Internet Explorer) but it print only I see, no print all the chart and the rest of the columns.
How can I print all the data that compose the web template?

Error BRAIN 276 when you execute a Web template in BI Admin Cockpit in EP

Hi Experts,
I have Installed BI Administration Business Packages in Portal and configured necessary steps in BI System.I have assigned the role in Portal and BI System.
I tried executing one iview...and was getting the following error:
Error loading template 0TPLI_0TCT_MCA1_Q0143
and when i click on the above error ..i was getting another window which shows below message:
Technical Information for Message:
Error loading template 0TPLI_0TCT_MCA1_Q0143
Notification Number BRAIN 276
I was suggested by SAP Note 1014795 to do the below changes :
TEMPLATE_ID=0TPLI_0TCT_MCA1_Q0143 To TEMPLATE=0TPLI_0TCT_MCA1_Q0143
Please note that the above note says to replace TEMPLATE_ID by TEMPLATE in the property of "BEX Web application Query String" of the IView in Portal
and also please note that i have Version=SAP BW 2.X/3.X in Iview Property .
After having made the above changes iam getting the BEX Web Analyzer...where i have the options to open a query ( from all the infoareas of BI System).and then i will select the query (0TCT_MCA1_Q0143) and am executing the same to display the data.
i know that this Is not the correct way of executing the iview for BI Admin Cockpit.
Can anyone help me how to execute the Web Template automatically when the user clicks on IView ?
we have all the above Web Templates Corresponding to BI admin cockpit in active mode in when checked from WAD 3.X , but when when i search for the above web templates in WAD 7.0 i do not find them
Is there anything that i need to activate in BI System ? Or in Portal System?
Or do i have to execute the above web templates in BI WAD before linking them to portal iviews?
Do we have to Migrate the Web Templates from BW 3.5 to BI 7.O?

We are having this exact same issue - example of one of the errors:: Error loading template 0TPLI_0TCT_MCA1_Q0114. We get this error for all MCA1 templates. Basis says they've deployed latest BP BI Administration 1.0 with Patch 2 (BPBIADMINOSP_2-1000342B.SCA).The info refers to BI Admin Cockpit, Business Package for BI Administration,
BP BI ADMINISTRATION 1.0 ,BI Usage Statistics,0TCT_CA1.
I see from documentationthat the multicube 0TCT_MCA1 is from 0TCT_CA1 and 0TCT_VCA1
From the documentation in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/26/9ef41d14dc424183b4807538be8e1e/frameset.htm, under web templates,
1) How come there are more than 1 template with same name and Query with same names- for example:
Web Template: Long-Term Trends in Total Runtimes of BI Applications
WebTemplate: 0TPLI_0TCT_MC01_Q0114
This Web template is the container for the query 0TCT_MC01_Q0114 and is designed to provide detailed analyses.
AND
Web Template: Long-Term Trends in Total Runtimes of BI Applications
WebTemplate: 0TPLI_0TCT_MCA1_Q0114
This Web template is the container for the query 0TCT_MCA1_Q0114 and is used for detailed analyses
2) How come the delivered process chains load other technical content, but does not load 0TCT_CA1
Basis re-deployed the bi admin cockpit contents, but still have error in loading template 0TPLI_0TCT_MCA1_Q0114.
3) Do we need to do any of the following?
SE38 u2013 run RSTCC_ACTIVATEADMINCOCKPIT_NEW
RSA1 - bi content, install & transport
Check role SAP_BI_BW_ADMINSTRATOR

Web Template Nav Block char issue.

Hi folks,
We have an issue with one of our web templates. In one of the navigation blocks there are some characteristics, for example, some are like as below.
G/L Account
Asset
Cost Center
Order
Network
WBS Element
Cost Center (Accoung string -correct object)
Sales document
The second object from bottom supposed to show as 'Account String' since the char is accounting string itself, insted, it is showing as Cost Center which is not correct.
The web template has 'personalization' checked.
This issue is happening with one user id. For other users (using their logon credentials), it is showing correctly.

RRI from the web template

Hi,
I have a requirement where in I need to jump from source query to target query from the web template. Our source query is static and no navigation is allowed. So in analysis grid item, I had to remove navigation as option. When I do this, user cant remove anything from the report but the issue is when user right clicks, GOTO option is not available. when I un tick the navigation , GOTO is available.
So my requirement is navigation should not be available but GOTO should be available in context menu.

Even if i copy and use it in the wad, User can still take out few rows from the selection if i dont switchoff the navigation from the web template. When the user removes any row from the table, my result of the report will be wrong because report is based on condition. Hope i am clear

My client asked me to create a web template for their web reports. They gave me their logo and asked me to include it on every web report as header. Also, they gave me the fonts and colors of the report headers and normal data and the footer etc...

Publishing web templates in static HTML

Hi,
When broadcasting web templates to HTML, must you publish them into the portal or can they simply reside on the BW server as static HTML pages and accessible via a URL?
I ask because I am implementing a dashboard and the web templates should be pre-calculated to be very quick performance-wise.
Second question, If I have two different web templates that I want to precalculate/publish twice (with different selections) how do you define the naming convenstion for the html file names? Eg.
WebTemplateName_Variable1_Variable2_Chart.html
WebTemplateName_Variable1_Variable2_Data.html

I can get a web template to work with the data_mode=static url parameter set, but only when I call up the template alone, without any variable selections in the url. As soon as I set variables via url params, I get the error message: "requested document could not be found". The strange thing is that in the "document overview" of the reporting agent I can see the HTML file does exist for that selection criteria (and the query works in static_hybrid mode, which proves that the url parameter use the correct syntax)! Additionally, I can call up the correct html file directly via the url:
/sap/bw/doc/tmpl/FLDTMPL/LATEST/LATEST_SD011_COMPLAINT_PER_CUSTOMER/SD011_COMPLAINT_PER_CUSTOMER_00001.htm
but not with :
sap/bw/BEx?CMD=LDOC&TEMPLATE_ID=SD011_COMPLAINT_PER_CUSTOMER&VAR_NAME_1=ZSOLDTOP&var_operator_1=EQ&var_sign_1=I&var_value_low_ext_1=0000204874&data_mode=static
and not with:

This is on BW3.5. Note 594340 describes the problem, but the fix is only valid for version 3.1.

You can determine the properties of the Web template both in an object tag (see Object Tag for the Properties of Web Templates) and or with command Call Web Template.

Data mode
This parameter is optional. If you do not specify one of the options for this parameter, a request is always sent to the OLAP processor and current data is read.
For the modi STORED and HYBRID, data has to be precalculated using the Reporting Agent.
