BROADCASTER 5420 & Other Errors

OSX 10.4.7 with Quicktime Broadcaster 1.5.1

I have used broadcaster many times before, but I am completely lost. I cannot get a broadcast to "broadcast" anymore. I've experimented with variations on broadcast types, settings, etc, and can't get it to work. Anyone else having a problem? I generally use Automatic (announce) but now I'm getting error -5420. It pre-rolls for a couple seconds, stalls, then errors out on me.
I typically use Ethernet over a DSL line to feed the video to a server hosted elsewhere. I CAN log into my server to monitor stats through Darwin Streaming Server, so I know my server is working and accessible.
I do have a wireless router, but I never broadcast wirelessly. I use a direct ethernet connect through the router. In addition, I have bypassed the router completely to try a direct internet connection. Still fails; so don't tell me it's the router.
Is there a network or port setting that I'm perhaps overlooking? Although I have Quicktime PRO on my tower, I don't have it on my broadcasting laptop. Could that be an issue suddenly?
I appreciate anyone's thoughts or similar experiences. This typically works great for me!

Kernel Panics and other errors

Ok here's the deal. I was having a lot of problems with my MacBook Pro and reinstalling Leopard did nothing to help, so I took it to the Apple store near me and checked it in. A couple of weeks later I got it back with a new logic board, new hard drive, and new hard drive cable. Since then I've been having kernel panics every now and then. The only time it happens regularly is when I try to do a directory repair with DiskWarrior on my external Firewire drive running 10.5.3.
The FW drive's panic log refers to a simple lock deadlock detection caused by com.alsoft.Preview. A Safe Boot fixes the issue, which would point to a conflicting kext or login item or something like that. What I can't figure out is why it worked perfectly before my laptop was repaired, and now consistently causes a kernel panic whenever I run it. Nothing on the external drive has changed since then, so I'd have to assume the hardware change would be the problem. But then why would a Safe Boot solve the problem? Maybe a driver or something that isn't being loaded in Safe Mode but normally is encountering an error due to bad hardware?
I also have two other panic logs from my internal hard drive. The first is a kernel trap, also caused by com.alsoft.Preview. I'm not sure why it was stored on the internal hard drive's Logs folder since I only run DiskWarrior from my FW drive (it's not even installed on the internal drive), but I digress. The other panic was caused by an "IOGMD: not wired for the IODMACommand" error. Apparently the error had to do with a few USB-related drivers and IOKits, namely IOUSBMassStorageClass, AppleUSBEHCI, and IOUSBFamily. I've been having some weird issues with my USB flash drive lately, mostly file transfers going incredibly slow (like 300 KB/sec slow). I haven't been having these issues on any other computer, and I've even verified the flash drive with Disk Utility, so I would have to say the problem is with the Mac and not the drive itself.
Now for the other errors. I've been getting Disk Too Slow errors in GarageBand when recording guitar tracks (which I've never gotten before), and there's a lot of background noise when recording that wasn't there before the repair. Before I could connect the audio output on the amp to the line in on my laptop using a 1/4" to 3.5 mm cable, and everything sounded pretty clean. Now the sound is distorted and there's a lot of static during silence. The only way to get it sound somewhat decent is to play around with the gate and compression settings.
I'm also having occasional issues ejecting drives and virtual drives, Spotlight tries to index drives that are added to the exception list in System Preferences, and weird random errors showing up in Console related to Finder, Dock, certain apps, and fseventd (the fseventd errors are usually about my flash drive). I'm leaning toward a bad logic board, even though that was just replaced. I just did an Erase and Install a few weeks ago so I doubt it's software-related. Plus I've been having issues with it in one form or another since I got it back, which also makes me think it's not the OS.
Anyway, I'm just looking for opinions at this point. I'm going to take it back to the Apple store in a few days because of a small group of dead pixels, so as long as I'm down there I'll ask them. In the meantime, anyone have any thoughts?

1) Have you done the Quicktime Streaming setting ?
Go to System Preferences > Quicktime > Streaming tab. In the drop down set the speed to match your download or to a max of 1.5meg

I ALSO HAVE A IMAC 17IN FLAT SCREEN, ABOUT 3 YEARS OLD RUNNING OS 10.2.8 I JUST PUT AN AIRPORT EXTEME CARD AND BOTH COMPUTERS IS USING THE AIRPORT EXPRESS. BEFORE I WAS USING THE BUILT-IN ETHERNET.

ORA-12008 in MV refresh with no other errors

I have a scheduler job that refreshes multiple MV's. When one fails, it only shows
ORA-12012: error on auto execute of job 1258189
ORA-12008: error in materialized view refresh path
No other errors show up either in the alert log or the resulting trace file. It will refresh fine if I perform the refresh manually after the error.
How can I figure out what is causing the problem (i.e. get additional errors)? Is there some directive I can give to get more information?

Application is throwing NSAPI and other errors after the migration

We started seeing NSAPI and other errors after the migration of new codes and recently make some changes
1) During the migration, all the 4 WLS cluster instances were bounced simultaneously. What is the best practice and recommendation from BEA Oracle? Do we need to bounce it one by one for any specific reason?
2) we recently introduced the 4th weblogic cluster instance on Solaris 10 zone. All other WLS instances are running on Solaris 8.
Is it okay to have two different OS versions( Solaris 8 and Solaris 10) and different hardware to host WLS cluster instances? Does BEA Oracle support this kind of configuration?
3) We are consistently seeing below errors in the iplanet web server error logs even though site is working fine
[11/Sep/2009:08:53:50] failure ( 4453): for host XX.XX.XX.XX trying to POST /servlet/FSO, wl-proxy reports: exception occurred for backend host 'YY.YY.YY.YY/23120/0': 'CONNECTION_REFUSED [os error=0, line 1732 of URL.cpp]: Error connecting to host YY.YY.YY.YY.YY:23120'
Do we need to upgrade our WLS proxy plugin? . Current version of WLS proxy plug-in is libproxy_61.so. Our Weblogic version is WLS 92 MP2

IMS-exception type "Other errors" is not getting triggered

Hi experts,
                 I am trying out some scenarios in IMS. I want to check exception type- "Other Errors" which is a most generic exception type. I have tried many options like- removed country from partner id address, tried posting invoice after removing account assignment category but for all these invoice triggers exception- duplicate invoice which i am unable to understand. can anybody please tell me what are the settings required for exception type- other errors?
2. I even tried exception type "missing goods receipt". Excption type is getting triggered but after creation of confirmation- the status of the exception is not getting changed to clarified. Instead it gives an error- User is locked please try after some time.

Have you set these exception in Settings for Invoice Monitor
Purpose
In the Settings for Invoice Monitor application, you can make settings directly on the user interface for every exception that you wish to adjust.
Digital signature
For each exception, you can define whether you want to use a digital signature.
If you use a digital signature, the field Digital Signature is active on the Adobe PDF form and the processor of the form has to sign it before sending it back.
The system then checks that the signature is valid.
If the signature is invalid, or the processor does not sign the form, an error message is written to the log and the e-mail is closed.
You can assign a digital signature to a vendor in two different ways.
·        The user assigns a partner certificate and sends it to the vendor.
·        The user uses the vendors signature certificate. This certificate has to be registered on the ADS server. For more information, see the SAP NetWeaver Configuration Guide Interactive Forms based on Adobe Software on the SAP Service Marketplace under service.sap.com/instguidesNW2004s.
Additionally, you can make settings for the following exceptions:
   Invoice duplicate
This exception is triggered if you try to post an invoice that has already been posted. The two invoices are compared using criteria that you have specified. In the settings, you can define whether a notification e-mail is automatically sent in the case of an invoice duplicate exception, and to whom this e-mail is sent. Furthermore, you can tailor the duplicate check to suit your requirements. The following criteria are available:
    Consider special characters in the vendor invoice number
     Check the number of items and purchase order number
     Additionally, you can define that the invoice is automatically deleted as soon as the vendor confirms that a duplicate invoice exists.
¡        Fields for duplicate check
On this tab page, you can activate the fields that are relevant for the duplicate check. Furthermore, you can define a maximum variance for each field. In other words, you define whether the data in the fields should be an exact match, or whether small differences are acceptable.
¡        Exclude vendor values and or invoice values
On this tab page, you can exclude certain vendors and/or invoice values from the duplicate check. If, for example, you always receive invoices from one vendor for the same amount, you can enter this here so as to prevent unnecessary checks.
¡        Group vendors
On this tab page, you can group vendors that have several vendor numbers together in a data record to facilitate the duplicate check. Entries in this table cause an update in the TREX database which might lead to a short delay.
Regardless of your settings, the system performs a standard duplicate check (for vendor invoice numbers or vendor numbers that match exactly, for a +/- 7 day period) to ensure that these duplicates are found. If this standard check is not successful, a further check is performed using the settings that you made.
·        Missing external information
This exception is triggered if you try to post an invoice that contains incomplete or incorrect information. In the settings, you can define whether a notification e-mail is automatically sent in the case of an exception caused by missing external information, and to whom this e-mail is sent. Furthermore, you can define whether the e-mail contains a link to the SRM System, where the missing/incorrect information can be entered directly in an interactive form.
·        Missing internal information
This exception is triggered if you try to post an invoice that contains incomplete or incorrect information. In the settings, you can define whether a notification e-mail is automatically sent in the case of an exception caused by missing internal information, and to whom this e-mail is sent. Furthermore, you can define whether the e-mail contains a link to the SRM System, where the missing/incorrect information can be entered directly in an interactive form.
·        Missing goods receipt
If no digital signature is used, two additional fields are displayed in the PDF form. The processor has to enter his first and last name into these fields before he/she sends the e-mail back.
In the settings, you can define whether a notification e-mail is automatically sent in the case of an exception caused by a missing goods receipt, and to whom this e-mail is sent. You can define how long the invoice should remain with status 'Waiting for Preceding Documents' before it receives the status 'To be Corrected Manually. Furthermore, you can define how many days pass before an e-mail is sent to the goods recipient. When the goods recipient then confirms that no goods delivery has taken place, an e-mail is automatically sent to the vendor. If the goods receipt has already taken place, you can either define that the goods recipient confirms this automatically in an interactive form, or that the goods recipient uses a link in the e-mail to confirm the goods receipt in the SRM system.
·        Incorrect reference
This exception is triggered if you try to post an invoice that refers to an incorrect reference. In the settings, you can define whether a notification e-mail is automatically sent in the case of an exception caused by an incorrect reference, and to whom this e-mail is sent. Furthermore, you can define whether the e-mail contains a link to the SRM System.
·        Approval overdue
This exception is triggered if an invoice remains in approval status for longer than allowed. You can define how long an invoice can remain in approval status before the exception is triggered.
·        Other errors
This exception is triggered if you try to post an invoice that contains errors. In the settings, you can define whether a notification e-mail is automatically sent in the case of an exception caused by other errors, and to whom this e-mail is sent. Furthermore, you can define whether the e-mail contains a link to the SRM System.
Note that the invoice is checked in accordance with the vendor tolerance limits in the case of the following exceptions: If these are exceeded, an error message is output.
·        Price variance
This exception is triggered if you try to post an invoice that contains price variance that exceeds the tolerance limit. In the settings, you can define whether a notification e-mail is automatically sent in the case of a price variance, and to whom this e-mail is sent. You can stipulate that the invoice is posted automatically if the price variance is approved on account of the e-mail. Furthermore, you can define whether the e-mail contains a link to the SRM System.
·        Quantity variance
This exception is triggered if you try to post an invoice that contains quantity variance that exceeds the tolerance limit. In the settings, you can define whether a notification e-mail is automatically sent in the case of a quantity variance, and to whom this e-mail is sent. You can stipulate that the invoice is posted automatically if the quantity variance is approved on account of the e-mail. Furthermore, you can define whether the e-mail contains a link to the SRM System.
·        Tax variance
This exception is triggered if you try to post an invoice that contains tax variance that exceeds the tolerance limit. In the settings, you can define whether a notification e-mail is automatically sent in the case of a tax variance, and to whom this e-mail is sent. In Invoice monito system pls check the what setting is done for Duplicate invoice, Missing GR and other invoice.
Based on these setting only system identifies what type of exception it is.
In other errors you should mention in Settings for Invoice Monitor what are the fileds your consider for other exception.

If you want to do it the correct PeopleSoft way, you need to define you message texts as message catalog entry and then use this like

Custom message catalog entries need be entered on a message set greater then 20000. Message catalog set up to 20000 are reserved by PeopleSoft.
With messagebox you will only popup a message, but processing continues.
If you do not want the component to save, use Error instead, this stop processing and saving the transaction.

New message catalog entries can be entered via menu PeopleTools, Utilities, Administration, Message Catalog.

Do you actually mean Exit Code 7?
What are the other actual errors you're seeing?
     --Some of the other errors may be ones people here are familiar with
When do they occur?
    --Is the installation failing, or is the program throwing errors while attempting to start up?
Are you installing from disks or from a download?
     --Downloads can come down to your machine corrupt and may require deletion/redownload
Is W8 installing with XP compatibility enabled?
     --DWCS5 is old compared to Windows8, if XP Compatibility isn't kicking in by default, you'll need to fix that
Do you have any anti-virus programs running while trying to install?
     --Turn them off
Running the cleaner tool before attempting a new install may work...

Setting other error pages (400, 403, 500)

OS X Server only allows you to have a custom 404 error. If I modify the virtual host file, it is overwritten the next time a change is made within the GUI. Is there a way to successfully set these other error pages?

Broadcaster throws RFC error.

Hi all,
We setup a precalc server for Broadcasting Workbooks and all was well and reports were being emailed, and suddenly I started recieving 'An active RFC server could not be found' error.
In RSPRECADMIN I see the server as GREEN and also the RFC tcpip test in SM59 passes.
I am stumped as to what else can be done?

May be the service has stopped on your sever.
Probably, you could try deleting the current precalculation server in RSPRECADMIN and restart the precalculation service on the application server/Client which is being referenced.
Recreate your precalculation server in RSPRECADMIN and see it go green again.
Test the TCP/IP RFC connection and check the broadcast setting again.
