Broadcom Bluetooth 2070 Driver

HP Pavilion dv7-4173us
Windows 7 Home Premium Upgraded to Windows 8 Pro with Media Center.
Had a problem with finger print reader in windows 8 pro but updated drivers worked.
Default Bluetooth driver in windows 8 was installed properly but did not work, there where no services in the bluetooth software to be enabled.  All windows 8 updated installed except the 1.6mb bluetooth update.  I tried updating the bluetooth driver with the original windows 7 driver that would not install in win8.  I tried the online broadcom download driver installation that did not work.  Downloaded the Broadcom v1200 bluetooth software and drver that installed but device manager dose not recognize it, Unknow Device.
Any Help Would Be GOOD!

Hello defici. I understand you're trying to get your bluetooth working after upgrading to Windows 8. Is this correct?
I checked and this notebook has, currently, not been tested with Windows 8. So, there are no official drivers available for the model. Also, you mentioned that you tried installing the Windows 7 drivers. Did you try using compatibility mode to do this? If not, try the following.
Download the Windows 7 64-bit driver here.
Extract the driver but stop the installation after the extraction process.
Navigate to C:\swsetup\sp50180 and locate the setup.exe file.
Right click on setup.exe and select Properties.
Then select the "Compatibility" tab.
Check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for..." box. Then select Windows 7 in the drop down menu.
Also check the "run this program as an administrator" box.
Save the changes and then run the program.
Verify functionality and post the result.
I'll keep an eye out for a reply. I hope you have a great day and a great weekend!

    Now look what you've done.
You've gone & gotten "all specific" so the wannabesthat like to sound important by throwing links at you, have run a mile.
    Lol.
Just take it to a proper tech dude, or go to a reputable fix it yourself site like this one & don't waste your time here. (I of course got thrown here from google & cringed).
HP are legendary for having problems that develop smaller problems, immigrate to problemville and breed with other siblings of similar problems to have more problems.Wanna try tech support?? They will tell you that if its your fault (He*l, you have no idea if it was; and they know it!!!) so you won't go there unless your super pis*ed, extremely rich (odds are if your trying to fix it yourself you aint) or have had enough.
Buy a Toshiba, ASUS or Acer, anything but an HP.
My advice, uninstall & re-install it & see how you go, if your lucky it may work.

  • Satellite P750: Unable to install Bluetooth Stack driver on Windows 7 (x64)

    Hello.
    I own a *Satellite P750-02T* (Part no. *PSAY3A-02T001*).
In the order what I did:
    1) I formatted its HDD and reinstalled OS to *Windows 7 x64 Ultimate SP1*.
Then I downloaded *ONLY BIOS and the drivers* from [its Downloads page|http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/computers/satellite/p750/psay3a-02t001/download?os=25] :
    2) I updated its BIOS to *v1.90* (the laptop came with v1.80)
    3) I installed all the drivers:
    - both LAN and WiFi
    - Intel Chipset (latest available)
    - all video drivers (Intel HD Graphics, NVIDIA Graphics, and Intel HDMI)
    - Card Reader
    - Realtek HD Audio (latest)
    - Synaptics Touchpad
    - USB3.0
    - IR
    - TV-Tuner
However, I'm *unable to install the Bluetooth driver (v8.00.06(T)* )...
When I run setup from the [above-mentioned page|http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/computers/satellite/p750/psay3a-02t001/download?os=25] it partially detects *'Bluetooth USB Controller-10 from TOSHIBA'* (USB\VID_0930&PID_0215&REV_001)
and then installation simply freezes displaying +'Installing the Bluetooth Driver. Please wait+.' and stays like that forever...
I also tried downloading a driver from [another location|http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/index.php?page=download-toshiba] for TOSHIBA notebooks - v8.00.02(T):
and followed installation instructions displayed under 'Details'
but there was the same outcome - the setup simply freezes...
Installing Hotfix (*KB978258*) recommended there didn't work either - the message '+The update is not applicable to your computer+' pops up.
And I understand why - this Hotfix is [already included|http://download.microsoft.com/download/E/B/A/EBA55FE2-373A-4351-9346-6D762B79AA69/Updates%20in%20Win7%20and%20WS08R2%20SP1.xls] into Service Pack 1 for MS Windows 7.
I spent hours searching on the Internet for a solution. Although there were some similar cases none of the recommendations actually worked. I tried installing:
    - WiFi driver before installing Bluetooth (someone suggested that those two are the parts of the same card);
    - resuming installation in Safe Mode;
    - *Toshiba Value Added Package* hoping those tools somehow will kick in.
    Nothing worked...
It's interesting that when for the sake of experiment I tried to run installation for my generic Bluetooth adapter (using the driver [for non-TOSHIBA notebooks|http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/index.php?page=download]) then everything run smoothly!
*Using Bluetooth connection on this laptop is very crucial for me.*
I hope I shall not have to return this wonderful notebook as I know TOSHIBA is one of the best manufactures and am sure there is a solution to this problem.
    Thank you very much.
    Evgeny.

For FN functionality you must install Toshba Value added package. Toshiba flash cards utility is part of this package.

  • Re: Error with Bluetooth Stack driver on Protege Z830

Error during installation of Bluetooth Stack for Windows 7 (15/05/12 version) : first driver "Bluetooth USB controller-10" installed correctly but second one "Bluetooth RFBUS" fails.
Consequently Bluetooth does not work. PC says it is not activated (with Fn+F8 or running Bluetooth paramater)
Nota : the Atheros driver is up to date. I have tried with and without the Bluetooth Driver Filter Package 1.0.9.
    What should I do ?
    Thanks !
    PS : Protege Z830 PT224E with windows 7 64 bits

Oh, c'mon, folks, don't be so skeptical when someone reports a problem. What does it matter the reasons we can have reinstalling the bluetooth stack?
The fact is that THERE IS an issue with it. I'm also experiencing this problem the last OFFICIAL update. And I'm using only software provided by the Toshiba drivers download webpage, therefore it SHOULD work, as approved by Toshiba. (Model z830-10F, shipping the Atheros hardware)
When installing the new stack, the Bluetooth RFBUS (driver 8.0.2005.0) shows the typical yellow icon, and the device status reports "this device cannot start (code 10)". You all know how very useful are codes in Windows, don't you? :D
If I try to install any other driver for the RFBUS (from Atheros website for example) it fails saying I have already the latest driver. I've tried installing the Toshiba provided bluetooth stack with and without bluetooth activated in the BIOS, and it makes no difference: the install process gets stuck at some point, and it goes no further, no matter how much I wait.
Then of course I have to kill the process, after which, obviously the install doesn't work properly. Some suggestions about this?
A piece of information which might be interesting: when installing the stack, if I watch closely the device manager, there is a moment when the RFBUS appears and shows up with no problem, but then a moment later in the install process it shows the yellow icon.
Please, no replies like: "reinstall Windows from recovery partition", or "use previous bluetooth stack version". We're too grown up for that, aren't we? ;) Unless, of course, someone can tell me how or where to get the previous stack.
    Thanks.

  • I need to transfer photos from my THC T-Mobile Radar phone to my iMac. I've been given many options referring on the way to do this; Bluetooth, Google Drive, USB cord from phone to Mac...which do you suggest?

I want to transfer photos taken with my Radar Phone (T-Mobile) to my iMac so I can email them to friends. I have been told that I have several options in order to make this happen: Bluetooth, Google Drive, USB cable from phone to iMad, a cloud destination...which is best, and have any of you tried to do this via a Windows phone to a Mac. I'm at [email protected]
    Thank you.

Forget the HTC Sync Manager - it does nothing but lock up and crash everytime I use it.
Instead, get the official "Android File Transfer" application for Macintosh computers from Android.  It opens up your Android device with something that looks just like a Finder, allowing you to copy/move/delete anything.
I was able to backup over 4 GB of photos and videos from HTC One S to my iMac and then delete them from my phone in a matter of minutes...

  • BlueTooth Profile Driver, Windows reserved PSMs range

I have implemented a BT Profile KDMF to simulate a BT HID Keyboard with my desktop machine ( desktop simulates a device ).
I am trying to control an Android device, The Android device is paired with my desktop and lists the virtual BT keyboard under the list of available devices, however, when the Android device is trying to connect to the virtual KeyBoard ( implemented
by my Profile KDMF ) connection is failing with a time out error.
    As others in the forums
    state, The HID PSMs are
reserved for OS usage ( although they are not really used by the OS... ).
    The HID
SDP ( Service Discovery Protocol ) I submit refer to the two custom PSMs I have registered ( with a value higher than the reserved range of 0x0000..0x1000 ).
My guess is that although my SDP specifically refer to the custom SDPs I have registered, the Android device is trying to initiate a L2CAP connection on 0x11 ( Interrupt ) and 0x13 ( Control ) PSMs that are
reserved for OS use ( and are not registered by my driver )
Is there any way to go around this limitation?
It is possible to implement a LowerFilter between bthenum.sys and the BTH Bus controller and/or bthport.sys to re-route/re-name Incoming L2CAP connections with HID PSMs to my registered ( non HID ) PSMs ?
Can BthEnum be replaced with a custom driver? one that will publish only a set of designated services ?
Nadav Rubinstein, See my Blog @
    http://www.sophin.com

    Dear Nadav,
When i try to regsiter PSM 0x11 it gives me STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER error (0xc000000d).
But what i think is if PSM 0x11 is already regsitered then i should get STATUS_ALREADY_COMMITED error(oxc0000021)?
Below mentioned is the code snippet where iam trying to register PSM 0x11 in Bluetooth Profile driver.
    DevCtx->Header.ProfileDrvInterface.BthReuseBrb(

  • help please Bluetooth Headset on X200s - Broadcom Windows 7 Driver Not Installing

So just installed Win7 RTM (v 7600) on a X200s. I have a Plantronics 510 Bluetooth headset that I use for VOIP. I followed the connecting instructions (just as I've successfully done with other Lenovos) and gone through 1 failed attempt (which happened on the RC version 7100 too). WIn7 happily recommends I download the newest Broadcom Driver at http://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth/update.php
I download this driver install kit and when I attempt to install it I get an error immediately. (this worked fine for me on my old X61s)
"The program cannot upgrade your software. Please contact the manufacturer of your bluetooth device for support."
The problem with this is that Plantronics relies on the built in BT driver to work. I had a challenge on my older X61s (discovered it wasn't installing due to internal firewall issues) but knowing that, I took the X200s home and tried the install at home, off of corp net.
I've been able to connect successfully to other Bluetooth devices (like my mobile phone) but the BT headset won't take any drivers. Broadcom's "support" is anything but supportive.
I've uninstalled (through device manager) the BT Peripheral Device & scanned for hardware changes. Still get the same failure.
Anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone run into this problem also and found a solution or workaround?  Thanks in advance.
    Windows 7 Build 7100
    X61S

On my X200t with W7 RTM x64 I came across the same issue.
First I went through the process of trying the W7 beta from Broadcom with the same result.
Then I used the unpacked driver-only from the lastest official Lenova Vista X64 package, which allowed it at least to be properly recognized. The headset however remained fully unoperable.
I ended with a full install of the Vista X64 package and now the headset works fine. Not a single issue anymore.

  • G710 Windows 7 Pro x64 Bluetooth + Wireless driver install errors (can't install)

    Hi all,
I've recently just purchased the G710 i3 model as a birthday gift for my dad. It originally came with Windows 8 installed but my father prefers Windows 7 so I've installed this on a SSD (replacing the 1TB drive).
After updating Windows 7 Professional x64 with updates via ethernet I started to install all the drivers in the following order:
note: downloaded x64 drivers (for obvious reasons)
    chipset
graphics (intel hd4600 first followed by nvidia gt 720m)
    NIC LAN
    Audio
Bluetooth and Wireless (won't work - see below for errors)
    Touchpad
    Card Reader
    Webcam
    Intel Management Engine (ME)
Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver (RST)
BatteryCare (replacing the Lenovo Energy Management)
I've downloaded all from the Lenovo web site except up to date Chipset, ME and RST from Intel.
All drivers except for the Bluetooth and Wireless have installed fine. All Fn keys work except for the "Airplane Mode" (guessing due to the driver not being installed).
These are the following errors I get:
    http://i618.photobucket.com/albums/tt265/aniceguy85/forums_keep/x64_error01.png~original
after clicking on OK ... I get the following
    http://i618.photobucket.com/albums/tt265/aniceguy85/forums_keep/x64_error02.png~original
after clicking on OK ... there is another message displayed in the CMD window directly underneath the 1st one which is exactly the same text. Both windows then immediately close.
I tried the 32 bit version of the driver and got exactly the same result.
Can this be fixed so it can work? I'm hoping it's not just me.
Thanks for any help in advance, Pete

    hi pete_agreatguy,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
The extraction maybe looking at a missing folder.
    When you downloaded the driver

When you doubleclick it it should pop up a winodw where you hit next , agree then it shows a page where you can see a box with a browse button. can you share if you are getting that?

  • PCS no longer sees Bluetooth Widcomm driver

    Hi
I have a 6230i and a Safecom BT dongle using the Widcomm 1.4.2 build 10 BT driver s/w on Vista.
This all used to work OK, but after installing PCS v6.85.14.1, the Nokia Connection Manager now no longer shows the Bluetooth (Widcomm) option - just the Bluetooth (Microsoft) option. If I try to check the MS option, I get the "Cannot use the connection type ... Code (OpenMedia)" error.
I've tried all sorts of repairing and uninstalling BT & PCS s/w but to no avail.
Any ideas why PCS no longer seems to recognise the Widcomm BT driver?

i have the same exact problem, i used to have the old version of nokia pc suite which worked fine. but one day i updted the suite and then the connection manager failed to recognize the widcomm driver..i tried everything .. uninstalling and reinstalling the suite, the driver everything. notice that the ms bluetooth places can see the mobile and connect to it .. but i need to sync my calender through ms outlook.
i have posted my problem /discussions/board/message?board.id=connectivity&thread.id=13360
but no reply at all .. i believe its a bug in the nokia pc suite.
    good luck

  • Unable to load bluetooth device driver to xfer files

On W500 and T61P attempt to connect a Samsung SGH T809 phone using bluetooth. Device is seen at both PC and phone using bluetooth. Win 7 OS. When it connects it loads the Modem, and other device drivers but fails to load one of the peripheral device drivers. Windows Update fails to find missing driver. Help says incompatible with level of Operating System.
Went to Lenovo site and downloaded latest bluetooth drivers. All but one of them load. Not able to do any file transfers from the phone although did send an image file (jpeg) to the phone. Could not find it after it was sent. Seems to be a PC and not a phone problem. What gives?

I'm having the same problem on my W500 running Win 7 Pro/64-bit..  I have also updated the drivers per the Lenovo  support site.   My PC recognizes my Apple iphone 5 have successfully paired them, but we have the dreaded yellow exclamation flag reflecting the fact that there are no drivers for file transfer (shows also in Device Manager).  Able to play music from iphone to PC, but not able to transfer files.
This also happens when I attempt to pair with another bluetooth equipped PC, so obviously the problem is not with the phone.  Trouble shooter shows "The driver for VOB instantDrive Controller is not installed"
Any suggesstions?  Is this simply an unsupported feature?
