Broke my iPhone screen and also can't restore ?
So i dropped my iPhone 4 on accident. Like half of the screen cracked. Anyway, when i tried to turn it back on it wouldn't. It kind of just turned a light black. I called it & can hear the ringtone & also when i get emails. The touch screen doesn't work though i can't unlock it or anything like that. I tried restoring it & updating it but i need the passcode & i can't put it in.. So what's wrong with my iPhone? Do i need a new screen or do i just need a new iPhone in general. I don't mind the crack so much but yeah. I still have the 1 year warranty but i don't think that matters. Help
Accidental damage is not covered by warranty. An out of warranty replacement phone is $149.

Since the screen doesn't work, it will be challenging to get it working, even thru iTunes. You will need to ask yourself if you want to invest more money in it or get a new one, especially since the contents will be lost since you don't know the passcode. Apple will gladly replace the screen for a cost that represents a significant portion of the price of a new. Once the screen is done, you may or may not be eligible for the free iPhone 5 Battery Replacement Program.
Or, if you decide to salvage it and are strong of heart and firm of hand, you can replace the screen yourself for less. See here and note they carry kits with all needed tools and parts. -
What is going on with mobile me? All I get is the find iphone screen and I can't switch apps to read mail.
MobileMe is working partially, Apple says some users can't access to the web-apps (Mail, Calendar, etc.). In my case is working fine in my iPhone, in Outlook 2010, and I can only access the Mail app (Calendar and other functions are not working!).

i broke my iphone screen and sent it to a local iphone screen fixer just before i updated my iphone to ISO5. then i had a passcode on my iphone before and when my phone came back i could not access it, becuase it was dissabled so i cant put in my pass code and cant put it into itunes. HELP!?

Hi there, My american relaitive came to visit australia and gave me an iPhone for a presant and the other day I was walking and had my iPhone in my pocket and fell over and cracked my screen next to the right of the menu button and I dont know how to go about getting it fixed.

I have changed my iphone 4 due to a lost.. Therefore I had to restore my back up from iTunes to the new phone, but my photos library has not been synchronized.. what is the reson for that and could anyone tell me how to restore that if it is possible to do that..
well how would you expect to get those photos back if you didn't import them to your computer as recommended?

Broken iphone screen and backing up
I broke my iphone screen, and i can't see anything. the screen is partially coming off. i never had the chance to back it up before and didn't know how to. i just tried to back it up but its telling me i need to enter in my password in order to back it up, Is there any other way to get my pictures onto my computer?
No. Frequent backups of any device that can easily be droped, broken, or damaged should have been performed. If you failed to do this, then your data are gone.

I just broke my iPhone 5 and can't see the screen. I haven't backed up my iPhone to iCloud yet. Is there a way I can remotely back it up so I can restore my new phone (once I get it) faster?
If you plug your phone into your computer you can sync and backup so that when you get the new phone you can restore from a backup instead of setting it up as a new iphone

A few months back I Dropped my iPhone 4 and I cracked my screen and now i cant unlock my phone due to touch screen not working plus there are blurred lines across the screen and I can't see anything that it displays.
Now when I try too connect my iPhone 4 to iTunes on my computer at home an error message comes up saying that I have to unlock my iPhone 4 for it to communicate to my device.
But the problem is that I can't unlock my iPhone 4 because I'm unable to see the key pad and my touch screen no longer responds when I touch it.
I just want to reset my iPhone 4 back to its Factory Settings & start all over from the beginning.
How can I unlock my iPhone 4 with iTunes on my computer or any other option you suggest me trying.

If Verizon return it to Apple it wil not be handled by Apple
If Verizon also use unauthorised repairers you may be lucky

i have an iPhone 4s, when I tried to use control center to skip songs (>> or << signs) or when my phone is locked, i double press the home screen, i also can't skip songs. what's going on? please help me. i know the skip is being pressed because the sign lit up, but the song didn't skip. please help. thank you.
I am having the same problem with my Iphone 4. After update the phone will not control audio from the control center (Friend with Iphone 4S is having same issue). Tried to reset phone and it started working "once". Next time I tried to use the control center it didn't work again. Their needs to be some kind of a fix for this?

after updates to ios 5.1.1...i can't add or edit my contacts and also can't take a photo at my contact lists. The '+' icon is suddenly disappear from my screen...anybody can assist me on this issue?

In addition to my last post, here is the solution for fixing this problem without syncing your contacts with icloud.
It takes about 2 minutes and permanently solves the problem so you can start adding and editing your contacts again on IOS 5.1.1!
Basically you just need to follow these steps from the Settings page:
Enable Airplane Mode
Go to iCloud settings
Turn on Contacts
Agree to 'Merge Contact'
Wait for pop up to confim iCloud contacts are on
Turn off Contacts
Confirm that you want to Keep your Contact on the iPhone
Wait for pop up to confim iCloud contacts are off
Disable Airplane Mode
Airplane Mode temporarily blocks all phone signal/data to stop your contacts merging with icloud.

Hi. My phone screen broke and I had it replaced from a phone shop. The guy said that while changing the screen and phone was blocked. It is now disabled for like 23,000,000 minutes and I can't restore it cause I dont have all the data sync to my computer. Is there anything I can do or can Apple do something if I give them the correct password?
As you had the iPhone opened by an unauthorised repairer ( Apple do not replace screens on iPhone 4)
Apple will not provide any service or support
Take it back to the "phoneShop" and tell them to fix it

It sounds like you are clicking your device in iTunes but it is disappearing and preventing you from backing up your decive. I would recommend the troubleshooting in the following article to help troubleshoot the issue named:

Hi, just bought my daughter an Iphone 4s and I can't get it to let her on youtube, Facebook etc., keeps saying no internet connection. My husband and I have 3G smartphones and we can get on them on ours, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Also, my other daughter has the same phone and has no trouble getting on these sites either.
