I have been working with the router, and I have verified the Hardware % configuration, but I think that the problem is in your motherboard, after a lot of testing, what do you think about it?

Hi, this output is normal. No problems are shown.
I suggest you to upgrade IOS with a fresh release, e.g. 12.4.

Hi i just bought a wireless router and i cannot get it to...

i just bought a wireless router and i cannot get it to work. it is a wrt54g v6. the power light keeps flashing. I tried talking with linksys to get it fixed, but nothing is working. it says to disconnect from the modem and update my firmware, but i cant get the IP address to come up on the address bar. can someone please help me out.

If you have just bought the router and it has a flashing power light return the router. It is not worth trying to revive a broken router in that case. Return the router and get a properly working one. I would not want to start with a broker router even if you may be able to revive it. You'll never know what caused the problem and whether you will have more issues later.

Dlsw spanning-tree

Hi, my name is fabio and i´ve a problem with dlsw.
When i´ve configured de dlsw in a router 3600 the router 7206 that has the conection with mainframe, the same lost the comunication e appears the messagem in 3600 router, look at below:
Note: A random Spanning Tree Bridge Identifier address of 0000.0cfe.6628
has been chosen for Bridge Group 50 since there is no mac address
associated with the selected interface.
I´am putting the scheme in .ppt.
Can i sending configurations of 3600 and 7200 to help you.

I'm not sure what the issue is here. The mac-address of the end-stations will not be visible in the 4948 as the SNA traffic is encaps'd in ip. Can you supply sh vers, sh runn, sh dlsw pe, sh dls reach, sh dls circuit, sh bri from the 3640 and the 7206. What is the mac-address of the end-station to which mac-address is it trying to connect ?

IPsec Site-to-Site with RSA sign stuck on MM_KEY_EXCH

I am currently studying for CCNA Security, and i would like to be able to configure a Site-to-Site VPN with RSA sig with a windows server 2012 acting as AD and CA. I already have enable scep on windows server 2012 and disable the enrollement challenge password.
Since two days, i am completly stuck on MM_KEY_EXCH error.

VoIP Tandem

Hi,
I am looking for a sample configuration where a router acts as a tandem for a voip call. Below is the scenario:
(1111)phone --- (FXS)Router ------ Router (3600) ----- Router (2600) (FXS) ---Phone (2222)
For example if the "1111" user dials 2222, the call should be forwarded to 3600 voip router, which checks for the destination number if it is "2222" then it should forward the call to Router#2 2600.
Can anyone provide be some pointers for a sample configuration on the dial-peers that are to be configured on 3600 tandem router.

i havent seen this kind of scenario though the dialed numbers will be intaken at the (FXS) Router itself.
Then thts the one which will forward to the remote peer matching the Dial peer with session target ip.
so i dont think the 3600 will come into picture ,ofcourse it will act as a facilitator between both the (FXS) Router by forwarding the packets between them.
suggest to search in technology support (in cisco.com) u may find one not sure though..

Doubts about serial /dev/term/a

My name is Jasiel Alcantara.
I work at the Brazil Air Force.
I'm contacting you in order to get help to solve a (maybe) solaris problem
We have 7 sparcstations 5, each one with 2 serial aurora connected in it.
Close to the sparcs we have a Router-3600-cisco.
All the sparcs use the software Solaris2.6.
We connected the serial aurora to the async serial 71 (that uses encapsulation bstun) on the Router and
started to send messages.
When we send from 1 to 1499 characters, everything is ok; with the
command "sh int async 71 acc" we can see the router receiving the
amount of characters we sent, without problems.
When we send 1500 the Router receive 0 (doesn't receive anyone).
When we send more than 1500 characters, the Router receive the amount
of characters that are after 1500.
Example: When we send 1600 the Router receive 100 and so on.
We got the cable that was connecting aurora to the Router and connected
the serial a (/dev/term/a) from the sparc to the Router and we could see the same problem if the text has more than 1499 characters;
Our next experience was to connect a serial from the Personal Computer
(using Hyperterm) to the Router.
Then we could send any quantity of characters without problems.
The only difference between the reception from aurora or serial-sparc and Personal Computer can be seen with the command "sh int async 71 acc" that shows the same quantity of characters but different quantity of packages.
When receiving from Personal computer we have the average of 20 packages to 1400 characters and when receiving from sparc or aurora we have 1 (one) package, doesn't matter if it is 1, 400, 1499 characters.
I'll be glad answering any questions.

i need to know will cisco 3600 series router support 4 to 6 E1 for voice over IP using ISDN or PRI singnaling if 2-Port E1 Multiflex Trunk Voice/WAN Interface Cards (VWICs)is used in three slots provided by 3600 routers

For Cisco 3600 routers to support VOIP you need to have NM-HDA module to provide DSP support without which VOIP can not be handled on 3600 series routers.Maximum Number of NM-HDAs Allowed in 3640 routrer is 3 and 3660 router is 6.So you can use either 3640 or 3660.

XOT/X.25 performance on 3600 router

Hi all,
I have a very big problem. I have configured a 3600 Cisco router with X.25 hunt-group to loadbalance traffic on several X.25 line. On the LAN side, i have configured XOT to transport X.25 over TCP till our mainframe. On the same router, i have also configurated SNAsw to transport SNI and QLLC traffic.
This configuration works , therefore i have a problem of performance. When the mainframe send a X25 call, it is OK. But when the mainframe send 2 or more simultaneous X.25 flows, the router drop X.25 flows.
Here in copy show tech and log .
should i enter:
x25 routing use-tcp-if-defs*
and put hold-queue to 60000 in/out?

Router antenna broke, what are my options?

So the router fell of the desk and broke the antenna in 2 pieces. The antenna is useless now, I barely get any signal at all on my wireless. Is there any kind of warrant or insurance on these devices where I can get it replaced for free or do I need to just go buy a new one on my own?

You could try asking Verizon support if they'll send you a new antenna. They might even swap out the router if you have a really old one. But this is just a guess; you'll have to ask them to know for sure.
In the meantime, you might find a paper clip provides a slight improvement over nothing.
You can buy an antenna online for a few dollars. You could also try a thrift shop; you might find an old router for a few bucks and buy it just for the antenna.
If you buy a new antenna, make sure you get the right connector. They are faille standard, however if you don't pay attention you may get the wrong one.

Route add/delete broke my networking

I have run into a networking problem on my cluster, and I cannot figure out what changed.
I had a cluster configured and working. Its access network is 192.168.10.0/24. I have other networks, including a node management network on 10.29.130.0/24. The access network is private to my lab; it's here I have my AD defined.
The management network is a 'lab' network that has a gateway available so we can access the lab from our corporate network with no issues. In other words, the access network is only routed within my private lab, but the management network can be routed
to corporate access.
But, as you know, Windows simply doesn't like creating two different networks with default gateways. So before building the cluster, I removed the gateway from the management network, ensuring there was only a single gateway configured on each host.
Ran the validation and it came through fine (typical network warnings about non-routed networks not able to reach other networks, but that is expected and presents no problems). Built the cluster.
I wanted to try to create an environment that would allow me to access the physical hosts through the management network, so I tried issuing a route add command specific to the management network.
route add 10.29.130.0 mask 255.255.255.0 10.29.130.1 if 3
It didn't work as expected (I am by no means a networking expert, but I figured I would try it.) Since it didn't work, I deleted it.
route delete 10.29.130.0 mask 255.255.255.0 10.29.130.1 if 3
Came back and ran another validation wizard on the cluster and now the validation fails with the following error (to each of the other nodes in the cluster):
Network interfaces FT4-Infra01.VSPEX.COM - Mgmt and FT4-Infra03.VSPEX.COM - Mgmt are on the same cluster network, yet address 10.29.130.37 is not reachable from 10.29.130.35 using UDP on port 3343.
I check my firewall, and those ports are open on all node for all firewall profiles. From FT4-Infra01 (the machine I was messing with), I can ping the other nodes of the cluster. From the other nodes in the cluster, I cannot ping FT4-Infra01.
Yes, I know ping is a different rule, but I always go back to basics. And the fact that it is not responding to pings after playing with the route is strange.
Does anybody have any ideas about what playing with the route command could have changed? I am assuming that is the cause because everything worked fine before issuing the command and now these errors are there. No other changes were made to
the cluster or the nodes.

Old router broke - got new one and having trouble getting wireless to work

Hi -I've had a 1st gen ATV for about a year. I've had difficulties when my router gets disconnected or something for a while. I had it replaced today. Now I'm having a problem getting the aTV to hook up wifi.
Everything runs perfectly streaming from my computer (PC) when hooked up with ethernet. But when I disconnect - the screen does not show the router address or the dns address and the connection is lost. I know its an easy fix but I can't for the life of me figure out what to do. I'm ok with a computer but not totally tech savvy.
I've tried shutting down my router firewall and my computer firewall. I tried as suggested on the site to add the MAC info. When i run the wireless set up - it sees my new router (2wire) and goes thru that, then it says it connected or something but that I am not connected to the internet. It gives me the option to do that and it appears to work but then no router or DNS info and therefore it won't work.
Can you help?

is there any manual setting of the IP address setup on the Apple TV? If it is stuck with an old Manual setup on it, it could be not getting the new assignment from your Router.... is the router setup with DHCP enabled? Have you verified that you can connect to the internet from any other device such as an iPad, iPhone, Macbook, Notebook or wifi anything other than the apple tv?

Modem/router broke

I have to reset my router everyday,sometimes more just to get my speed up. I'm online and I can't find a contact number that does'nt want me to pay a fee?

I broke my iPhone 4s screen, i gave it for repairing & before i gave it for repairing my wifi was working totally fine & now all of sudden my iPhone cant detect any wifi, it would only detect if iPhone is placed beside router! Is it hardware prob?

If yes than the repairer wont take the responsibility & is denying that it is hardware problem! what should i do?

Pursue the matter with whoever repaired your iPhone. When you had
an unauthorized service open your iPhone, you voided your warranty.
Most likely the repair knocked something else loose in the iPhone or otherwise
damaged the hardware.
