broke the screen on my ipod 4 and I have warranty you can get right

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. If a 4G the price is $199 for 64 GB one and $99 for the other 4Gs. They do not fix yours.

hey i broke the screen on my ipod touch 4th Gen and im trying to do a backup on the data but it says I need to enter a passcode on my ipod but the screen dosent work so what can I do.

You can't backup the iPod t iTunes then. You will have to use an existing iTunes backup.
If iCloud backup is turned on and the iPod is still working (not disabled), the iPod will automatically backup daily if an internet connection is available and the iPod is connected to a charging source.

Enter your iPad's serial number in the following page: https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do
Your warranty and service options will appear. If you purchased AppleCare+ (AppleCare Plus) you may be in luck.
If you do not know its serial number you can find it stored in your last iTunes backup:
Open iTunes on the computer you used to sync the iPad and select Preferences…from the iTunes menu. (In Windows, choose Edit > Preferences.)
Select the Devices pane. Position the cursor over any of its backups. The iPad's serial number will appear in a popup window.

  • TS3274 My ipad display will not function, the screen will not display anything when turned on, you can see that the screen lights up but it is completely black

The screen on my iPad will not display, the screen lightens up when powered on but the screen stays black, any fix for this that I can do at home?

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

  • Went off the screen of my ipod and not returned to light.

What I can do?, Any similar case?, No solution or should take it to a service technician?

    Try in oreder:
    - Resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Next restore the iPod via iTunes on your computer.  First restore from backup.  If problem persists restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
    - If still problem, you likely have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Hi I have a MacBook Pro 2011 i7 and it stays on for about 4 hours then the screen go's fuzzy and I have to turn it off by the power button has anyone had this problem thanks mike

I Have a MacBook Pro i7 2011 it stays on for about 4 hours then the screen go's all fuzzy and I have to turn it off by the power button has any body else had this problem thanks mike

My guess would also be a failling connection between your logicboard and your GPU. See 2011 MacBook Pro and Discrete Graphics Card
For most users it starts with some random crashes and freezes like you describe it. And then it just gets worse and worse. There are still no "good" solutions, sadly. This is a hardware problem from the production.

  • All my videos downloaded from Itunes will no longer play. I can hear the sound from them however, the screen goes bright green and begins to flash. Can anyone help with this problem.

Green screen on videos. I have a MAC, please help.

    Morning brandyfields05,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For No video or flickering, take a look at this article:

    Reset the system
You can reset the Mac's parameter RAM and SMC.
    Reset the resolution
Start by resetting the Mac's parameter RAM. If the display does not come up, was previously set to an unsupported resolution, and still results in no video:
              1.          Start up in Safe Mode.
              2.          From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
              3.          Choose Displays from the View menu to open the preferences pane.
              4.          Select any resolution and refresh rate that your display supports.
              5.          Restart your computer.
    Best of luck,
    Mario

i locked myself out of my ipod because i forgot my password. any way of me reseting it from my computer? its not my personal compouter that i have my own itunes on though. HELP!

Since you will not be using your syncing computer,
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

  • I just bought my first Ipod and i have a QUESTION can anybody pliz answer ?

Ok so i have like 30 videos in my imac that i have purchased from itunes. I moved all of my videos to my ipod the first day i bought it. So here's my question...i already have all the videos in my ipod, If i erase them from my imac can i transfer them later from my ipod to my computer again or i can't do that ??? I just want to know that because i'm planning to buy more videos (as soon as Apple fixes Itunes) and i don't want to use that much memory from my imac......

The basic answer is no, (although I note what turingtest2 says - and tt2 is far wiser than me!)you cannot transfer music or videos from an iPod to iTunes. Other people can and probably will point you to software that helps you recover files lost from your computer but still on your iPod, so there is a way, but... (I'm not sure what that software is, someone else can post that info though)
The best way to manage your iPod (which you may already be using) is to use the Sync function which automatically manages the content of the iPod and is much less hassle (for you) and a better method than *Manually Manage your iPod* . But Sync relies on the vidoes and music being in your library _every time_ you Sync. If you remove/delete items from the library, Sync will also remove them from your iPod the next time.
Also, it is very unwise to delete purchased music or videos from your computer, leaving them only on your iPod. If you iPod fails, is dropped and therefore broken beyond use or stolen, you lose everything. The nature of an iPod, that is being carried around, stuffed in pockets and bags and a visual temptation for thieves means that it does happen.
Finally, there are occasions when an iPod may need to be Restored. I have not had to perform this on either of my iPods, but it does happen, so it's wise to assume that your iPod may need Restoring one day, and this procedure deletes everything from the iPod, seeting it back to factory settings. Having Restored an iPod, a new Sync will then automatically put all the content in your Library back on your iPod without you having to manually move each and every file yourself.
So my advice is don't delete the videos. Perhaps you could install an external hard drive to increase your storage, I assume that's easy with a iMAC.

  • Bad Service and customer service if you can get ahold of them!

Anyone else out there having problems with their service? The service use to be great but now my phone barely stays in 4g. When I try to call them I have to wait more then 20mins to get no one....I swear this cell provider is going downhill real freaking fast and I'm about to jump ship!!!

What you have encountered is a security feature called activation lock. An iPad running iOS 7 cannot be reset to a new user without the previous owner releasing the device by turning off Find My iPhone or entering their Apple ID and password.
The best thing you can do is to try an contact the person you bought the iPad from and get a refund. Chances are the iPad was stolen.

  • HT4890 I received a pop up on my ipad saying Not Enough Memory with two choices, Close or Settings. When I touch either button on the screen nothing happens. It seems that the screen is frozen. Does anyone know how I can get rid of this pop up.

I received a pop up box saying Not Enough Storage with two choices. Close or Settings but when I tough either one nthing is happening and my ipad seems to be frozen
Has any one got an idea?

Reset it by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release.

  • Can I fix the screen on my iPod touch 4th gen?

The screen is basically spiderwebbed and I know that you can affordability replace yourself or get an expert to replace the screens on second and third gens. But can it be done with a 4th gen. and if so how much would it cost?

    - To fix yourself see:

It says where to get parts.
    - Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $99, $149 or $199 depending upon the capacity.
