Broken ADOBE Link for CS3 System Requirements?

The link for general CS3 systemm requirements at
http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/systemreqs seems to work, but ...
Does this link, http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/dvhdwrdb.html for
the full compatible hardware listing for the video card work for you?
It crashes my browser.
James

The 2-nd link works, but only shows up to CS2, not CS3.

  • Adobe CS5 Master Collection System Requirements - A Mistake?

    http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/mastercollection
I am a student who purchased Adobe CS5 Master Collection a few weeks back.
Before purchasing the product I looked at the system requirements at the link above.
I thought, "Cool! That's not too hectic, I have enough cash to build a computer with those system specs."
So I went and bought Adobe CS5 Master Collection, all amped up and ready to get a computer for it, excited to start learning the program.
Looking at different options around the specs, in Adobe's link above, I started asking questions, and soon I was advised by many users that those specs WOULDN'T do it for Adobe CS5 Master Collection.
Looking at my budget, comparing it to the suggested builds in this Forum, I am now depressed, because the cheapest Budget Build is way out of range of my budget.
I feel let down, because I purchased a program with the trust that Adobe provided those system requirements SO THAT the program can run nicely on those specs.
    So my question:
WHY are the system requirements, at the link above, 2GB of RAM (4 or more reccommended) and Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Phenom II, if there are so many warnings on this and other forums that those specs will not be enough? (The Budget Build in this Forum suggests a quad core and 8GB of RAM)
Does this mean that had I bought a computer going on the specs provided in Adobe's link above, say a Core 2 Duo and 4GB of RAM, that I then would NOT have been able to get started nicely, learning and working with Adobe CS5 Master Collection?

Thanks for the new article "System requirements for CS5" at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/810750?tstart=0 !
I really appreciate it very much. I found it very informative and it helped me understand the topic so much better.
I hope that it will be included in the overview tab for other newbies like me.

This article helped me understand how things have changed since CS5's release and what it means for my system setup.

JerryK wrote:They do not all seem consistent with each other, and so can be confusing for users looking to put together a new pc.
Now that I have read several articles and discussions in this Forum, my understanding is that the reason why they may "not all seem consistent with each other" is because of the fact that the nature of each one's editing projects vary from one another which have a major impact on the hardware required to run projects effectively. So what works for one does not work for another.
Yes, at this stage I do indeed find it VERY confusing as a newbie looking to put together a new PC, within my budget.
However, I understand now that it would be hard for anyone to come up with a list of systems that will guarantee specific performance within specific budgets, because there are too many variables at play.
The reality is that there are newbies who are just starting out for the first time, having no clue what all Adobe is about and what they can and are going to do with the program.
I think that newbies like me who have to settle for a very low budget PC at first, just to get started, have to content with the AWARENESS that their system will allow only so much performance and nothing more.
It would be nice if there were benchmark results of low budget PC's for beginners working with DV and HD, to help them at least not buy utterly useless systems, but systems that, though not super fast, will perform tasks specified in such a benchmark, with an added note that while using such a low budget PC (for the purpose of at least getting started with some projects as newbies/students), they could read about upgrades and start saving their coins for upgrades.
Thank you for your answer in post 8:

With a sufficiently capable CPU, no problem, provided you have the right disk I/O system and memory as well, yes.
Based on the Adobe minimum requirements, no way. Even a single application like PR with AVCHD codec material will effectively come to a halt. Multi-tasking DW and PS is doable on such a system.
    My newbie question:
With reference to post 7 and 8 above, if you can suggest a CPU, memory and disk I/O system for my present specific need, as described in 7 above, i.e. multi-tasking Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Flash, please do. I will view your suggestion(s) in this case as guide lines.

  • Questions on the capabilities of the Adobe media server and system requirements

    Hello
We need to send multiple video streams on different computers and screens in our organization. To do this, we need a dedicated server with the following functionality:
    - transmit up to ten (or even more) HD and FullHD streams simultaneously
    - manage playlists in real time without relaunching stream every time after adding items to the playlist
    - imposing of any text and video effects
    - use a variety of sources: a folder with pictures for the slideshow, video and audio files, video capture devices, video streaming from other resources
Is Adobe media server suitable for our tasks?
What are the system requirements (I do not mean minimum requierements)?
If we buy adobe media server, will it be enough? Or we will have to buy additional software products to provide all the necessary functionality?
    Thank you.

    1 and 2 is possible
    3 is not
4 AMS is not an encoder and does not encode or create streams. You have to use other software for that.Adobe FMLE is for live streaming...Use third part software like manycam(a virtual webcam on your machine) to generate video sources out of slide shows.

  • Adobe after effects cs6 system requirements

    Hi,
I would like to purchase the adobe master collection cs6, but I wonder if my laptop matches the system requirements, specially my graphic card (with Adobe after effects or adobe premiere pro)
    my laptop:
    Win 7 64 bits
    Intel Core 2 Duo CPU
    P7450 2.13 GHz
    4 Go RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500 Series
Could you please tell me your opinion?
    thanks a lot

The graphics card will work for normal OpenGL acceleration, but not anything else. Anything with CUDA will require an NVidia card. Read the system specs here and here. What's not listed there, is not supported for GPU accelerated raytracing or Mercury Playback. It's that simple. All that aside, it's simply not gonna be fun to run eitehr of the programs on your system. The processor is just weak and 4GB is not much on a 64bit system.

  • Scanning photos and Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 system requirements

    Hello all-
A long, involved question here, so bear with me.
I have a Power Mac G4, still working fine even though it's almost 8 years old.
I want to scan a number of photos for use in a Final Cut Pro 5 project. (I have an Epson Workforce 610 all-in-one scanner). If I understand correctly, the scanner will scan in square pixels, which is no good for video, so I will need to re-save the images in non-square pixels (or rectangular pixels with an 0.9 PAR?). I will also probably want to touch up/re-size a number of the image stills.
It seems to me that I could do this in Adobe Photoshop Elements, only my G4 doesn't have the necessary system requirements. Elements 9 needs a higher operating system, which I can't get because my G4 doesn't have an Intel processor. A side issue is that I also don't have a very large hard drive since the computer is so old (75 GB, about 15 GB free). But I plan to alter the images and then save them to an external drive which has plenty of space.
What to do? I have I-photo '09, but that doesn't seem to have the same functionality as Photoshop Elements 9. Should I try to get an old version of Elements on ebay? Do past versions of Elements have the option of converting from square to non-square pixels? Will past versions of Elements even work on my G4? (I read something which suggested that really old versions, like Elements 2, might not).
Any other options? (Short of buying a new computer, which I don't really want to do).
    Thoughts? Advice?
Thanks in advance for any and all help. I'm going to post this in a couple of different forums since I'm not exactly sure where the right place to ask this question is.
    --Roop

    Hi there,
I've read it can be done in FCP, perhaps an older version of that.
    What speed is your G4?
Have you tried it in iMovie 06 HD?
I wonder if GraphicConverter can do it...

  • Need download link for CS3 Web Premium Mac

Hi there. My MacBook was stolen. I replaced it, and I need to re-download CS3 Web Premium. Adobe provides this link:

However, the CS3 Web Premium link for Mac here goes to an error message page.

Adobe customer support could not help me.
Does anyone here know where I can find a link to this software?
    Thank you so much!

Try using a different browser.  If I use the link you indicate it opens a download dialogue.
An alternate site for downloading Adobe software is ProDesignTools (The downloads are still thru the Adobe server).
You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.

We purchased CS3 several years ago.  Now that we have a new computer we need to install it, however, I cannot find the download links anywhere.  I have our serial number.  The person on chat said this in no longer available and we have to upgrade to CS6 or CC.  Is this true?  I sure hope not.  We are not ready and I would like to use the software we have paid for.  Please if anyone knows where we can find a valid link to download CS3 please let us know.
    Thanks

  • Elements 6 for Mac - System Requirements

I currently have a Power PC Mac (OSX 10.4.11) on which I run Elements 4 for Mac.
I have on order an Intel Core 2 Duo Mac which will have OSX 10.5.5.
Elements 4 will not run on the Intel Core 2 Duo Mac because it appears to be for Power PC Macs only.
The System Requirements for Elements 6 appears to indicate that it will only run on OS 10.4.8 through 10.5.2.
Unless I am missing something fundamental it appears that there is no version of Elements which I will be able to run on my new Mac computer. It seems strange that the latest incarnation of Elements for Mac will not run on the latest operating system.
Am I understanding the position correctly ?
    D J Hales (UK)

I have installed PSE 6 on my mac with 10.5.6. I installed on the admin account and it works fine on that account, however, it does not work completely on the primary account - the effects, themes, layouts, etc. do not appear on the left hand side, just the boxes for them. Any ideas? I did uninstall and reinstall on the primary account, still no success.
    Thanks. S. Dobe

  • Cs3 system requirement questions

Am thinking there may be a few questions on this topic where
    the sys req.
have increased and some more OS versions are not supported.
Seems like a short time ago that dw3 ran like a champ on 32
    megs of ram...
My question will the web or print design bundle run okay on
    an AMD athlon
2200 with 1.25 gig ram with XP Pro fully updated/patched?
a search at adobe using athlon / cs3 found a note that some
    features of
Premiere in the video bundle won't work on that cpu. Don't do
    video so no
problem i guess. So i could assume the machine will run
    indesign/dreamweaver/photoshop/fireworks/illustrator with no
    more than usual

  • Broken Download Link for Illustrator CS3

Needing to reinstall Illustrator CS3, I went to the Adobe website to download the installer, and the link is broken. Please fix the link!
    http://esd.adobe.com/Applications/Illustrator/CS3/Mac/ADBEILSTCS3_WWE.dmg
    Thanks.

    Hi Pat
When I click on the link to download Illustrator on the page you sent, I get the following error message:
    HTTP ERROR: 404 /support/downloads/dlm/main.jsp
    RequestURI=/support/downloads/dlm/main.jsp
Any tips why that might be?
I tried multiple browsers, multiple computers, multiple apps in the CS3 collection… they all give the same error. Tried a VPN from a different country. Nothing. Turned off all extensions in my browser: Nada.

  • Link for CS3 Design Premium for Mac appears broken.

    I get "HTTP ERROR: 404 /support/downloads/dlm/main.jsp  RequestURI=/support/downloads/dlm/main.jsp" when I click on it.

The link is not likely the problem.  Make sure you have cookies enabled and clear your cache.  If it continues to fail try using a different browser.

  • Adobe Illustrator CC Typical System Requirement

Hello everyone, I'm looking for a new computer for better working experience. I have difficulty to run AI CC on my current computer. It keep not responding all the time which cause me unable to do my work smoothly. It can't even save a file with size 9MB.
Here is my current computer specification:
    Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit
    Model Optiplex 3020
    Intel (R) Core(TM) i3-4150 CPU @ 3.50GHz
    RAM 5.00 GB
I need your suggestion on computer specification to use AI CC smoothly, minimum specification can't help to solve my problem, thank you

Well, here is some hard, painful truth for you: Your system should handle AI just fine. Not as in "It's fun", but as in "it's okay". So whatever issues you have are specific and quite likely caused by external influences like a badly fragmented disk, other system processes gobbling up resources, security tools blocking file access and so on. Without figuring these things out, buying a new system may not do anything for you, since the same issues may just reappear if you duplicate this messed up configuration. So by all means first try to bring your system up to speed based on some of what I'm explaining here:
