Broken connection in the middle of large download

I recently purchased a HP laptop, Windows 7. I added it my wireless system BEFWS4 V4. It works just fine with downloading most things. But the connection is interrupted in the middle of large downloads such as a movie. HP checked things out remotely and claims that the router must be the problem. Is that reasonable, and if another router is required. Can you suggest something that will be relatively easy to install. By the way my home computer is running XP.

i'm new to this...itunes store downloading...i've only imported from cds until today...in the middle of a download from the itunes music store i apparently lost my connection and although the song is paid for and shows up in my music library i cannot play it! i've read some stuff posted and i don't see anything hopefull...if anyone knows how i can fix this problem PLEASE HELP!

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

iTunes Store loads partially or returns "Error 306" or "Error 10054"
Proxies, parental control settings and software, security or filtering software, or a bad iTunes Store cache can cause this.
To address proxies, Remove Internet Options proxy settings ( http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1490 ) and connect to the Internet without a proxy.
To reset iTunes Store cache:
In iTunes, choose iTunes > Preferences (Mac) or Edit > Preferences (PC).
Click the Advanced tab.
Click the "Reset cache" button.
Click OK and see if the issue is resolved.
Adjust Parental Controls in iTunes:
Open iTunes.
Access iTunes preferences:
On a Mac: From the iTunes menu, choose Preferences.
On a Windows PC: From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
Click the Parental Controls tab.
Remove restrictions on Parental Controls.

The downloads disappear when firefox shuts down in the middle of a download

In the previous versions of firefox, I could stop my downloads in the middle, shut down my computer, restart and continue my downloads from that point on... but that doesnt seem to be the case with 3.6... I have to restart my downloads from the very beginning ... can you help me with this problem?

Does it help if you remember Downloads: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: "Remember download history" ?
Also make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the download history

Since December 20, I cannot download podcasts and itunes cannot connect to the store.
I am getting the error message that an unknown error 310 has appeared.

Firefox crashes during the middle of a download.

when I download a file the browser and Library screen sometimes shuts down and closes in the middle of the download... I have to reload the browser and then restart the download... I have Firefox version 26.0 ... I just updated to this version about a week ago and that is when my problems started with the browser and library screen shuting down and closing during the download...
can I restore my browser to the older version? or is there a fix for this problem?..

To downgrade you have to uninstall your current firefox version, and then install the new version.

Why does Mac App Store log me out in the middle of a download of Lion and "resume" won't work?

I have previously purchased a copy of OS Lion and have been loading it onto each of three Macs in our home network. This worked fine for an iMac G7 and iMac G5, but is failing for a White Macbook (running Snow Leopard 10.6.8). Other apps have been successfully downloaded on the Macbook, so the problem seems to be only associated with Lion (which is a 3-4hr dowload).
When I log onto my Mac App Store account and select "Purchases", my prior purchase of Lion is there as it should be. I then select "Install" and it starts to download as expected. Then about 10 minutes into the download, it pops-up that it is going to log out and offers me the option to click "cancel" (within so many seconds) to elect not to log out. If I select "cancel", it continues to download normally until about an hour later when the same thing occurs, and so on. If I do not select "cencel", then it logs out and when I log back in "Resume" doesn't work in App Store. It shows that zero GB have been downloaded when at least 1GB have already been downloaded.
So, unless I sit there vigilantly watching the download for 4 hours to select "cancel" whenever it pops up. I just can't download the software this way. With a capped data plan, this has the potential to be very expensive.
Btw, I have tried the simple thing of switching from a WIFI connection to cable, but this had no impact on the problem.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:

Sharing files with a computer not connected to the Internet

I have one iMac G5 (20" Flat Panel Power PC) and another older PC with Windows XP on it. Only my iMac is connected to the Internet and I downloaded some songs from iTunes music store. It has simply become a nightmare to transfer those songs to my PC. I have tried every trick in the book (created disc backup by enabling 'Backup only iTunes purchases), created a regular Data CD, tried converting the downloaded files using Quicktime Pro but nothing helped. Because of a lock on the music files as soon as I try to play the songs in my iTunes on PC, it asks for authorization. I am not connected to Internet on my other computer and it is so old that I dont even have an ethernet port in it. Is there anyway, without upgrading it, to play my purchased music files on my PC?

Not directly, no. A computer has to be able to connect to the Internet, at least briefly, to obtain the necessary authorization from the iTunes Store. But you can burn the tracks to audio CD, at which point you can use that CD on your PC just as you would any other audio CD.
