Broken forum?

While accessing the Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard forum http://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=235 I'm getting a truncated display with this message:

I've emptied the cache, restarted Safari, and only see the error message when accessing that forum. This one and others are behaving normally.

This type of issue is usually handled automatically by the board software itself, and shouldn't be reported unless it persists for an hour or more. It means that a specific thread has lost its parent in the database, and any forum or category thread listing which has that thread as part of it will be affected.
Nothing done at your end can resolve the issue.

[solved]Possible issue with forum search

This thread does not show up in a search for "xfce" in "Topic subject only".
Edit: apparently, all searches are "described" the same way, so nevermind the rest.
Also, the description for the search is
Topics with posts containing 'xfce'
which seems like a poor description for a search in "Topic subject only".
Topics containing 'xfce'
would be much more appropriate I think.

ABAP forum over 10.000 Threads ...

Hi ABAPers,
Congratulations we just crossed 10.000 threads in our ABAP Programming forum.
It will be no secrete to you that we are getting about 250 posts a day. Things are very fast paced.
Which begs the question: Should we split it as we did the /community [original link is broken] forums just a couple of weeks ago?
If so, what areas? I want to collect some input first and then we will do a quick poll about it.
The question was asked here before. I can't find the thread. 10 points for the one who posts the link, so that we don't have to start the discussion from scratch.

1. Basic ABAP: Basic programming structures, ABAP OOP, List processing, Programming database updates, Enhancements (BAdIs, customer-exits), Modifications, Performance issues, ...
2. Dialog Programming & EnjoySAP: Classical dialog programming, EnjoySAP controls, CFW, GFW, ...
3. Output Issues: SAPScript, SmartForms/SmartStyles, Adobe Forms, ...
4. Integration Issues: EDI, ALE, IDoc, OLE automation, ...
5. ABAP WebDynpro: -After it is shipped-
6. Module specific: Questions related to a specific module, e.g. asking an HR function
and if the old threads will not be redistributed, another forum for "Old Threads" will be required.

Xi payload data

Hi,
I am trying to fetch xi payload using CL_XMS_PERSIST.This is my partial code.

     RECEIVING
            SIZE   = SIZE.
But , i am recieving SIZE as ZERO , there by i could not execute other methods.The SIZE is ZERO as the table URES in method GETATTACHMENTS has no entries.
What could be the right solution to get payload..

JDBC Connect error on Linux: UnsatisfiedLinkError

I'm running one of the sample JDBC programs
provided by Oracle (This installation is on

now, as I found out how to get around the broken forum login, thank you, Dave, for your reply. You were right, the configuration was the problem.
I did Naming.rebind("//localhost/MyServiceName", serviceObject); which worked well on Windows even when connecting remotely. On Linux I had to put the actual IP address of the machine to make it work, i.e. something such as Naming.rebind("//192.162.2.99/MyServiceName", serviceObject); ...simpler than I feared... ...just in case someone encounters similar trouble.

Copying Inspection results from inspection lot.

Dear All,
Please explain me the process of copying inspection results in QM. Following is my clients requirement:
During receiving inspection they receive the same material in say 10 batches (coils). They want to create the independent batch for each coils of same material for tracking mechanism, so I don't have any option to generate that many number of lots.
Out of this 10 lots, say there are 2 masters (mother coils). Means there are two set of characteristics only which i need to copy for 5 lots each.
As I learn from SDN, EA - PLM need to be activated . But I don't know what are the adverse effects of activating same.
Please explain me the process.

Refer the OSS note 855959 - Activation of Extension Sets via SPRO not successful.
I think all your doubts regarding to this Enhancement package will get resolved.
The big warning is given there in that note itself about implementing the EA-PLM enhancement is.....
Once an Enterprise extension set has been activated, it cannot be de-activated by de-selecting the option in the SPRO or otherwise, because BC Set activations cannot be undone.

Crystal Reports monthly revenue calculation

Hy I would like to create a cross tab from B1 data sources to show the monthly revenue. I use SBO 8.8 and CR 2008.
My problem is that I don't know exatly how the SBO is calculating on the sales analysis.
Normaly is working like this:
(oinv.doctotal-oinv.vatsumoinv.rounding)-(orin.doctotal-orin.vatsumorin.doctotal)-(ocsv....)-(ocsi......)
Normaly the correcting invoices has parent invoice but some times not so I have also problems to chose the right linking field between the charts.

Business Package FIN 1.40 - Create a change Request Iview

Hello Experts,
I'm facing a difficulty on implementing the following Iview : Create a change request.
When I run the Iview, the 1st step is well displayed and all the input fields are empty.
The problem appears when i want to add the Edition Type in the correct field :
- the Edition type value has been created in SPRO and I don't see any value in the search help....
On the contrary, I can select the customized change request I have created in SPRO without any problem.
Did you have to face this issue anytime?
How did you solved it?

Connection Framework - HowTo run SDNConnectorExample

we have some trouble with the SDNConnectorExample. It always fails on the line

The following error occures after applying SP12 on JE22/Portal on a EP6.0.
We try to connect to a IDES 4.7x200 system. The Connector Test on the SLD System

Making a text field mandatory if another text field is populated

Question is about Acrobat X Professional form's
I have fields called Milestone and Baseline which are both text boxes, initially empty when the form opens and default to non-mandatory.
When someone enters something in the Milestone box I want to ensure that they have to complete a Baseline date.

Log to check as to which user has accessed which report?

Hi,
I am using BOBJ for report creation and SAP BI for datawarehousing.
The user can access these reports using the iviews created in the portal. Due to some performance testing requirements we need to check which user accessed which report and if he has drilled down to a particular level in a report, then there should be a means to know that as well.
BO offers a few standard activity reports to check which user has done which activity. However the details of drill down etc. cannot be checked using that. Please help as to how can we check that too.

Archserver project: Is it official?

Hi,
I have a simple homeserver that was running debian lenny until it fell over, I think it was because the HDD was full. Instead of fixing it I installed the new hardware I was meaning to use for months and then proceeded to setup Arch on it. I run Arch on my desktop with gnome and love the KISS approach over a distro like ubuntu, which I now find confusing I might add.
I post a lot on another forum and a gentleman on there suggested "Archserver" project, is it an official project or is it a fork? Anyone using it? Anyone like it?
My homeserver only runs sabnzbd, mediatomb, transmission-cli, SAMBA and NFS, so nothing worth crying over if the server needs fixing one day. Normal Arch runs great on it so i'm reluctant to start again unless people say "archserver" project is brilliant.

This is pretty much exactly what my arch home server runs and it's been fine for the past year or so. Nice to see some crossover from the 'other forum' also

IWS 6 SP4 - strange auth/e behaviour

My iWS 6 is letting me log in with any old bogus password, so long as I supply a legitimate username (a UID from my directory - it doesn't care for unknown usernames). What have I missed?
I have an ACL file of:
