  • How do I disable all HTML in incoming email messages?

I just switched from Thunderbird to Mail and discovered that I cannot disable HTML rendering in email.
I don't want to turn off only images. I want all HTML commands to be ignored.
Most HTML is an annoyance, esp. with all the bad web designers who put gray text on a white background among other things.
For now, it's back to Thunderbird.

The solution is to go back to using a more configurable email client (Thunderbird) until Mail.app is fixed. Configurability is often my top criterion in picking a software application.
    You can tell Apple here:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html
But I don't think it is realistic to think Mail is ever going to conform to your desires, so you should continue to use whatever app works best for you. There are many requests in these forums for Mail to be enhanced so people can produce and send html more easily, and a very tiny number who want receiving it disabled.

  • How do I disable responding to an 'X-Confirm-Reading-To" header in incoming email?

I am receiving emails with 'X-Confirm-Reading-To:' and 'Notice-Requested-Upon-Delivery-To:' headers. I consider the automatic response to these headers a privacy violation. How can I disable all such "return receipt request" functions?

ok the attached base64text file, which by the way is the message, your provider or your SPAM tool flagged it as spam. With the following report
''X-Ham-Report: Spam detection software, running on the system "harvey.tchmachines.com", has
identified this incoming email as possible spam. The original message
has been attached to this so you can view it (if it isn't spam) or label
similar future email. If you have any questions, see
    root\@localhost for details.''
The original html, which incidentally simply says "Whats Up" contains a link to this image http://mxsvr.net/we6xgr4zsjbf/signature.gif. The we6xgr4zsjbf is probably a bas64 representation of your email address, or some other value that he has linked to your email address.
Interestingly when I tried to go to that internet address, my anti virus blocked the attempt with the following message.
    '''ESET NOD32 Antivirus - Alert
    Access denied !
    Details:
    Web page:
    http://mxsvr.net/we6xgr4zsjbf/signature.gif
    Description:

I was not able to set up the incoming email settings in my test discussion board list.
even though my Exchange Server team has done the setup the Exchange related things in my SP 2013 server, I was not able to see any emails flowing into discussion board.
Due to soem reason, Emails  not sending to discussion boards.
    Am i missing any steps?
I have attched the below screen shot, which shows what i have done in the list settings:
Is anyone has faced this issue before?

    Hi  ,
According to your description, my understanding is that the discussion board cannot receive emails after you set up the incoming email settings in the discussion board list.
Could you find the email in the  drop folder?
If not , please make sure you have configured the incoming email settings correctly:

If you can, what is the x-sender’s address   in the email which is captured into the drop folder ?

  • My incoming emailes default to plain text even though view-message body as-originalHTML is checked

Most (not all) of my incoming emails (in particular from one main client's employees) always come in plain text, I want to be able to view all message in HTML format and reply in html format (this is generally fine fr my response, but the trail leaves all their comments in plain text).
I have view-message body as-originalHTML as ticked. Stil doesn't work. I run Thunderbird 24.4.0 on Mac 10.7.5. My server is gmail
FYI, In account settings I have ticked the box 'compose messages in HTML format". Not that that is relevant..

The email client they are using is relevant, and are you sure your getting HTML in the emails (ctrl+U will show message source)
The normal arrangement is if Plain text and HTML are sent they are Plain text, followed by HTML. But having both like that is not a problem.

  • Can I configure incoming email to a Calendar in SharePoint Online 2013?

I'd like to send invitations from my Outlook Calendar to my SharePoint Calendar inSharePoint Online 2013. Is there a way to do this? I've searched and see that I need to change the Incoming Mail Settings, but that doesn't appear under
Communications in SharePoint Online.   I'm not sure how to configure the Incoming Mail Settings to appear under Communications in SharePoint Online.

  • Workflow not being triggered by incoming email

    Hello,
I have a SharePoint Designer workflow that triggers when a new item is created. The library the workflow is attached to specifically receives incoming emails. The workflow runs perfectly in our SharePoint 2010 environment, however, it does not
run on incoming emails received in our SharePoint 2013 environment. If I upload a document into the library, it will run. It also runs if I manually start it. It just won't run automatically when it receives an incoming email. Is this a bug or is this
to be expected with SharePoint 2013? Thanks.

    Hi Gmchusyr,
I recommend to check if workflow trigger on email is enabled in SharePoint with the PowerShell command below:
    $spWebService = [Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.SPWebService]::ContentService
    $spWebService.DeclarativeWorkflowAutoStartOnEmailEnabled
If it is False, please enable it with the PowerShell command below and then check the results:
    $spWebService = [Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.SPWebService]::ContentService
    $spWebService.DeclarativeWorkflowAutoStartOnEmailEnabled = $true
    $spWebService.Update()

For SharePoint 2013 workflows, the workflows can be triggered by incoming emails, however the workflows will fail after starting.
In this case, we need to activate the Workflows  can use app permissions in Manage site features in site settings.

  • Incomming emails have vanished

    Hi,
Yesterday I moved from Mobileme to Icloud.
Now for some reason all my incomming emails are gone.
Not on my Iphone, Ipad or Icloud account.
Any idea were to find them or how to get them back?

I don't know how you were try to change the password etc but this worked for me.
To change the MyBT username and password log onto MyBT and go to My Profile. Click on edit My contact details if it is not already, change the contact email address to your BT email address. Enter your present MyBT password to confirm.
Now go to "My Security Details" and edit the password to make it the same as your email password. You can obviously change the security question and answer if you want.
If that doesn't work try the forgotten password here for BTYahoo.

  • Almost all incoming emails going to junk folder

I've been using Thunderbird for a few months now with very few glitches. However, suddenly, it is putting almost all my incoming emails into the junk folder. I believe my junk settings are appropriately set. I have attached a screen shot of them. What I am doing wrong?

Just to verify that its TB and not the server that moves the mail into junk, change destination of your junk to a local junk-folder.
Then also disable adaptive junk mail control temporarily. To see if this is causing it.

  • Incoming Email on Windows Server 2012

    Windows Server 2012:
SMTP and the associated management tools are deprecated. Though the functionality is still available in Windows Server 2012, you should begin using System.Net.Smtp. With this API, you will not be able to insert a message into a file for pickup; instead configure
Web applications to connect on port 25 to another server using SMTP.
    Question:
If this is the case, is there a TechNet article that has instructions for installing/using incoming email on a SharePoint 2013 web front end?
    What I know:
Why do we install deprecated features http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263260 (Plan incoming email for a SharePoint farm in SharePoint 2013) to make this work?
    What to do:
I want to use the basic scenario for incoming email, but with the information above about Windows Server it looks rather like idiotic to follow those directions in the TechNet article.
    How to do this:
"... instead configure Web applications to connect on port 25 to another server using SMTP." Huh? Oh stupid me!
    Thoughts???
NOTE: We do use Exchange for incoming email.
    Chris

You will need to continue to use the IIS6 SMTP Virtual Server for SharePoint incoming email. I'm sure by the time the feature is dropped, the SharePoint group will have an alternate solution.

  • Sharepoint Foundation 2010 incomming emails not delivered to library

    Hello
we run a SharePoint 2010 Foundation server and an Exchange 2010 Mail Server. I want to add incoming-email-support to a SharePoint Library.
I have installed and configured SMTP Server on the local SPF, enabled incomming email support on SharePoint via Central Administration, here I have specified the respective drop Email-Folder. Have added a new send-connector on Exchange in order to forward emails
to the SharePoint SMTP (while SMTP and Sharepoint is the same host)
I also have configured the Email-Settings on the library settings, configured a email-address, allowed to recieve email from any sender via Library Settings / Incomming-Email-Settings. Nevertheless the sender is a AD Member of the same Acrive Direcotry whom
I gave contributor permissons to this site and library. It is a document library.
While I send an Email to the resp. library this one is delivered via Exchagne to the SMTP server, put into the drop folder. From there it disapears very soon, obvioulsy it's beeing picke dup be the Timer Service. But the Email never arrives into the document
library in charge. Actually I have no idea where the emails went without leaving a trace once they have been picked by the timer service from the drop folder of the smtp server. Actually I don't know for sure who pickes up the emails, but I can tell that they
disapear after just a few minutes or secons from this folder where they can be found as .eml for the time beeing.
Any suggestions where to search, where to look into some log-files etc. are highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

  • Why is iMessage taking my incoming emails and then not making them available for my PC to get?  Why can I not send a text msg with photos when iMessage is turned off (but MMS is still on).

    Apple is great!
Why is iMessage taking my incoming emails and then not making them available for my PC to get?  Why can I not send a text msg with photos when iMessage is turned off (but MMS is still on).
I compose an iMessage with the destination as my email address and I attach 2 photos I want on my PC.  I send them several times from my iPhone 5C but they never arrive. I look at my ipad later and realize that it's iMessage app is getting ( and swallowing) these emails. I then turn the ipad off.  Still can't get the photos through because iphone is now getting them on it's iMessage.  I turn off the iMessage feature and try to send photos from text msging.  Phone tells me it can't send photos unless iMessage it turned on.  What happened to regular MMS text messaging?  I go and try to send photos as an email attachment and see that there is no option to attach from the stupid email program.  I look up online to learn about the brave new world of apple attachments and send them.
Why is iMessage taking my incoming emails and then not making them available for my PC to get?
The email program on my iphone is not configured to remove messages from the server.
If iMessage is turned off I don't have the issue.
Why can I not send a text msg with photos when iMessage is turned off (but MMS is still on).

Did not work. I've selected iMessage to ON and left it. After a few hours I recieved a message "activation unsuccessful. Turn on iMessage to try again". This has been going on for the past 3 days.

  • How do I stop two copies of Incoming emails appearing in my inbox

Quite suddenly, this morning two copies of most Incoming emails have started to appear in my inbox

presetly you are using POP from gmail(Which is default), use IMAP settings(visit google website for configuration) and then you will not see your sent mails in INBOX.

  • I have sent in a question but don't think I worded it right. I have 3 email accounts. The all work fine. My problem is that I set up a "notication" the same way on all 3 but incoming emails are only notifed to me (alerts) on one of them.

How do I get notifications of incoming mail? I have set this up on 3 accounts and the "beep" only works on incoming email for one of the 3 accounts. The emails come in fine but I have to open up the phone to see if I have any messages.

Have you looked on all the pages of your iPod?  Have you looked in all your folders?  Have you you tried finding the apps using the iPod's search page.
