My iPad Mini with retina display has 32GB and has wifi+cellular.
I tried to charge my ipad, but it won't charge and if I connect my ipad with my MacBook Pro with retina display, says my MacBook that he close its ports because of a to high energy usage.

I've just received the replacement today, and I restored it from a backup I made back in July when my old iPad didn't have iOS 7. My granddaughter broke the screen on her iPad mini. When I tried to get it replaced, the repairman stated two pins were dislodged and the touch screen will not work. How di I recover her pictures etc

The only way is if you have a backup on a computer or on iCloud.

My mini's screen broke while I was just holding it in my hands....it didnt get stepped on, dropped or anything else..I'm really hoping that Apple will replace the screen cuz it wasnt user error or anything....any thoughts??

You can certainly take your mini and ask, but don't be surprised if Apple doesn't replace the device for you. Screens rarely (if ever) simply break by themselves. And broken screens are not covered under Apple's warranty to begin with.
If you had purchased AppleCare+ ($99) at the time of purchase, you would be entitled to two replacements during a 2 year period at $49 each replacement. Without that, the process for a replacement unit is called "out of warranty" and typically costs 50% of the cost of the unit when new.

You can either do an out-of-warranty replacement of your mini at your nearest Apple Store (make a Genius bar appointment) or sell yours for parts and use the money you get to buy a new one.

Hi, yes I'm using the original apple cables.
This definitely isn't user error nor confined just to me, the devices are used by different people in the home.
On a quick sample around the office (survey of 7 people let me add) 4 of them said the cables had broken on them and had to be replaced.
Having also searched through the forums it appears this is a fairly widespread issue.
It's defo not user error!

Accidental damage is not covered by the warranty unless you have Apple Care+ which allows for two incidents ofa ccidental damage and there is a $49 copay for each incident. You do not have Apple Care+ so this would not be covered for you.
If you are saying that the screen broke on its own, you would have to convince Apple that it happened that way.
Apple offers an out of warranty iPad replacement with a refurbished device and the cost starts at $249.00 in the U.S. for an iPad 1. Apple does not repair iPads at this time, they offer these replacement devices. You can read more about it here.
