Is there any way I can get the songs and apps in my Purchase History into my actual library on itunes?

You buy only one download.
You can try e-mailing itunes store support and see if they will make an exception.
Click "Support" at the top of the page and follow links to itunes support.

you have a ps cs4 license for mac and you have some way of finding your serial number.

I lost all the music on my ipod nano trying to sync with itunes. Can I retrieve the songs?

I tried to sync my iPod music library into my newly downloaded iTunes last. Before I knew it, thje music was gone! It not on iTunes or the iPod(Nano 4th) Is there any way to retrieve the music? Thanks in advance for your time.

Ipod can't play the song normally /sound problem.

You have something blocking iTUnes store like a FIrewall, a pop up blocker in your browser or antivirus.
If you using the foxfire browser its causing the block, I have forgot the exact setting, but I do remeber there is one setting in that browser that causes this

Sorry Ralph, but music purchases from the iTunes store are a one time download only, so you'll have to repurchase these tracks. However, some individuals have been allowed to redownload this purchased music for free by contacting iTunes support and explaining your situation to them. Worth a shot at this point.

Someone stole my ipod from my home. But I had bought at least 30 songs on my ipod. I usually sync it about once a month to back up my music but they stole it before I had the chance. How can I retrieve the songs that bought on it so that I wouldn't have to pay twice? Can anyone help with that?

Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

Stolen ipod and computer - can I retrieve my songs?

My computer and ipod were both stolen in a break-in. (I have the serial numbers and the police report number). Is there any way I can retrieve the songs I had on my ipod and put them into the replacement? For example are they stored somewhere on itunes linked to my account?

Songs which you purchase are downloaded to your computer, there is nothing stored anywhere else on your behalf, all that is kept is a record of your purchases. The policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage." iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. You buy one and only one download.
It is your responsibility to move/copy/backup your music.
Certainly you did not update your ipod without making sure that you had transferred anything purchased on the ipod to your computer and included it in your regular backup copy of your computer.

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If you have failed to bakup, then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases
