I dropped my iPod touch and the screen cracked like crazy, I just got it for Christmas and its within its year warranty, what should I do?

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $199 for the 64 GB one and $99 for the others. They do not fix yours.

I bought an IPod touch (4th generation) and after a really pathetic 4 days I managed to accidentally drop it and the corner of the screen cracked and it runs down to the touch screen slightly. It is still fully functional but I'm afraid the crack could increase and it just looks awful, so I was wondering how much it would cost to replace considering that it was still in the warranty. Because I recently forked out £240 on and IPod, I can afford anything too ridiculous on top of that. Any help would really be appreciated.

A broken screen is not covered by the warranty. However, sometimes if you make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store they will exchange it for no cost, especially for a new iPod.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

Yes, there literally hundreds of video editing Apps for the iPod in the App Store if you want to edit directly on the iPod.
Alternatively, you can always download the video to your computer and edit it there with any video editor of your choice.

I don't think so. Did you do a DFU mode restore, which removes all software/firmware. Apple though does have it's reason, it can make viruses easy to get ya cuz once u jailbreak, all security holes r open cuz I heard that jailbreakers do that so they can modify software to change the UI, and the iPod has to let the code be modified, so anybody can add malware to ur iPod and it would think it as normal code. Plus ur iPod could go into a inoperatable state. But, no if u restore I think you will be fine.

my touch screen is not responding well when i type on my screen and instead of typing a it goes to "o" and many other letters

Try rebooting the ipod by pushing and holding the on/off and home buttons simultaneously until it powers down and you see the apple symbol.

probably not because it is cracked, mine started separating at the top for no reason, not one crack or scratch anywhere just separting and opening up, I mailed it in to apple and they sent it back saying because we opened it up that voided the warranty. I sent it in because it opened up, duh, fought with them for a week on the phone, they sent me a coupon for a discount of a new ipod woo hoo, I will not by another apple product ever.

Why won't ipod touch 8gb 4th generation add mp3?

i have been trying to add mp3 material on my itouch and for some reason it will not go on the ipod. is there something in the update that negates mp3 music? anything mp4 goes on but it downloads extremely slow. please help

This is normal for all software driven devices ( your tv, dvd player, computer, car, etc). At some point the older hardware simply cannot run the latest software.
There is nothing unusual about this at all.

Did you try unsyncing the music and then resyncing? Your is a common problem after iOS 5.

I am looking to buy a 32 GB white iPod touch. On some major retail stores (such as amazon and target) they have the "White Apple iPod touch 32GB 4th Generation (current version)" -- Is it the 5th Gen, or 4th. Is the 5th just a copy of the 4th with white + costs less?

There is no 5th gen iPod Touch. The only thing that changed recently is the introduction of a white model.
