Broken screen after a week (Ipod Nano)

Hi!
I bought an Ipod nano 6G one week ago. I've put it in a griffin wristband, and after puting it on a table(with no damage) I've saw the scree was broken.
I supose the warranty has voided, and I want to know if it's posible that the ipodd could be repared by Apple, and how could it cost (if you can tell me in euros i'll be very pleasent, I'm from Spain)
Thanks,
Pafro

  • Broken screen after three weeks of purchasing will I be able to exchange it or am I out of $200 please respond

I looked at the 90 day thing and it looks like I'm out $200

A broken screen is not covered by the Apple warranty.  However, sometime the Genius at an Apple Genius Bar will replace it for not cost.  Why not make an appointment at an Genius Bar?
Apple will replace for this cost:

A third-party place my be less expensive but you will void the remainder of your warranty. Here is on e place:

Read the PDF user manual for a possible solution:  iPod Manuals and/or iPod Nano Support
Every iPod comes with complimentary, single-incident telephone technical support within 90 days of your iPod purchase.
If you also purchased AppleCare, then your warranty is extended for technical support and hardware coverage for two years from the original purchase date of your iPod.

  • What are the screens made of on iPod nanos?

Hi I am looking to buy an iPod nano, most interested in 6th gen but everything from 4th onward looks decent to me... My current music player is last years model of the 8gb Sony Walkman.  The very first time I put it in my pocket and went for a walk, the coins in my pocket made quite the mess out of my screen.  The sound quality on the unit is amazing though... If I am going to invest in a new player, it has to have a scratch resistant screen like gorilla glass.  What are the screens made of on iPod nanos and how well do they perform against being in a pocket with things such as coins, keys and a lighter?
Thanks in advance for any helpful responses

It is Gorilla glass and is scratch resistant but not impervious. I've carried mine in my pocket with coins, keys, etc.

  • HT1339 after restoring my ipod nano (6th gen) it says that it is in recovery mode and needs to be restored. i cannot get passed this stage. help!!!

I have restored my ipod nano 6th generation and am being told it is now in recovery mode so needs to be restored which is what i have just done. I can't get any further than this. Please help.

Are you really running Windows 98? I sure hope not. :S
I have noticed a few others with the same problem the past couple of weeks. Many of them were able to resolve the issue by doing a low level reformat of the iPod's flash storage using the instructions in this article.

  • After restoring my iPod Nano it won't reset.

Recently I had some trouble with my iPod Nano (4th Generation) where whenever I plugged it in iTunes would freeze and my computer would be unable to access the iPod or unplug it. This occurred after updating iTunes and then restarting my computer while the iPod was still plugged in, for whatever reason my computer would not log out with the iPod still plugged in so I had to remove it physically. When I tried plugging it back in the computer would not restart until I had removed it again. After all this whenever I tried plugging it in iTunes would freeze and stop responding and I Windows would not let me access it. After reading some articles, reinstalling iTunes and rebuilding my library I eventually managed to get the iPod connected by putting it in disk mode and then connecting it to my computer. With that done I then proceeded to try restoring the iPod. This appeared to work but I think I removed prematurely when it appeared that it wasn't going to get past the apple logo. I tried again and got it back into disk mode and tried restoring it again. This time I have left it plugged in with iTunes open but it still won't go past the apple logo and it has been like that for at least 30 minutes. Is it still recoverable?

  • How much will it cost to get a cracked screen replaced on a ipod nano 6th generation

I dropped my ipod and thescrren cracked on my 6th generation ipod nano touch. How much would it cost me to get the scrren replaced? My ipod still works great and doesn't have any other problems.

$65 for the 8 GB, $75 for the 16 GB. They won't replace the screen they will replace the entire Nano. Make sure you have it backed up and make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store.

  • Screen show the apple ipod nano

Hold the Menu and Select(middle) buttons until the screen goes black. This will reset the iPod. Try connecting it to iTunes afterwards.

  • Repaired iPod cracked screen after two weeks of purchase...

I repaired my iPod 5 two weeks ago for $168, but yesterday, I cracked the screen. If I go back, do I have to pay 168 again? And can I get Applecare + and if I do, will they repair it for $50? I don't wanna get in trouble with my parents cuz this is now my second breaking it and I don't want my parents paying it for me. And are there any cheap third party repair shops?

    You can't get AppleCare+
Purchase AppleCare+ with your new iPod. Or buy it within 30 days of your iPod purchase:

You said "I repaired my iPod 5 two weeks ago for $168"? Do you mean that Apple exchanged it for another one? If so then Apple will do it again for same price

  • HT4061 iOS 6.0.1 Sudden activation screen after 2 weeks of use and battery issues.

I bought an iPhone 4 from a friend of mine about 2 weeks ago, he works at the carrier store so it's completly safe, no issues on the phone until now, no jailbreak, not hacked or modded. I left it charging for the night and when I woke up it was out of charge, when I connected it again it sent me to the activation screen, when I plugged it out it shut down, when I connected it again on my pc, it couldn't last 5 seconds on the Apple boot logo because it shut down. Help?

It could be, but if you can't get it to power up long enough to do a restore, I doubt it.
Google "iPhone DFU mode". See if that helps. If you don't live close to an Apple Store, call Apple Care.

  • 7th generation iPod nano flashes apple logo with a white screen and won't play.  What is wrong with it?

I have a 7th Generation iPod Nano that started flashing the Apple logo with a white background.  I have tried Diagnostics, restoring the iPod and even resetting it.  At one point it was in a Restore Loop.  I'm thinking maybe it has a virus but reading further says that I may be missing one of the drivers.  Is there any way to fix it without taking into a tech?? Please help...miss my music!!
