Broken screen e75 - transfer contacts?

After dropping my E75 a few too many times the screen is broken, phone works otherwise i presume. Im trying to copy the contacts from the phone to Mac via iSync, but get this "cannot connect to this device" error message..it finds device so bluetooth seems to work - any idea why? Also, if trying to connect via cable I get error msg that USB mode not supported by Nokia Multimedia Transfer or iSync.. Great with some help on how to add the device in iSync!! thanks

Till someone provides the 'Blind Steps' you may try connecting again thru' USB.. When you get the "Installing Software Support, accept all installation on your phone" message ..Press the center of the Navigation key to see if it starts installation .. You may also try the Left selection key if that doesn't work ...
..You mentioned that you have tried to sync my contacts but this fails as well. All goes well at the beggining, the software prepares the phone for contact sync, then it shows that the process is going good but it all ends in a failure message. So, are the contacts visible in the Nokia Suite if you select Contacts next to the phone icon ..?If so, instead of the SYNC, select all contacts and try drag-and-drop to the Contacts folder at the Top ...

my old computers broken so i want to update using another but im afraid of losing all apps, i get a message saying because this isnt my computer I can only transfer contacts and texts etc. how can i make it copy everything?
    cheers!

The iPhone is NOT a storage device so it does not support transferring it's data to another iTunes library.  You can transfer purchased iTunes music and apps, but any music you ripped yourself or purchased from somewhere else cannot be transferred without purchasing some additional 3rd party product.
Certainly in this digital age, everyone is backing up their important data, right?  You can take the backup copy of the data on your broken computer and load it into your new one.

  • How do i transfer contacts from a broken iphone to another?

How do i transfer contacts from my iphone that will not turn on, to another working iphone?

    Hey dbricknr,
If you signed into your device with an iCloud account and backed up your contacts through iCloud, the next time you go onto that new working iPhone be sure to sign in into your iCloud account.
To do so, please follow perform these instructions on your iPhone:
Settings > iCloud > You should see somewhere with an option to sign in, from there sign in. > Once you do that, go back to the iCloud settings page on your iPhone and make sure Contacts are on.
Turning the contacts slide on should backup your new contacts you added on this phone, (If I'm correct)
Your contacts should now appear in your contacts section.
    Hope this helps!

  • Nokia 6111 Broken Screen - Turn on Bluetooth

    Hi,
I am yet another person with a Nokia 6111 with a broken screen. I have read through multiple foums and found lots of people asking the same question:
What key strokes do I need to turn on Bluetooth?
Remebber: I can not see the screen, so your instructions will need to be something like this:
    Center button (opens menu)
    Down x3 (Settings)
    Select
    Down x2 (Connectivity)
    Select (etc)
** NOTE: THE ABOVE IS NOT CORRECT - THIS IS AN EXAMPLE! **
If you can exaplin what each stage is doing so much the better.
Once I have turned Bluetooth on I plan on connecting to PC Suite to copy contacts - if you are able to check what I need to do to set up and accept a new connection then I would be REALLY grateful!
    Thanks,
    littleIdiot

    Try this:
    Centre Button (Menu)
    Left
    Centre Button (settings)
    Down x6
Centre Button x3 (connectivity > bluetooth)
    Up (on)
    Centre Button (select)
If it works you will hear a beep.
It may be easier to transfer your contacts if you get a data cable.

  • Can not transfer contacts from Nokia 1020 Windows ...

Can not transfer contacts from Nokia 1020 Windows Phone to Mercedes C. Windows Phone states that it is only voice connection when trying to transfer data, and if sharing, Mercedes will not show up as bluetooth device at all. However Merceds show Noika as a device. I tried other phones and they work, smart phones and not smart phones. What to do?

I used the following method, which means that your contacts are permanently on your iPhone (the problem with syncing to Gmail in order to 'transfer' contacts is that you need the gmail account to be active all the time in order to see the contacts), take an example of transferring contacts from Sony to iPhone:
    1. Transfer all of your contacts to the Sony Experia's internal storage. It will create a vCard file.
    2. Connect your Sony Experia to a pc
    3. Ensure that you can see the Sony Experia's internal storage files, and identify the location of the vCard file (for me it was in system/PIM)
    4. Set up an email account on your iPhone
    5. Email the vCard file to the email account on your iPhone
    6. Open the vCard file attachment on your iPhone
    7. You should now see your contacts and automatically have the option (in the same screen) to 'Add all xxx Contacts' where xxx is the number of contacts in the vCard file
    Hope that helps.

  • Can the screen from a 20" 2004 be used to replace a broken screen in a 2006?

I have a 2006 iMac G5 with a broken screen (20").  I also have a 2004 G5 with a bad video card.  Can the screen from the 2004 fit into the 2006 as a replacement?

You need to be able to:
    - Read those files from your old machine.
    - Transfer them to the new machine.
Unless you were intending to buy an external drive anyway, you don't need to buy the external drive just to transfer files. As long as your old machine is connected on the same network, you can transfer the files using Network File Sharing from your PC to your Mac.
I would however recommend purchasing the drive to use for backups with your Mac. Time Machine on Mac makes backups a breeze.
