Broken screen, not cracked glass on Xperia Z2

Sounds like a GPU issue (Graphics chip) so I'm sorry to hear this but you would need to either return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care and have your device inspected http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

Yesterday I was driving my car to pick up a friend. When I picked up the Xperia Z2 to call him, the screen was broken. The glass hasn't cracked, but the screen is shiowing lines of different colors, and it's only getting worse. It is hard to read texts now. I didn't drop the phone on the floor, my pockets were not tight, and i can't understand why it's broken. I've had this phone only since Feburary. Does this go under the warranty?

  • Hairline crack in touch screen (not the glass) in Xperia Z1

I have a 5 month old Xperia Z1 mobile phone which has never been dropped or knocked.  On removing it from a padded pocket in my bag I noticed that the touch screen under the glass has a diagonal hairline crack originating from the top centre of the phone to under the right hand corner (the external glass has no crack).  After researching this I note that this is a known fault with the Xperia series mobile phones.   http://www.xperiablog.net/2014/05/30/bbcs-watchdog-investigates-xperia-z1-cracking-screen-issue-sony...
I have not been able to contact Sony for advice using their contact us email form (dead link), live chat (not currently operating), or by phone (busy signal whenever I call).
I am really dissatisfied with my phone cracking like this particularly when it is not the result of negligence.  Can you please respond to my query and restore my faith in your customer service...

My IPad is dead. Nothing will show on the screen. Screen not cracked and no liquid spilled on it. Is there a battery that needs to be replaced?

    Battery not charging:
    1. Reset iPad; hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo
    2. Try another wall socket
    3. Try another cable (make sure it's an original Apple cable)
    4. Try another charger (make sure it's an original Apple charger)
    5. Clean Lightning port with compress air or new paint brush

  • Screen broken but not cracked

ok, so i have the 30gb model and ive only had it for 3 months. the other day i went to turn it on and the screen was all messed up. it seems there is some sort of lag or somthing where parts of the startup screen still show on the main menu. i can hardly see anything on the screen let alone navigate. ive heard of the problems people have had with their screens being cracked and apple wont fix them. this is not the case, there is no black spots or anything of the sort on my screen. will apple handle this as they should, or will they say the same to me as they say to all the others?

You can try resetting it, or even restoring it - to see if it's an internal software problem.... there's always a chance....
Then you can call Apple support, and find out if you're going to get the "tough luck" or a sympathetic ear.
Where I live, I go back to my mac store on a regular basis - they're really accomodating - especially when I can demonstrate the problem for them.

  • Broken screen, not able to log in, need to do system restore

    1. Pavilion dv6500 laptop with broken screen.
    2. Operating system: Vista
3.Error message: "The User Profile Service service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded"
    4. Microsoft updates?
I need to know (a) the key stokes required to carry out a system restore to a saved restore point and (b) the key strokes to carry out a hp system recovery without being able to see the screen.
I need this to try to retrieve the data I have on a laptop with a broken screen and vga port. I have been using an HDMI cable to connect it to a monitor but recently, vista stopped allowing me to log into my user account (giving the error above). To fix this I would use safe mode to modify my registry but safe mode does not project through the HDMI port to the external screen.
Therefore, I would like to know (a) the key strokes required to restore to a saved restore point and (b) the key strokes to carry out a hp system recovery without being able to see the screen or use the mouse.
    Thanks.

Simplest solution to retrieve data under those circumstances to me would be to remove your HDD
Plug it into another computer by eSata
Then just copy whatever you wanted onto the other HDD.

Apple's Limited Warranty http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/ for iPad excludes coverage for damage resulting from accident, disassembly, unauthorized service and unauthorized modifications.
The warranty will apply to the country of purchase. And if there is a problem needing repair you have to return it to the country of purchase.

  • My screen is cracked, how do I know if my LCD, digitizer is broken too?

I dropped my phone and my screen cracked... I found kits online to repair myself, but how do I know if it's my LCD/digitizer that's broken or just my glass?

If you open the phone to do some DIY repairs, Apple will not service the phone anymore in case something goes wrong, even if you are willing to pay for the service.

  • Problem: Cracked glass screen (iPhone 4)

    Problem: Cracked glass screen
Condition: my iPhone is less than 2 mos old.
Question: Totally aware that the warranty excludes damages due to accidents etc. but its freakin a month and a half old! Could it be repaired free of charge or for a cheaper cost? or replaced?!

What does its age have to do with being broken?
What is the difference between breaking a new iphone vs and old one?  You broke it.
You can look for a third party repair facility (voids the warranty) to see if they are cheaper.
Apple will charge $199 in the U.S.

  • My ipod is broken. The home button doesn't work, so I took it to a tech shop and they also said that the LCD cable was broken and my screen is cracked. Will apple fix my ipod or just replace it?

I would like to know if apple will replace it. If not, then I will take somewhere cheaper but it has some scratches so I would like to get a new one.

The home button doesn't work, the LCD cable is broken and the screen is cracked!  Wow.  That's the worst case of abuse that I've seen.  I think that Apple will laugh at you.

  • HT201263 My phone screen is cracked and my LCD is broken.  I need to reset to factory settings before I discard it, how can I do this?

My phone screen is cracked and my LCD is broken.  I need to reset to factory settings before I discard it, how can I do this?  I was able to get it into recovery mode, I unconnected it from my Find my iPhone (i couldn't erase that way because I can't connect to WIFI with the screen not working).  I clicked restore iPhone from iTunes, but it's been sitting on "Contacting the iPhone software update server..." for over 40 minutes.  Should I restart this process or is it supposed to take a really long time?  Thanks!

My phone LCD is broken and I need to reset to factory settings before I discard it like how you did earlier but how do you got into recovery mode to unconnected it from your Find My iPhone as I can't connect to WIFI with the screen not working?

i dropped my iphone by accident and its glass screen got cracked.
Since my phone is still under warranty, can the screen be repaired with no charge? or do i have to pay for its replacement? please answer if any of u know the answer thank u!

"Since my phone is still under warranty, can the screen be repaired with no charge? "
No  As with any warranty on any product, the warranty does not cover damage.
You would have to buy an out of warranty replacement:
Battery Replacement ServiceIf your iPhone requires service due to the battery’s diminished ability to hold an electrical charge and it is not covered under Apple's warranty, an AppleCare service contract or statutory consumer rights, Apple will service your iPhone for a service fee. For more details, please refer to the Battery Replacement tab on the left. If you are a C Spire, Sprint or Verizon customer you can also contact them for more information.

A $6.95 shipping fee will be added if you arrange service online or by calling Apple Technical Support. All fees are in U.S. dollars and are subject to local tax. When setting up out-of-warranty service, Apple will request credit card pre-authorization for the maximum service fee listed above.  This amount will be deducted from your credit limit. The final service fee we charge will be determined during testing and may be less than the service fee listed above.Certain damage is ineligible for out-of-warranty service, including catastrophic damage, such as the device separating into multiple pieces, and inoperability caused by unauthorized modifications. • I had an accident with my ipod. i did not know that; nowadays, the warranty does not cover my ipod if the screen is cracked. but now the battery is not working. the warranty does help me for something??

i want help, not the same comments that i will not be helped. i admit my fault as the owner that i had the accident, but i believed that i was secured with my warranty. otherwise i would ha decided to do not have it if i was going to be the one paying to be fixed... how can i still trust Aplee Corp if the are not helping me with a devise that i paid the price that they decided giving me a warranty to be sure that i am secure while i use my devise. now i would like to know if i can have a refund of the warranty because i am looking for a different way to fix it because i have to pay and pay. but i paid for this situation and i had such assintance leaving me aside telling me that i am hopeless and also that i have to pay more and more.
ir does not work like that. i feel bad being treated like that.

It never - ever has. The manufacturer's warranty covers you against faults due to manufacturing. (So if the screen did crack due to a manufacturing defect, Apple warranty would cover it, BUT - Apple would be aware and would be able to identify the cause of a cracked screen due to manufacturing defects, so ...)
Since you did not want comments telling you what you don't want to hear, you should condsider yourself lucky that you have any replies to this post. Sometimes, the truth hurts.
