Broken screen on Nokia 6280

Help - I broke the screen on my Nokia 6280 and want to connect by bluetooth to try to retrieve some information. Could someone please tell me what keystrokes I need to use to switch on bluetooth?

Middle button for menu, press up then right, then the middle button to select, go 6 down and press the middle button to select, then select again, then select again, then up then select.
Now bluetooth is turned on.

Broken screen on Nokia express 5800

I have a 5800 Nokia Express Music phone that I purchased when i was outside the US a few months back. I am using it in the US now. The screen developed a small crack and when I call Nokia customer service, I am told that they will not replace / repair the unit although it is under warranty. what are my options to get the unit replaced /repaired with no charges since the instrument is under warranty?

I've had the same problem with my fiance's phone, she only had the phone for 4 days and the screen cracked. Got hold of O2 and they said just send it back and we'll give you a replacement, however now we've found out that that information they gave us is incorrect, and that it is going to have to be assessed by an engineer and then repaired, at a cost they are unwilling to tell me.
I asked what criteria the 'engineers' would use to ascertain whether the phone is faulty or broken because of our own fault and they could'nt give me a sraight answer beyond the basis of if there has been damage caused by excessive pressure to the screen, which sounds like, if the screen has broken. This is troubling because I obviously wouldnt send it back unless the screen was broken. The phone has absolutley no damage to it, no scratches to the screen casing or likewise, it broken under conditions which can really be classified as 'less that normal use' as we were really very careful with it. The crack simply developed on its own. Having previously owned a Samsung Pixon which had a larger touchscreen pannel and I've given some quite bad drops to it it has survived fine! Why then is there this problem with the 5800?
If anyone else has had this problem please post on here! the more recognition this gets the better!

Nokia 6280 broken screen

Through 3 I purchased a new 6280. Within days it fell out of my pocket with the result of a broken screen (only a minor crack but screen display completely gone). Would appreciate any advise on how to get it fixed or how to source a new screen?

I said TRS are a main repair agent for 3, I never said if they are good or not. Having been in the trade for more than a few years most of the big repair hubs are a bit useless. TRS do sometimes give prefferential rates to help 3 customers stay on line.
CRC are not without their problems either. Seen the mobile press recently ? What a really shocking state of affairs, but then again I'm not shocked, I always knew they were bad, it's just taken ages and ages to make it public knowledge.
Then there's MPRC in Stoke, then again part of Caudwell, so enough said.
The only ones I would trust with my own Nokia if I had to are some of the smaller independants or perhaps Intec in North London.

Operating 6280 with a Broken Screen

My Nokia 6280's screen has been broken, and I'm trying to get the contacts and messages of it, I have a USB cable and have connected it to my PC, the software is installed but I think the phone is set on File Transfer Mode and wont connect to the PC software.
does anyone know how to turn of file transfer mode, while not looking at the screen.
or does anyone know any software that will just bypass the screen and let me know what's going on in my phone.
any help will be greatly appreciated as there are some numbers there that will be lost forever if i cant get them off the phone...

Nokia 6111 Broken Screen - Turn on Bluetooth

Hi,
I am yet another person with a Nokia 6111 with a broken screen. I have read through multiple foums and found lots of people asking the same question:
What key strokes do I need to turn on Bluetooth?
Remebber: I can not see the screen, so your instructions will need to be something like this:
Center button (opens menu)
Down x3 (Settings)
Select
Down x2 (Connectivity)
Select (etc)
** NOTE: THE ABOVE IS NOT CORRECT - THIS IS AN EXAMPLE! **
If you can exaplin what each stage is doing so much the better.
Once I have turned Bluetooth on I plan on connecting to PC Suite to copy contacts - if you are able to check what I need to do to set up and accept a new connection then I would be REALLY grateful!

Try this:
Centre Button (Menu)
Left
Centre Button (settings)
Down x6
Centre Button x3 (connectivity > bluetooth)
Up (on)
Centre Button (select)
If it works you will hear a beep.
It may be easier to transfer your contacts if you get a data cable.

Nokia 6280 screen

I have just got a new nokia 6280...which I love by the way! Just got 1 problem, if you leave it for a few minutes the screen goes black. i.e it shows the data time etc in the white strip for a few mins then goes all black.
I want to be able to see the phone status...e.g if i have any messages without opening the phone...Does this make sense!!??

Go to Menu>Settings>Display>Sleep mode and select it off. This will keep the white strip showing.

Broken screen on 6280

Rather bizarre request here. During recent festivities I fell over and broke the screen on my 6280. I now have the task of trying to connect to my pc and transfer all data ready to transfer to my new phone, Can anyone talk me through turning on default/pcsuite mode while blind!?

Nokia 1209 with broken screen i need contacts.

I have a broken screen and i need to copy the contacts from phone to screen. Does anyone know the keystrokes/steps to do this?

I think the ´up´on this answer is for a phone with a 3x3 grid. Does anyone know the key sequence to get into ´contacts´ with a list menu?

i have a broken screen and it is hard to find an attachment to fit to the pc, pescky little thing any way i need to copy the contacts over but i cant see what im doing i can get the blue tooth to work well i can turn it on but how do i connect it to other phone and send it contacts/ or how do i add my contacts to sim card

Nokia 6280 - am contemplating getting one, should ...

Ok so I went through nokia 6111's in 3 months at the beginning of the year, and ended up with a Samsung for the remainder of my contract. I am now able to upgrade again in 3 weeks time, and am contemplating getting the Nokia 6280. The man at O2 I spoke to said that he hasnt heard of many problems with them recently, but I keep seeing the odd post about them pop up on here.
Are the majority of them behaving now or should I avoid it?
I want a smallish phone, preferably one that is a flip or slide phone (as it lives in my pocket and I dont want to keep pressing buttons) I love Nokia phones, but dont want to be let down again like I was last time.
Any advice would be gratefully received.

The D600 I have is ok, but there are just little things about it I dont like - really stupid things, but ones that, when a Nokia works they have them. Changing the lcd-lens on nokia 6280

I have a nokia 6280 and the lcd screen's Lens are broken (cracks all over the it!)
I bought a replacement lens on the internet.
To the problem, How shall I change it properly?

These parts are not conceived to be user-replacable, you should have the phone repaired by a Nokia service point rather than attepting it yourself - especially if the phone is still covered by its warranty.
This repair will not be covered by the warranty, so you would have to pay for the repair, but if you attempt it yourslef and something else goes wrong with the phone you will be without warranty.

Nokia 6280 display issue!!! Pls help!!

I live in United States and i use nokia 6280 for almost 1 year, but recently my phone display turn black whenever I slide it up/down. and i can't make a call with black screen as my display, and i also think that this is a strange situation that i've never seem. well i tried to it already, like you said switch it off for 15 mins, but it still won't work. about the damaged cable i guess that might be a problem, but how come it damaged though. don't get how NOKIA works NOW!! though, if the cable damaged it should be black screen all the time rite? but mine sometimes it disappears sometimes it appears.Message Edited by janzz on 21-Jun-200702:49 PM

Nokia 6280 Wont turn-on

Just got a new nokia 6280 2 days ago.
Tried to send a vid on bluetooth and the phone went off and now wont turn-on.
When I press the power is starts with the nokia logo then 4 funny screen flashes then turns off is there any way to fix this???
Any help with be great....

Nokia 6280 wont pair or isync

Ok I am trying to set up my new nokia 6280 with bluetooth and isync. When I go to bluetooth and select "Set up new device..." It says looking for device, find it then goes to "Gathering infomation about this phone.." and just hangs there.
Normaly I would then get prompted on screen with a pair code and asked to put it into my mobile but it never gets that far.
Anyone got any ideas?
I'm running isync 2.2 the mobile is RM v3.65 the latest from Nokia. I should accouding to the isync page be able to do calendar and address book with the phone as I have been about to with my Nokia 6230 for over a year now.
Any help would be great!

PS. I have also tryed to pair the computer from the phone and it find the mac but then says passcode but I have not set one up? HELP!

Okay got the answer. It turns out it's the bluetooth adapter on your mac that's causing the problem. I had a dodgy USB bluetooth dongle from Indonesia that worked fine with my old Nokia 6600 but didn't work at all with the 6280.
But now I've plugged in a different model bluetooth dongle it works. I found the reasoning behind it here from this discussion here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=454430&tstart=15
Apparently it's some sort of standards conflict.

i bought a lumia 520 from 02 on the 11/5/13 i had a proble for the first week i couldnt text so i phoned 02 about and the girl said i need to open phone and lean sim card to see if it works i went to open the phone how it shows in the instructions and the screen shattered on me. so i told the girl from 02 what happened and she said i need to go bback to the sotre so i did and there telling me the phone is not covered for a broken screen can you help me?
