Brother "control center" insists on appearing on startup

No matter how often I go into system preferences and take my Brother DCP-7020 all-in-one out of the startup list, it returns, annoyingly. (What appears when I boot up is a window that says "ControlCenter 2" and offers options to scan to images, ocr, etc.) I rarely use this Control Center and would like it to stay put in Applications (or wherever it resides) until called upon -- how do I do this?

If it shows in the top icon tray open it and see if there is a start at login that you can uncheck
If it is in the dock click and hold until the menu comes up and uncheck start at login if it is checked
Or Look in the finder at "your harddrive" ==> library ==> startup items and remove it from there if it is there (I keep a removed start up items folder to move things to in case I want them later

  • Brother Control Center installed but won't open

I have a Brother MFC 685-cw and it plays pretty well with the Image Capture application for scanning but I would like a few more options.  I have been to the Brother website and downloaded and installed the CUPS Printer driver and the TWAIN Scanner driver for Mac OSX 10.6. They seem to have installed correctly. I have the Control Center application in my printer folder but when I click on it nothing happens. Help?

  • Brother Control Center 4 not loading

    Hi,
I've just recently purchased a Brother MFC-J6510DW inkjet printer and I'm struggling to get the Control Center to open once installed.
I'm operating on Windows 7 64 Bit. Once the installation is finished, I can see the icons for Control Center 4 (CC4), yet when I try to open it, nothing happens! This is after attempting to run as administrator, updating the software from Brother (although
I literally bought the printer this week so the CD should be up to date).
The other thing is that my girlfriend, who is also operating Windows 7 64, has installed CC4 and it works fine. This makes me think there might be something up with my computer?
    If it helps:
Samsung Series 7 Chronos, Intel Core i7 Processor, 8GB Memory
Any help would be very much appreciated as I'm struggling to get much out of Brother!
    Cheers,
    Adam.

*.RRA Files are created by InstallShield.  These are files that are created in the Program Directory when the file that the
installation is trying to replace is locked.  The file will be created with the first four letters of the real file name, followed by 4 random numbers and letters, followed by an extension of RRA.  For example, if TBMAIN.EXE is in use at the time
of the installation, a file named TBMA9F0B.RRA may be created in the program directory (or some other combination of letters and numbers following the "TBMA" portion of the file name).  InstallShield will also place an entry in the Windows Registry to
tell the computer to replace the locked file on the next reboot.  Once the file is replaced by the RRA file, the RRA file will be removed.
The above was found on the internet.  I had never encountered a .rra file before.

  • Airplay toggle does not appear in control center on ios7 neither on my iphone 5 nor my iPad 3, can anyone help please

On iOS 614 I used to have airplay toggle, when upgrading to iOS 7 it disappear on both my iphone 5 and iPad 3,

Place your finger at the bottom of the screen and swipe up.  A "control center" screen will appear and you will have the options you are looking for plus a few others easily accessible.  Airplay device must be turned on, of course.

  • How do I get the Brother Printers Control Center to work again?

The Brother Control Center for Brother's MultiFunction Printer/Scanners disappeared after upgrading to Snow Leopard. The previous files were erased in HD\Library\Printers\Brother\Utilities\ and the Control Center is gone. The Brother USA website http://www.brother-usa.com only lists software updates for 10.5. 10.6 is not listed as an option
How do I start the Control Center to scan documents and chose between different Brother printers?
    Thank you for your help.

Thank you for this link. It helped me find the solution.
    1. Take the Brother Install DVD and reinstall the printer software.
    2. Ignore that there is newer software on your computer.
    3. Restart the computer
    4. Go into the HD\Library\Printers\Brother\Utilities\Control Center directory and restart the ControlCenter
    5. Run Software Update and install the SL printer update
    6. Reconfigure the ControlCenter software buttons via the customize buttons as needed
Everything seems to be working fine again.

  • Toggle Vibrate On Silent in Control Center

I thought I'd throw an idea out there and see what folks think. I sent this to Apple just now using their Feedback page.
What do you guys think of a feature like this? Would you use this?
    Hello,
Can you please add an option to iOS 7's Control Center that is a toggle for the "Vibrate on Silent" option in the settings menu?
I can't tell you the number of times I've had my phone on a table at a meeting. My phone goes off, and of course you can hear that vibrate everywhere. I'd like a quick option to silence that vibrate functionality.
I don't want to disable notifications - sometimes urgent issues come up and I need to address them RIGHT NOW. For that reason, Do Not Disturb is not an elegant solution for me. I don't think the entire room needs to know when I get an email or text message.
Adding a toggle would be great. You could replace the calculator one with this new idea.
Or better yet, let us customize what items are in the control panel based on how we use the phone.

Place your finger at the bottom of the screen and swipe up.  A "control center" screen will appear and you will have the options you are looking for plus a few others easily accessible.  Airplay device must be turned on, of course.

  • Notification and Control Center does not show

    Hi,
Sometimes (I don't know exactly under which circumstances) on my iPhone 4 (iOS 7.0.2), Notification and Control Center won't appear with swipe gestrue.
In this situation, When iPhone is locked and a notification (like message or phone call) arrives, the screen ALWAYS shows that notification and the screen is always on, until I arraive and lock it manually !! The second one is a serious problem beacuse after some hours the battery drops dramatically.
ONLY a reboot solves this probelm.
Is there any solution to this topic rather than reboot?

Same problem! I have a 4 though so maybe that's the problem? What iphone do you have?

  • I've found two bugs in iOS 7. 1) declined calls does not appear as missed calls on the lock screen/notification centre. 2) when bluetooth is enabled from control center, it does not connect to an already paired bluetooth device

I've found two bugs in iOS 7:
    1) declined calls does not appear as missed calls on the lock screen/notification centre - iOS 7.0.2.
    2) when bluetooth is enabled from control center, it does not connect to an already paired bluetooth device automatically - iOS 7.0.

  • Logitech Control Center Software and Slow StartUp

Has anyone noticed that startup and login are slower after installing the Logitech Control Center software?
After installing it I get the beach ball when I log in which I didn't before the installation.
    Thanks for any thoughts.

  • Scheduled job doesn't appear in Control center

    Hi,
I am facing a strange problem. I installed OWB 10g R2 and I have my target and source both on Oracle 10g DB. I created lots of mappings, and when it came to scheduling them, I installed Oracle Workflow.
In any of the OWB documents, nowhere it is specified that if OWB is already installed and Oracle Workflow Server is installed later, what are the steps to link them.
Then I created a schedule and spplied them to the mapping by editing its configurations. Then as per documents I checked in Control center. But, there was no job created and so didnt appear there.
I am wondering what can be the reason for this. I simply didn't get any documentation that tells that, what if the scheduled job doesn't get created? or how do you check from OWB whether the Oracel Workflow is properly working?
    Please provide a clue!
    Thanks
    Goga

Means it cannot detect any airplay devices.

  • How do I prevent Facebook from appearing in the Control Center?

Facebook appears in the Control Center instead of the Music

It is showing the last App that used the media controls. I don't think there is any way to prevent a specific app from ever showing there. You can clear Facebook from there by playing music.

  • How do I get AirDrop to appear in the Control Center?

When I swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open Control Center I do not have an AirDrop button. Also if I try to share a photo I do not have an option to share via AirDrop.  AirDrop works on my iPad Mini but I cannot find any differences in settings on my iPhone that would explain why it does not work there. any ideas?

OK so I just found a page that says that the iPhone 4S does not support AirDrop even though it will runs iOS 7.  So that explains the issue. But boo!

  • OWB10g - Control Center Manager takes 10 minutes to appear

    OWB Client 10.2.0.2.8 / OWB Repository 10.2.0.2.0
Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0
Attempting to access the Control Center Manager from the Design Center takes 10 minutes to respond.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue?
    Thanks very much!
    Stephen

    Thanks for the help offered.
I Optimized the repository via the GUI and then purged all audit data per 306431.1 ( It's a development system - we promote to Test and Production via TCL so this is the only environment where the Control Center Manager performance has a bearing - for deployment).
Happy to say all's well - getting respectable response from the Control Center Manager now thanks.
(Not really sure whether the Optimize was a contributing factor or not).
Thanks again and Happy New Year!
