Brother DCP8080DN scanner does not show up in Image Capture's list of devic

Hi, I've been printing successfully to a Brother DCP-8080DN for a while now. I have the latest CUPS driver and recently installed the latest Twain driver from Brother. I can scan from the Brother Control Center utility but the printer scanner does not show up in Image Capture nor does it appear in the Print&Fax Print Queue (it's supposed to show up on the right side). Any idea how to get 10.6.6 to recognize the scanner? Rebooting didn't help.

I found the legacy twain_32.8ba however when I try to find the "into" location, and I typed it very carefully..there is no path to this location.
I can't understand why Adobe would do this to me. Do they expect me to go out and buy another scanner? I've written to Microtek. All previous versions of Elements I've had import from this scanner and I've installed the latest scanner software. It's horrible that I have to throw away the money I spent on this so-called upgrade and go back to a previous version. Who thinks up this stuff?
I hope other potential purchasers of 9 understand what they're getting into. I would also like to get rid of the bothersome "ID interface" at the beginning..I would like to get to Photoshop edit is quickly as possible but Adobe is putting me through some sort of merchandising of their "free" web space. I don't want it. I'm spending way to much time on this. - Larry

Of course, we don't know what Adobe told you to do. It may well be a bug. Yesterday someone posted on another forum with a similar problem as it relates to PSEv.11.

If you have not done so already, I would exhort you to go to the Canon web site to download the latest driver for your machine. The installation disk may have been produced prior to release of PSEv.12. Nothing to lose!

Repair permissions and restart your computer.
Make sure you have the updated scanner drivers installed.

It's happened to me before as well. Try holding both lock(top right) and home buttons simultaneously until u see a slight flash of wight then just reboot it normally. If that doesn't work try restoring your device from itunes

Start here. Is ti normal and expected for the computer to also see the iPod as a comera since that is how you get saved photos from the iPod to the computer.

The library module in 4.3 version does not show all the images

The library module in the version 4.3 of Lightroom does not show all the images. They are marked with gray boxes instead of images. This is especially true of the images which I tried to import to Lightroom since I downloaded 4.3 a few weeks ago. If I want to seen an image, I have to go to the develop module to see it. What should I do? Get this fixed now!!!!!!!!

My bet would be on a corrupt preview folder.
Your preview folder is located in the same folder as your catalog. It has the same name as your catalog with the word Previews.LRDATA at the end of the name. Rename this folder and let Lightroom rebuild the previews. Go to Library>Previews>Render Standard-sized Previews. See if that fixes it.

Hello I am trying to download the videos I took with my iphone onto my computer, but the iphone is not showing up in image capture or iphoto. Does anyone know how to get the videos off without degrading the video quality.

Photos captured by your iPhone shouldn't be a problem.
Photos saved from a received email, from a website, or from a received MMS has caused this problem for some, and I'm not sure why. I haven't experienced the same yet. This may include screenshots.
Email the screenshots only to yourself followed by deleting the screenshots from your iPhone's Camera Roll, and the same for any photos saved from a received email, from a website, or from a received
MMS.
Test if this resolves the problem for importing the photos and video that were captured by your iPhone.

Round trip to PS CS3 does not show the saved image in Aperture 2.1.1

Good evening everyone; I hope someone can help me to solve this.
I have PS CS3 set as my external photo processing app (exports are PSD 16-bit 300 dpi) in Aperture 2.1.1. When I process the picture in CS3 and then save it(mind you I only SAVE, I do not do SAVE AS) as PSD (or TIFF) Aperture only shows me the original file in preview with the little circle informing me about the round trip to CS3. So the processed file does not show. Instead I only see two identical versions of the same photo.( I mean, I see the master and the version with the little circle).
If I save the work in PS CS3 as jpeg and then import into Aperture, it shows fine. When trying to import the processed and saved PSD and TIFF files, Aperture only shows the original file.
If it helps, I am working on layered pictures (HDR) where I use different parts of different pictures to get wide dynamic range. I export 3 or so photos from Aperture at once to CS3, process them into one, flatten the picture and save it.
And then Aperture just shows me the original file as version.
I have done this before 2.1.1 and it worked. Not sure if I have changed anything that might be causing this.

Also, as I mentioned earlier, even if I save the processed file in CS3 as PSD (so I use SAVE AS) and then try to import it into Aperture, it "magically" only shows the orginal (as if it was just importing some layer).

I've downloaded a TV show for my ipod classic, it shows up on my PC ipod librargy but it does not show up on my Ipod play list

I've recently downloaded a 3 TV shows from the Itunes store onto my Ipod classic. It shows up on my PC Itunes playlist, andI can play it on my pc but will not show up on my Ipod play list. I've searched all of the directories and can't see it there.
I have plenty of space on the drive so that's not the issue.

I think the issue may be that these TV shows are in HD. Would that keep them from playing?
Yes. Sounds like you are trying to sync the HD version of the TV Episode. You should try to download the Standard Definition copy instead and sync that to your device as HD content is not compatible with the Nano. See here for more information:

To prevent HD versions from being downloaded in the future head to the iTunes Store, click the Purchased link, and then select TV Shows and remove the tick mark next to Download HD when available. You should be able to download the SD version now from under this same page.

IPhone not showing up in Image Capture

My iPhone 6 isn't showing up in Image Capture. I wouldn't care but the app launching every time I plug the phone in is driving me crazy. But to stop that from happening I need to select my device from the list on the left in the app -- only it's not there. Running Yosemite 10.10. Any ideas as to what to do? Thanks!

I had the same problem. I've fixed it by hard reseting my iPhone 6. (Simultaneously hold Power & Home button until you see Apple logo appear onscreen.)

When I use Firefox to monitor changes I do to HTML files locally, it does not show changes to images unless I restart the browser. Is this a bug?

I have the local and the remote versions of a page open in two tabs. I change one of the images (keeping the same name in the HTML) and upload the changed image. The tab that shows the remote page only takes a refresh to show the change. The tab showing the local page not. I have tried opening it in a new window but it still does not change. Only if I restart Firefox does it show the change. Why? Is this a bug?

grantheaslip's suggestion doesn't work for me; no change at all. (Thanks anyway.) Any other ideas? Is there another way to "hard" refresh? I don't see anything in the menu.
Also, it seems like this is a very recent problem. I thought in the past that a regular refresh did the job.

WCM_PLACEHOLDER Service does not show css and images

I am trying to use WCM_PLACEHOLDER service to display contents created with Site Studio.
But the format of the page is different from the original. Data file is ok but there is no image or CSS.

I can able to render the placeholder inside an ADF application but when I am going to edit mode (CTR+SHIFT+F5) it asking for login/password and after that it is not showing anything, just an error. My code is as below.

Acrobat 9 MAC, current scanner does not show up, only old ones

Old scanners are not in the Mac OS panel anymore, only in Acrobat. Current scanner shows up in the OS, but not in Acrobat. Strange...
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat, still only showing old scanners, not the current one.

Does your new scanner support TWAIN properly or does it use a custom driver? That's al lthat matters. Acrobat only uses TWAIN sources and the old scanners are still listed because their source info has been cached. I'm sure there is some .plist file somewhere that can be/ must be flushed to make them disappera and possibly also make Acro scan for devices anew... Anyway, ask in the Acro forum for specifics.

Scanner does not show up in PSE 9

I've used Photoshop Elements 5 for several years and my Microtek Scanner always appeared as a choice under the "import" menu. Now I spent money on this supposedly improved version of PSE, version 9, and there's NO TWAIN SCANNER. I have to scan through the scanner's software and then open in PSE 9. An extra step I've never had to take in Photoshop Elements or Photoshop before. This is an improvement? I've reloaded the latest version of the Microtek software. Still nothing under the pse9 import menu. Can this be fixed or is this a permanent "improvement" to PSE 9. I'm really put out by having to go through this extra work to get my new version to work as well as my old version. About ready to scrap 9 and count it as a loss and never buy another upgrade to this product. Adobe, why do you do this to me? What's the fix or is there one?

My Printer is installed though when I try to scan a document ,I donot see scan when I open Printer to scan.

For further assistance, I will need to know:
The Product/Model Number of your printer. Follow instructions in this link. Finding Your HP Product Model Number.
If you are using a Windows or Mac Operating System, and the version number. To find the exact version, visit this link. Whatsmyos.
If the printer is connected, Wireless, Ethernet, or USB.
If the printer is able to make copies.
If the power cable is plugged into a surge protector, or directly to the wall outlet. Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. This applies to Inkjet printers as well.
