Brother hl2270dw installer program locks up

whenever i tried to set up my brother hl 2270dw printer to my new wireless network, the brother wireless setup app locks up when it tries to find wifi networks. I never had this issue before, so I assume this is a java related issue since this app is built in java, but I could be wrong... How do I get it to work?

without the CD, it will take you 20-30 minutes to get your printer to connect to your router. it would require calling brother for warranty assistance since the app they have provided on their site doesn't work at all. it took me 27 minutes to get my printer to work, and I would suggest you don't lose your CD ever.

I have a (legally purchased) disc with InDesign CS6 that I want to install on a PC with Windows 8.1 (64-bit). After I've double-clicked the Set-up.exe file on the disc, a box is displayed showing the progress of the initialization of the installation program. When the coloured bar in the box is full – indicating that this step is completed – the installation stops and nothing more happens. No error messages are displayed.
I can't find any useful instructions in the Adobe Help pages more than a note that there is support for also Windows 8.1 even though the system requirements printed on the disc box only lists Windows XP and Windows 7. I don't know how to make this work. Does anybody here have any suggestions? I'd be ever so grateful for any tips.

Reset the printing system:
- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it."

I suggest that you clone your current drive with 10.6.8 to an external drive. If you have any issues after upgrading to Mavericks, you can boot back into 10.6.8.

Acrobat 8 standard installation program rejects my serial number, says it's "invalid"

I have a genuine product of Acrobat 8 Standard, and when I put the serial number in the installation program, I get rejected. The program says my s.n. is invalid.

Was your AA8 an upgrade? If so, the S/N requested may have been for the prior version, not 8. You have to provide both the old and new S/Ns for an upgrade. For Win7 you will need to do the updates. For Win8, you may have to purchase the new version.

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

Installation program start and end date

My requirement is to capture both start and finish dates for an installation program. Will likely require 2 new fields at order line item level.
I was thinking about using USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP. But where do I find the install information to move it to these new fields?

As mentioned by Ming, these dates are not supposed to prevent FI postings by SAP standard. However, you can create a validation in CO (OKC7) by putting as prerequisites your dates from PRPS structure and blocking the posting accordingly.

I don't think the test-scsi command is viable for that platform.
The FC disks are "viewed" by the system as external to the SCSI controller, almost as if they were in a multi-pack.
They are FC drives addressed by the chipset as SCSI disks.

Older releases that might be fine for V480's won't work on V490's.

How do I write an installation program for my applet?

I have created an applet that uses swing and connects to a database. I'd like to write an installation program so that it's possible to install the applet on any system.
How can I do? a batch-file?

Applets run within web browsers. All you need to "install" it is a machine with a web browser and the Sun java plug-in for that browser.
If you mean you've written an "application", you have several options.
1) you can distribute it as an executable jar file
2) you can distribute it with a launcher bat file / executable
3) you can distribute it using something like InstallShield for Java
4) you can distribute it using some other third party java installer.

Have Photoshop 11, When I try to save 1st image the whole program locks up. Can't even shut down program.

I open a photo, do adjustments and try to save as usual. Entire program locks up. Cannot shut down on own. Windows error box says an element of the program is not working. Have to shut down using error box.

The editor prefs often get corrupted. You may need to rebuild the editor preferences to resolve any conflicts.
Hold down the Cmd+Opt+Shift keys and simultaneously click on the Edit button on the welcome screen. Release the three keys and look behind the welcome screen by closing it. Or go to applications and hold down the three keys whilst double clicking on Photoshop Elements Editor application.
You should see a pop up box with the words: Delete Adobe Photoshop Elements Settings File?
Click on Yes
Close down Elements and re-open it in the normal way - then wait whilst it rebuilds the preferences.

Flash installation - fatal error. solaris installation program exited

Not very helpful to say the least. Seems to read the flar file and go through the upgrade and then come up with this error.
Any ideas?
