Brother Printer HL-5250DN not working with my new MacBook Pro - HELP

Hello there, I just purchased a new MacBook Pro - I've had to use PC (yuck) for work and had an IBook which was great until the dog knocked it off the dresser ...... Anyway, so I've replaced it with the Pro and love it - of course. Except......
My problem is this Brother printer (HL 5250DN) which has been an absolute workhorse, but try as I might I can't get this Pro to print - unless I physically hook it to a USB port and print, which defeats the purpose of having a wireless network allowing me to print from anywhere.....
I have tried suggestions from previous posts (unzipping the gz files - resetting the printer) but still nothing works... Any other suggestions - I'm going nuts here and Brother help line can't seem to give me a solution that works... HELP..... I really want to get going (New Years Resolutions and such) on my new projects and am absolutely grounded with this thing....

Check the Dell website for compatible printer drivers you can download and install.
Once the drivers are installed, open System Preferences > Print & Scan > Print
Then click + to add the printer.

Promo printer not working with brand new macbook pro

Just got the macbook pro with promo hp 3050 j610 printer, and it says the computer is not compatible with my computer when i try to download. I went on to hp site to download drivers andit didint work.. Please help.. I want to hook it up wireless! Thank you!

Office for mac 2011 not working correctly on new Macbook Pro- Help

I have a MacBook Pro from September and had One to One transfer all files/programs (including 2008 Office). I then purchased the Office for Mac 2011 program and they installed it (I guess they did not remove the older program). It has never worked correctly and I have tried to contact Microsoft to no avail.
None of the documents open with Fonts intact (Word and Excel open up blank though the graphic elements show up. I have to Select All and choose a font to make it show up.
Powerpoint is barely functional (none of the layouts actually show up when I select them, the sidebar of slides does not update as I type or try to change themese, etc. And then when I type, the program freezes and then shuts down.
I have uninstalled 2008 and 2011 and then re-installed 2011 but the same issues occur. Someone on the microsoft community told me to remove my duplicate fonts, I ddi that and the same issues still occur. My brother has the same laptop and Office for Mac 2011 and no issues.
Can someone help me basically try to start fresh- should I uninstall again? (I waas told that installing/uninstalling too many times can further the problem).

I am using the same OSX 10.6.8 Works fine. I akso use Page sender fax center to fax with but they just emailed me that once Lion is out Page Sender Fax won't work any longer. Guess I'll use the built in fax software

Trackpad not working on brand new Macbook Pro 15" not retina,

I've just got from UPS my new Macbook Pro 15" not retina. It's the basic model, without upgrades.
I've plugged it in and turned it on to go through the setup assistant, but I had to do it with the keyboard and an external USB mouse, because the internal trackpad is not responding at all. Is it normal?

That was the first thing I did. They told me that it was normal, but I don't believe them. They told me to wait until installation was complete and perform updates, and try after that. That's what I'll do, but I suspect I'll have to have it replaced.
Right now I'm migrating my old mac to this one. I'll update as soon as migration is complete.

It is possible to have earlier data in a tab if the latest tab had target="_top" that means the back key will not work, but if your right-click on the back/forward you see a context menu. As far as I know the only difference between 3.6 and 4.0 ws that the drop-down arrow was dropped but like before you can still right-click.
There are some extensions that mess with the Back/Forward buttons.
There is a difference between gray and '''black''' on the buttons, '''black''' means there is history in that direction.

Font will not work on my new MacBook Pro

I recently upgraded from an older macbook pro to a newer one. I had a font on the old computer (avenir) and cannot get it to work on my new computer. specifically the problem is with adobe photoshop cs5. i used to use the font with adobe photoshop cs3, which i also have on the new computer and also does not work.
when i try to add the font to fontbook, that does not work either. it searches for a moment then nothing happens. any suggestions?

CD/DVD drive suddenly not working on brand new macbook pro?

I have a BRAND NEW 15" macbook pro, was ripping some commercial cd's into my itunes, when the computer , suddenly stopped recognizing them at all, they dont even show up on the desktop . It ejects them fine. What is the deal? Is the cd dvd reader defective? Please advise...

Failing that, insert a DVD and see if it works. If it does then I would contact AppleCare as this would most likely mean you have a failed CD laser (it's different to the DVD laser).

How can i get my iPhone 4 to work with my new macbook pro

I have a printer from Dell that my macbook has recognized and it act as though it is printing but nothing is happening. The computer acts like it sends the doc to the printer but my printer is not doing anything. Any suggestions?

I love my powerbook and don't want to replace it, but this new display may make me do that, i need the 22"'s for designing work and don't want to go back to my 17" display.

I'm having the same exact problem, only I've got the Samsung 225BW. I've spent all day on the phone with Samsung tech support to no avail, and could not reach anyone at Nvidia. Tried all the usual steps to adjust the resolution, but it will NOT reset, neither manually nor automatically, to the "optimum mode" of 1680x1050.
Have you had any luck yet? I've only had my display for a few days, and it will work on 1600x1024 and below, nothing higher.
There is no option in the menu for the 1680x1050! Making me crazy, because somehow it auto-set to the 1680x1050 when I first plugged it into my Powerbook G4, but now will not revert back to that.
Also, I searched for the driver downloads, and the only ones I found were for Windows.

Why is my iSight camera is not working with the new Mac Pro?

I connected the iSight camera which is a FireWire 400 into a Sonnet FireWire 800 adapter, and connected that into a FireWire to ThunderBolt adapter and plugged directly into the Mac Pro running Mave. I receive power, noted by the green light coming on, but the computer does not recognize a camera. Does anyone have an idea why this is.

We are all busy with many other problems in Pages 5.
Unless you have found some real reason to use Pages 5 just go back to Pages '09 which should still be in your Applications folder, until Apple sorts this all out.
